Hi Teacher Kaye, ang kapatid po ng asawa ko ay may autusim. 28 years old na siya kaso hindi nya alam ang situation nya dahil hindi tanggap ng parents nya before kaya pilit niyang ginawang normal ito. Nakapag tapos naman siya ng college at nakakapag trabaho naman sa company ng ilang beses, subalit hirap siya sa pakikipag socialization at pagsasalita.. madalas doble doble ang salita niya at palaging kinakabahan sa pag sasalita.. hirap din kmi na ma encourage siya sa pagpapagupit ng buhok at pagaayos ng sarili.. paano po ba ang magandang gawin para masabi sa kanya ang condition nya.. salamat po

May i know the doctor that specializes in ADHD? I have a 16 year old daughter who has been struggling since she was young. I even thought she had autism same as her elder brother because she was a delayed talker, but the developmental pedia I brought her to said she has more of a speech delay than autism. Moving forward a few years more, she excelled in academics because she is a bright child, but the socialization aspects and some behaviors prevented her from being happy in her school. A lot of the signs for Adhd can be observed in her, so I brought her again to a psychologist. The psychologist only said she has anxiety issues, although this is indeed true, my mother’s instinct is telling me that this is just not only the case. I am willing to bring her again to another specialist just so she can have a proper diagnosis. I am not saying what the previous doctors said to not be true, but maybe they were not able to see the whole picture, that the problems she keeps on having are because of her having Adhd. It would help us greatly if we are given a sort of guidance to which medical professor we can go to. Because I also read that so many Adhd patients were diagnosed so late, most especially with girls.
