Love this song. Im a very beginner guitarist trying to figure this out because of my love for the tune. Your F chord looks easier than the one in the book that has b and e high barred with the index. I can't do it yet : ( Ill give your F a try later!
Hey, the lesson looks great and your playing sounds spot on. I've always had a little trouble learning songs however with video lessons or tabs individually but If you could find some tabs that go along with the way you play do you think you could add a link to the description? It would go a long way, thanks !
Thanks for your help and for sharing your video. I love The Lumineers!! :) I have a question especially since I don't know how to play and only know a couple chords. F chord in other tutorials and books show using the first finger and barring it across all strings. I "think" I found a way to cheat because my finger isn't long enough to bar all the strings. What fingers do you hold down when you play an F chord?
Remember that every chord can be played a number of different ways. If it sounds good then it works! For this song I like to play the F chord with my first finger on the second string, my second finger on the third string pinky on the 4th string and ring finger on the 5th string. No barre necessary.
Thanks! The G is a little unusual. I play the small E string on the 3rd fret with my pinky, the A string on the 2nd fret with my middle finger, and the big E string on the 3rd fret with my ring(3rd) finger. Hope that helps!
You're not really good at explaining the strumming pattern. when you explain it I can't see your hand, and when you show it you're not explaining. I've tried to figure it out by myself for a while now but I can't seem to get it.

Nice tutorial! Appreciate it Michael! We need more quality and clear tutorials like this!
Broooooo, you good with strings🔥
Awesome! This is a lot easier than I expected it to be! Good job explaining.

Very accurate!

thank you for this!
What I found that worked with the theme thing, is just lowering your ring finger down a string and keep on strumming.
Great lesson mate, cheers!
Great job bro Thankyou !
Nailed it man, thank you 🤙
Good one
Well don, sir! Thank you for the tutorial.

Thank you very much!
How many strings are being strummed for the F chord?
Depends on which ones you can block with your chording hand. I'll usually try to avoid the biggest string. The smallest one can sound nice
@@michaeladammusic thanks
Great job! Was this song one of their demos?
My understanding is that they wrote it for the 'Catching Fire' movie. Thanks!
I love this video. Very Helpful! However, what G chord are you playing in the beginning?
Thanks! The G is a little unusual. I play the small E string on the 3rd fret with my pinky, the A string on the 2nd fret with my middle finger, and the big E string on the 3rd fret with my ring(3rd) finger. Hope that helps!
😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks so much
Thanks
I can't see your right hand during the first riff -_____- am I supposed to know when to strum up or down during the hammer-ons?
Yeah, you're right. I'll be sure to show both sides on future videos. Thanks for the help!
this is awesome and also you're very cute (:
NOICE!!!!
thx bro ;)
suggestion: try to show your right hand instead of the wall
You're concerned about the video too much. We don't need to see your face, man. Just play it and pull crazy faces hahaha

Sorry for the trouble, keep trying on your own. Maybe check out some other covers to get a different perspective.
