Cleaning tip. Make sure you dry the sides and bottom of the insert THOROUGHLY!! You don't want water touching the electric components.

How do you clean the lid? It is not go in water right?

You can wet the lid - some put it in the dishwasher. It just collects moisture inside so I just wipe with a damp clean cloth and dry it.

I was trying my pot for the very first time. I did the water test. I waited 35 minutes and the timer never came on. The entire time it was releasing steam. I could not find anywhere in the booklet that told me if it was supposed to be releasing steam or not. My husband got nervous and made me stop the pressure cooking. Now I have no idea if it is working correctly or not! Help!
