David Larson or the guy who scored 70 actually had the better game to 34/44 while jack taylor shot 52/108 not to mention 27/71 from three no shade 52/108 is freaking amazing for that many shots I'm just saying

Spencer McLaughlin I don’t understand how you find the time to shoot the ball 108 times in one game you basically take the ball in bounds every single time never pass once and go straight down and shoot every single time. I would probably just walk off the court and go home if I was on his team not gonna lie.

MyEpicPhone I read up on this article about this game. They said that they were only paying to break this record. They were allowing the opponents to score open layups. That's why one guy got 70 something for the other team. And they were also intentionally fouling the other team to stop the shot clock and send them to free throw lines. No way anyone could score 100 against a decent defence playing a regular basketball game.
But this Jack Taylor guy looks he could shoot from the way he was draining it.

U're wrong man, not anybody can do that. Just do some maths, if you get a 50% FG from 108 shots admitting that all of them are 2pointers, it gives you 108 points, this dude just got 138...
He must be around the 50% with all the 3s he got.

willy wonka the only reason anyone should be taking 108 shots is if they literally cannot miss, he was 52 of 108, that's 48%, that's a good percentage if you take 15 shots in game, or 52 of 108 is good thru 10 games, but if you shoot 108 times in a game you better make at least 75 or 80 shots

Sure the defense wasn't great, but many of the people who are talking crap couldn't hit on those percentages in a shoot around. The physical exertion alone for the offense to run completely through one person has to be draining.

Jack, your interview was handled with total CLASS!
I loved that you gave 100% credit to your teammates... It's so true that this can ONLY be done as a TEAM EFFORT... Great teammates and what an AMAZING accomplishment!!!
It's hard to knock down those kind of numbers shooting on a Shoot-a-way Gun with no defense, but I saw that you were being doubled and triple teamed... JUST AMAZING!!!
I'm a Christian, so I LOVED it when you mentioned "Bible Devotional and Prayer" before the game!
I wish all the best for you!!!

I don't care how small he is, he showed if he's open, he can knock down the shots. You don't realize how many uncontested 3's are missed in both D1 ball and the NBA. He has the ability to make them. He's not going to be an all-star or MVP candidate, but he has some serious shooting skills. Making shots gets you paid in the NBA, because defense isn't much of a priority anymore.

Gotta say if Jack Taylor was tall enough, the 103 dislikes would have got dunked on. A lot of comments are saying the defense is garbage here. No way you can 1 on 1 this kid just study the film! I see instances where he is triple teamed and still MAKES THE PLAY. Eh maybe it is a division3 school-so it is not top notch like UCONN or others. That's why kids DO NOT go here mainly for the sports programs. Amazing feat anywhere, that's why it is THE RECORD. Is he a ballhog? I think not. If any of you out there have ever actually played on a team (instead of youtube comments) why would you not want the ball in your playmakers hands?? It's a W.

i played we scored 195 against the other team when we were in high school. Our guard played with about %39 fg 10 pts per game, we let him shot 100 times and he got 46 ppg %69 fg .He didn't score more than 60 points, but it is still gold that he came from %39 to %70 and 10 to 46.So i know that this is possible, somehow he is right. If you give 200 shots to a guy who plays basketball *every game*, 10 games later he will make that 100 as a score.Choose somebody walking in streets, he can break a record too.Maybe not in 10 games, but at the end of the season he *will* make this happen.

Boy, i'm talking about possibilites. It was 10 years ago. These are * "not" * the exact same numbers.Well, it can't be.He was shooting all day long in the game, of course we were shooting too. What did you expect? Yeah, we didn't *EXACTLY* let him shoot 100 times. But the ball had a player, that's what i can say for sure.It was on his hands, all game long. And even this is *NOT* the exact same thing, realize what would happen if we let him 100 shots a game.My point still stands, however.

    • @timw6174
      @timw6174 10 лет назад +3

Dzenan Kananovic Man you are dense, okay I am not trying to bash him. It was a great effort and all but for you to say he could out play NBA players is ludicrous. The guy stands at 5'10, just an inch taller than Nate Robinson. Average NBA player stands at 6'7. Jack Taylor isn't anywhere nearly as athletic as Nate Robinson so for him to get a shot off against players who are several inches taller is difficult. Also the 3 point line is much further in NBA than NCAA, a whole 3 feet! Considering he shot 24-48 from 3 with average defence, I highly doubt he would be able to replicate it in the NBA.
And as far as anyone having a performance like this Kobe's 81 points against Raptors, he didn't even play full 48 minutes of the game. He also was doubled team on several occasions unlike Jack Taylor for some reason the other team didn't care too much about slowing him down. Almost always slacked off him so he can get his shot off.
Kobe also had a crazy game against Dallas scoring 62 in 3 quarters. Who knows maybe Kobe could've broken Wilts 100 point effort in today's GAME.
So before you go praising this kid as a god Learn a fucking thing about basketball you dud.
