I agree, but what if the internet was discovered in the 70's or the 80's!? Every era has its sign. The late 90's and early 00's until now, and we talk ONLY 20+ yrs, the internet and phone technology had evolved something enormously! Only 20+ yrs!!!! Can u imagine that!? And I ask again: What if everything we use today was discovered 35-40 yrs ago? We were lucky that we lived in the time w/o internet and mobile phones! Todays generations are LOST! YES, technology and development are ok and important things, but...sometimes I shout: Bring back the 80's!!!
Bullshit. They would constantly compare him to Chamberlain instead of accepting him for who he is. Nowadays, there is an obsession with comparing today´s players with past greats which is just dumb and tiring.
When Mike played, all the youngsters saw a move that he did in a game, and would go to a local park or rec center and try like hell to emulate it in a pickup game. If anyone came close to making the same play, everybody would say, “Jordan!”
This is statistically the best performance ever made by an NBA Player (Remember that Points aren't the only thing that matters when it comes to performing in the Game of Basketball)

Fun fact there is a stat called "gamescore" it provides a rough measure of a player's performance/productivity in a single game. This is number one all time. Kobe 81 is second and James Harden's 60 point triple-double ranks third. Out of the top 100 gamescore in regular-season Jordan owns 17/100.

Lucas S You mean before? If you think LeBron was better than Jordan you’re a fucking moron. This debate has ended a while ago and Jordan of course won. The two are incomparable.
This is always going to be a million times more impressive than any 60 point game in today's nba. Today's game is just shooting 3's and not being able to play hard defense without the whistle being blown.
ppl who play good D like draymond get called bums nowadays. i think the modern game is intact, its rly just the fans, because how does a dude with 4 rings and a DPOY get called a bum?
Defense treated Mj the same because Michael Jordan infamously got all the whistles. He averaged 8.2 free throw attempts per game throughout his whole career. No SG other than James harden gets as much calls as Jordan. Defense is weaker because the 3 is more emphasized and as a result defense is a lot more spread out in the modern nba.

@Breakdown God bird ..magic. Jordan was drafted in 84
He played so well because he fought for every ball. He gave so much energy to this game.
MJ was just so relentless with pure power, speed and artistry…. It looks like what Love should be! Watching him was probably the greatest parts of life.
Jordan was underrated as a passer and a rebounder the reason why they picked up Rodman so that Michael didn't have to use so much energy at both ends. Also with Rodman it made the Bulls a more complete team.
០
They got Rodman to replace Horace Grant. Had nothing to do with Jordan's workload.
Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, Michael Johnson. If you have MJ for initials you're destined for greatness.
Mike Jones?
Magic Johnson
Mojo Jojo...
How about JM? :l
If we are talking about basketball , I'm only 5'7 and my shooting skills is not good enough. But if we are talking about other things like career. I'm a skilled Programmer. I doubt that I will be unsuccessful. :D
But man If I am tall like 6'4-6'8 I can compete with pro basket ball league in my country.
Dam! 18 rebounds an 7 assist to go with 69 points.
Dont forget the multiple blocks and steals he had in this game as well
The things MJ has done to Cleveland will never be forgotten...
The scary thing is that only 6 of the 69 were from 3.... Literally impossible in today's NBA.
Yeah..the height length athleticism and superior help defense and defensive schemes stop this type of basketball. That is why the game keeps moving further away from the rim...
+Theevilrhino Lmao.. You joking right.. You gotta be..
+SDS Overfiend no. I'm not.
+Theevilrhino Facts
That's true, but the league back then was also more physical, they were less athletic, but there was MUCH more contact.
The most underrated part is his offball game
no, that would be his playmaking
Agree
Off ball mj was workin
Offball defense too
@@rizwanakarizzy8771 his defense double teaming someone yes. offball would imply “help” defense which was illegal during most of the years MJ played
Also impressive is the efficiency of how he shot this game. A fg% of 62 and a ft% of 91 is just INSANE. And a little cherry on top were the 4 steals, 1 blocked shot, and only 2 turnovers.
69/18/6/4/1 on ultra efficiency is too fxcking good.
Yup. But on another note, you almost have to have an efficient night shooting the ball when you put up 60+ points.
What’s more crazy is that he went onto score 49 & 47 in next two games against NY & MIA.
it's really Michael Jordan then everybody else. once in a lifetime talent
He might be the best athlete ever considering all sports, not just the GOAT in basketball.
Michael Jordan's legacy will MAKE YOU WANT TO PLAY BASKETBALL!!
teewhaay yep
teewhaay only Magic Johnson is comparable to Jordan. Even then Jordan will be forever the goat... end of story
@@wrlddapredator22sensadeosu83 curry is the one closest to MJ...of course they are not comparable...MJ is on another planet..but the way curry changed the modern bball is comparable to him...
Ur damn right I fell In love with this game watching his old mixtapes.
@@fabiobianchi7268 I dont care about Curry but your right. *INCOMING BRONSEXUALS*
This performance is incredible to watch. It's 1990, he's been in the league for 6 years and this game is just a clear example of who the best is. You can tell, it's so clearly evident offensively and defensively, that he's the best player on the court. It's amazing. All those rebounds, some of them crucial, and steals.
watching old mj highlights makes me wish i was alive during the 90s because basketball was the best back then.
Imagine if back then the NBA had the same exposure as we know today, on days like that the Internet would brake we would only talk about MJ every day on every Internet side and on every show. MJ the GOAT
It was better this way without the overexposure of the modern internet and media. Sharing his latest feats via word of mouth from young fans that would grow up idolising Jordan, and older fans just awestruck that they were witnessing a once in a generation player. It was have been so much more special that way i feel not having infinite replays and highlights at the palm of your hand. Making you really anticipate with excitement everytime you see the man hit the court on your box CRT TV.
That mid range jumper of his was smooth as silk, perfect release and form
Highest gamescore in nba history. The best single game performance ever
When Mike played, all the youngsters saw a move that he did in a game, and would go to a local park or rec center and try like hell to emulate it in a pickup game. If anyone came close to making the same play, everybody would say, “Jordan!”
And then it became “Kobe!” Ain’t nobody trying to say “Lebron!”
Hahaha
@@LoveAllWomen because kids cant ever do what lebron can
that play at 1:17 was so smooth. No lag or indecision. Accurate, no wasted dribbles or movement, simple and beauty.
bruh he was so fluid moved like water
This is statistically the best performance ever made by an NBA Player (Remember that Points aren't the only thing that matters when it comes to performing in the Game of Basketball)
Guard Michael Jordan played 15 seasons for the Bulls and Wizards. Jordan's career averages were 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in 1,072 regular season games...seems like mj could not carry wilt's...
Wilt couldn't adapt his game when needed. That's why not many rings.
With your logic 54 points 33rebounds 14 assists 24 blks and 11 steaks sounds somewhat better doesn't it
@@deant3980 did he not adapt his game to lead the league in assist one year to help his team out
@@deant3980 more like he could score on everyone who was a regular player but as soon as he met someone as good as him (Russel) He gets slowed down and can’t carry the team by himself anymore, and since wilt always had worse teams he would lose. All cause the paper said Elo was gunna guard Jordan and shut him down so he did that just to show them nobody can guard him lmao ! What a boss !!

"..So I took that personal"
~MJ
The greatest to ever pick up a basketball!! He’s way the league alive today on both sides of the ball! He doesn’t need the ball all the time, he doesn’t need 50 screens a game, he doesn’t need to shoot 15 3’s a night & his scoring comes within the flow of the offense unlike players like LeGM, Curry or even Kobe for that matter…
He doesn't need most of those things because he's being guarded by plumbers and janitors. Bums lol. The league grew exponentially since the 90s.

Sir Jordan was just wired differently. He could do it all. And which such finesse and style. The NBA back then was so much more tougher and fun to watch then the modern era. What an absolute legend and GOAT of the basketball.

MJ was like a cheat code in a video game. He could do everything better than anyone.
Lol great observation!!
69 PTS, 18 REB, 6 AST, 4 STL, 1 BLK, 72.3 TS% 🔥
goat of his time, maybe all time, i just dont like comparing different periods because the style of basketball was completely different.
like if lebron went to jordan's time and jordan to lebron things would be completely different eh.
You can tell he just LOVED playing
Fun fact there is a stat called "gamescore" it provides a rough measure of a player's performance/productivity in a single game. This is number one all time.
Kobe 81 is second and
James Harden's 60 point triple-double ranks third.
Out of the top 100 gamescore in regular-season Jordan owns 17/100.
"All time", meaning after the 1983-84 season. Karl Malone's 61-point game ranks third over Harden's.
That’s crazy when you think about how many players have come through this league and how many games, that one guy can damn near own a quarter of the best games ever player …….. that’s nuts
18 rebounds 😷
I love that these iconic moments are recorded.
This is why they created the Jordan rules. MJ was that good. GOAT!
Holy fuck, 69/18/7 stat line 😨 that's insane
mj is the best please dont compare other players
and people keep bragging about Kobe 81pts mj could've easily gotten that to if never passed
+Ridhwaan (R.A Official) to be fair kobe didn't go to overtime. MJ would've had to have scored another 20pts by end of the fourth.
+Jake Maphosa all that means is Kobe shot more in less time..think about it
+Ridhwaan (R.A Official) Kobe still scored 81 regardless. They shot about the same.... MJ 62% Kobe 61% .. Both were historic games.
So fun to watch. Looks like basketball is too easy for him. Definitely the GOAT.
Jonathan Bradd Omega yer right after lebron
Jerico Yu no u

@@lucass8317 lol kiddo lebron is not even close to MJ and Kobe mark that
NOT EVEN CLOSE
This is always going to be a million times more impressive than any 60 point game in today's nba. Today's game is just shooting 3's and not being able to play hard defense without the whistle being blown.
ppl who play good D like draymond get called bums nowadays. i think the modern game is intact, its rly just the fans, because how does a dude with 4 rings and a DPOY get called a bum?
How? Just look at that Cavs team he is playing against lmfao bunch of nobody beside Larry Nance, not one superstar or allstar
@@someonelivescashmj dick riders thats what lol
Defense treated Mj the same because Michael Jordan infamously got all the whistles. He averaged 8.2 free throw attempts per game throughout his whole career. No SG other than James harden gets as much calls as Jordan.
Defense is weaker because the 3 is more emphasized and as a result defense is a lot more spread out in the modern nba.
@@QuadLamb Defense back then actually fouled him, and hard. He wasn't flopping like the majority of players these days.

LeBron would have 18 rebounds in a game but a highlight scoring would be 30 points and Kobe would just have the 69 points with little assists and rebounds .
They only played one one one defense in the 1980's and 1990's there was double team Jordan and still scored he would average 34 points , 10 rebounds , 7 assists per game if he played in this time
Lbj in his prime would not put only 30, you are very foolish or you havent seen him play or both of them
