You're a big hero of mine Tom! I respect your vast knowledge and expertise and appreciate all your teaching, especially on the Outdoor Channel and G&A show/magazine! I just purchased an SLH7.62TI-QD in FDE from Sig (my 6th Sig Sauer suppressor and number 11 overall), now I just have to wait for at least 5 months until I can get it. I love Sig products and if you endorse them, then I know I've made the right choice! It goes without saying that you're awesome!
Excellent video brother. Have a Rattler in .566 and ended up grabbing a .300 blackout barrel. Am currently looking to get an SLH to do some range and tactical training and feel like suppressed would benefit the amount and length of training and also be able to understand range, recoil, and other characteristics as a result of running the gun suppressed while working. Great work and only thing better than a Rattler will be a suppressed Rattler👍
I really like what they did with the handguard on the mcx you were shooting. Looks like there doing another gen of mcx with that different lightening cut on the upper receiver
Very informative video. Much better than the cryptic pages on SIG's websites. SLX = low toxicity, SLH = Hybrid (with traditional baffles and some pass-through designs around the annular part of the can). Got it. Question: Would the SLH-QD work on the 5.56 Clutch-Lok flash hiders? In other words, would the SLH 762-QD work on the MCX Spear LT 5.56 with the factory Clutch-Lok flash hider?
How do these suppressors perform with the Rattler or the 6.75 tacops in 300BLK? I'm looking to run a suppressor but do not want to deal with a whole lot of gas to the face.
I'd recommend using the SLH; it's a hybrid suppressor designed specifically to work with the 300BLK and offers just the right amount of blowback to reliably operate both of the guns you mentioned.
Fantastic Video. I eat a lot of crayons so this is exactly my speed (purple is my favorite) I am looking for the lowest flash signature possible for a 7.62NATO DMR (Sig 716i) Would I be correct in assuming the SLH would be better than SLX? Is there a better suppressor for ultimate flash suppression than Sig Series?
Most sealed centerfire rifle cans can go 30-60K rounds without cleaning depending on weapon host and ammo. If you somehow hit that round count contact Sig, they should be able to 3D print a whole new baffle stack onto your serialized collar.
@plattner01, you are correct sir. Centerfire rifle cans from reputable companies, when used with quality ammunition will outlast numerous barrels. At some point you'll notice an increase in weight, but the suppressor will continue to do it's job. The only cans I recommend cleaning are .22LR rimfire.
Why would you talk over the shooting parts of the video so you can't hear the suppressor performance? Nobody wants to hear you, they want to hear the suppressor while you shoot it.
*Talks about fireballs coming out the front and how sig fixed it.* And then a clip of the suppressor on the front clearly showing flash...this is why the surefire socom suppressors reign Supreme
Hi @Bradley Perkins, I lit this shot to offer the utmost in transparency. Good eyes, but with the lights turned out, the most flash we observed was comparable to a sushi stick. The flash suppression was very similar to SureFire's excellent SOCOM suppressors, of which, I am also a fan of.
SIG is on a ROLL! Great M7 battle rifle, great M250 medium MG, both with this excellent suppressor with a complex, effective "printed" baffle design. ->And then there is SIG's "Level Plex" illuminated horizontal reticle end triangles that light up when the rifle it tilted left or right, Also SIG/SAUER has a civilian rifle scope with a BLUETOOTH receiver that will light the proper vertical hold dot WHEN THE SIG RANGE FINDER BINOCULARS ARE USED. Naturally they must be programmed to your specific load ballistics. The scope reticle is SECOND focal plane to utilize the BLUETOOTHed rangefinder but hey. it's for hunting, not target use.
What a great video very well on the detailed . And very specific on each item. And very well spoken on the Intel. I appreciate it so much thank you and if next time you can put the price range on each one that would be good. One love and God bless. All my brothers and sisters of all nationalities. And all over the world 🌎 freedom 🇺🇸💞💜💖🙏👼🦾🏆💪🤼⚖️🧘🌎🇺🇸✌️🤟🏹👍😇💓❤️💕
2:53, Hold up!!! I need some info on that new hand guard design. Love it!!!
RIGHT!!
Good eyes!
@@speedloads2469 Where do I find that handguard?
Yeah I really wanna know what's up with this handguard. I'm guessing this was sent for him to test. I'd get one for my Virtus in a heart beat.
I thought this was a Sig promotional video at first, great video!

Great description, thanks!
Thanks for the info!

Great video, thanks for breaking down the minor differences so clearly
Great stuff 👍
Thanks 👍

Yes the clutch lock flash hiders have the same diameter for lock up on 30 cal or 5.56 cans.
The new gen MCX
Good eyes
Will the Slx accept keymo adapters?

I have a regular old school sig can on my sig rattler 300 blackout.....nothing comes out of the ejection port that I can tell.
Hell yes... hopefully this fits my old school SIG556... which eats 5.56 NATO.
How do they compare to HUXWRX (OSS)?
I'd also like to know.
Nice work
Thank you very much @Tyson Rowe, I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
@@speedloads2469 you're welcome sir.
diameter of these cans look very slim i thought the whole idea was to have big quiet can like the older versions

I thought you died a couple of weeks ago.
@@rappmasterdugg6825 Gotta spend that life insurance money. ;)
just picked up the 716i great rifle.
@Robert Dole, yes sir, you are correct, the SLH is the SIG suppressor you seek for the role described.

What optic mount are you running on that holosun
Has Sig said if the 7.62 QD cans will be backwards compatible with the 5.56 muzzle devices? I’d like to buy a single 7.62 can to run on both rifles
@Rico Roca, unfortunately, due to the way the Clutch-Lok system works, they are not backwards compatible.
I also wish they were backwards compatible.
New generation MCX when? That handguard was a dead giveaway lol.
im guessing that these cans are not able to be taken apart and cleaned?
Ultrasound cleaning I guess
Don't need to be

@Jordan Piazza, you're spot on sir, thanks for taking the time to drop some good knowledge
Great video.
Do you happen to know if the direct thread SLH will interface with SIG’s tapered barrel shoulder?
Yes
How is cleaning and maintenance on it??
Why would you talk over the shooting parts of the video so you can't hear the suppressor performance? Nobody wants to hear you, they want to hear the suppressor while you shoot it.
Nice!
@Albert Tran, thank you sir!
what handguard is on that virtus ??
Gen 3 mcx Handguard we won’t see it for years my guess bro
A trick new MCX hand guard, stay tuned for more on that guy
@@speedloads2469 You know how much longer of a wait we'll need? Any chance this is a Gen 3 MCX? Will you guys have a video on it?
Do you know if any Special Forces units are using the MCX design?
CAG and an air force unit as far as I know.
Yes, there are units that are using variants of the platform
NSW is running the SIG MCX Rattler in 300 Black.
Side by side comparison to the OSS ??
Check PewScience, he will be posting results of the Sig Silencers soon. He has a few OSS can results to look at already.
No signature out the front yet you show a video with flames bursting out the supressor. Paid advertising?
He's at the Sig Sauer Academy, what do you expect.

Vaporware - haven't seen a single one available for civilian sale yet. They were announced what - a year ago??
My local shop had several on the shelf
They were officially released about 4 months ago. All of my distributors have them available.
Correct, they are out there, I've seen them at the retail point as well.

personally, for 300 aac, id rather build my own titanium form 1, and shoot it out, and then build another one, for the same price.
Tell Ron to stop grifting off of SIG!
