I have the PRD 8400. I added two anchor rings in the front that connect to a chain hoist, and bring the mower to a total vertical position. That makes it very easy to change blades, and clean the underside.
Great review, Tyson! We shared the link with our Engineer and Tech Service experts. Per the cracked shield tabs, our VP of Engineering wonders if your machine is vibrating excessively. He suggested putting a quarter on the top of shield and run the PTO at 540 RPMs. If the quarter is moving around, you probably need to balance or replace your blades. It sounds like you replace your blades regularly, so perhaps it's a balance issue. Would love to know if you are able to try this. Thanks for the insightful review!
Why would you change the quick change style of the rm990 to a brush hog style??? All I have is Woods rm990-3 mowers and will be buying all the used ones I can find they are a tank of a mower. Huge fan of Woods
