Now this is what I’ve been waiting for! I love seeing videos in this format and have been waiting for someone to it in a Ninjago format. Especially for my GOAT Cinder the Menace.
SpinjitsumasterGOAT???? 'tis an honor 🙇🏾♂️ It's a little difficult with work and all but I'll be trying to get these videos out weekly. Maybe even in time for part two release. (Cope)
2:10 Lloyd probably was just wanting to use that grapple hook as much as they could before it got inconvenient and they used spinjitsu instead or somethin
@@TheEntomophobic yes and in the series explication is that it uses dark magic and can corrupt the user, I wonder why they didn’t said it the the series a lot of people probably doesn’t know this
To be fair, evil has always been implied to give you more power in some way in the Ninjago universe (usually connected to some ancient art/artifact). Be it Overlord's corruption, the Forbidden Spinjitzu scrolls, the entirety of Emperor Garmadon, the buffs the CC got from CK after submitting to him or be it the Oni. It's also usually implied to be an apparently easier trip than following the path of good but it takes from you in the long run (example: during the Oni trillogy when Lloyd gets his hands on the mask of hatred and Mystake goes up to say to him "nuh-uh"). I think the only time they didn't imply consequences to using the dark arts whas unsurprisingly during Crystalized, normally seen as Ninjago's worst season, where they actively try to convince Lloyd to go after said easy powers of darkness who feeds on your uncontained rage instead of trying to follow the other route. Edit: Under that optic, the Oni itself aren't inherently evil. We've seen many times how the Oni can stray from the paths taught to them by their society and turn around a new leaf (Mystake, Garmadon and even FSM himself). Although destruction is definetly connected to the darker spectrum of the elemental tree it doesn't mean it's a bad thing at it's core. How evil something is pretty much depends on how you use it (How Emperor Garmadon used creation to destroy, per example), wich is why Lloyd using it to go againts CK and prevent what would be the ruin of Ninjago as we know it could be an explanation to why there were no consequences to it.
Yeah, I think you're right. My problem with "evil power" is that it doesn't actually make you evil. You just work for someone and get a power boost. Like the wolf guys have no personality so when they get the shattering boost they just get stronger and that's it. For the CK his subordinates just got stronger idk if that was the overlords power or the crystal or what. Because sometimes evil power DOES make you evil and stronger. Like in season two where Nya got hit with the dark matter stuff and she could fight multiple of the ninja. Also in season eight, specifically the mask of hatred made you eviler I guess and they got the power of the mask. I don't know if their saying being evil is tied to strength, or if evil IS a strength. I did like the thematic element of change and how Garmadon was bitten with "pure evil" and still turned good. And Lloyd using his oni form which is rage and supposedly evil to defeat the overlord. But I'm wondering how these wolf people are stronger than the average stone warrior or crystal soldier. Maybe they are and the Ninja can't use their theme song plot armor this time. What I'm saying is if they're gonna use the "evil power" thing again, I want to see it used in a more interesting way. But maybe I'm just not there yet, who knows.
As someone who really like DR, I have this episode as the same score as you. It was genuinely boring for me until the Cloud Kingdom fight. Luckily stuff picks up from episode 3 and every episode is really good imo. EPisode 6 is prolly the only one i thing is ok at best. Very good vid.
Finally someone notices that Ras was spamming M1 on that gong even though at the cloud kingdom flashback he starts yapping about the dangers of using it too much. What was bro ON?
2:21 At the shop the ninja needed to be stealthy but they didnt have enough room for spinjutsu but in cloud Kingdom the ninja needed to be stealthy but they did have enough room for spinjutsu
I don't think the forbidden 5 are too dangerous if you know rising dragon and you are an elemental master. The only problem with them is putting them in a prison that will hold them. Thats the only reason they are so "dangerous"
Episode 10 was when Kai got his get back on Cinder.
Too bad he got a giant hammer thrown at him.

I really appreciate the kind words. But I know I could do better.
Btw the city in the clouds is called Could Kingdom

the guy who they ask about the gong is not a snake its he is a Merlopians from ninjago seabound
You're honestly so real for that. I just called them water serpentine so I guess that's why I called him a snake 😂

I'm sorry but Cinder reminds me of season 3-7 villain from the og series, NO IDEA WHY. Same vibe tho
Cinder reminds me of the Elemental Master Ash.

If you like Ninjago, yeah.
This is exactly why ninjago isnt ninjago after season 15. Rising dragons will never be canon to the show bc its not the same writers anymore
