Ons Jabeur matches are arguably the most entertaining on the WTA tour. We can see all kinds of shots in every game (drop shots, backhand and forehand slices, backhand and forehand topspin, lobs, twiners). Add to that her likeable personality (and no grunting) and you have the complete tennis show!
That was beautiful tennis from two great players with diverse games. Jabeur is my new favorite to watch. The WTA is in good hands.
Ons and Iga are my 2 top WTA players at the moment. Can't wait to see them play against each other.
When Jabeur plays like that you wonder why she’s not world No.1. It’s all the mental game, of course. Focus and consistency. She doesn’t always have it. But I’ve got a feeling she’s going all the way this time.

As I remember, 1GA has never beaten Ans yet.
Its not a mental thing. For me she is the most talented player, but she is not fitness enough. If the matches lasted 1 set, she probably would be number 1.But against really strong players physically, with a good serve and who can return a lot of balls (like sakkari, iga, coco, paula, naomi) she often run out of gas, especially in slow conditions.
@@michawu4401 they met in Wimbledon last year and Ons won. Sorry but if Ons keeps the hard work I dont think that Iga will stay that long as no.1.it depends only on how Ons will play in the next tournaments and how mentally strong she is .
Incredible level from Ons. One may wonder why such talent hasn’t won big trophies yet but I hope that changes good luck 🤗

When Ons plays like this she's out of this world. She and Andreescu take the ball so early. But in other matches she seems out of steam. If she can maintain this level of play and beef up her serve a bit like Barty did she'd be the most interesting WTA player to watch by far.
What Ons has been lacking in the past few years is CONFIDENCE and bit of experience.. all the downs and lost finals has brought out a self confident beast that's always striving for victory! Absolutely pure class, and hoping to see her in the final match because she deserves a trophy for this tremendous performance .

Simona has given such a nice exchange at net to Ons despite losing. Yes, Simona is usually gracious in loss but doesn't spend so much time congratulating opponents. Looks like everyone loves Ons Jabeur.

I liked her so much today for her smile at the net after losing and actually walking away with smile after expressing admiration. 👍👍please work on your grunting. U can’t hear the commentators if u put it on mute and can’t tolerate with volume on.

Ons is unparalleled in the WTA when it comes to variety and improvisation and Halep tends to fade away in a match if she doesn't know what to do, So this result makes sense but it's still a little surprising. Ons keeping the top 10 respect alive at Madrid lol

Ons has one of the best drop shots in the women's game and after Barty, her slice is also up there. If she can improve her 1st serve consistency, she can definitely get into top 5 soon. Very fun to watch her play.

ONS is a joy to watch. You can't pull those drop shots off against top player like halep unless you feel supremely confident with your game . I think ONS believe herself now that she can beat anyone. I feel she is ready to win grandslams now .
Perfect tactics from Jabeur. She knows incredibly well how to vary the shots and constantly change the pace of the game. She didn't allow Simona to keep hitting from the baseline, which's her comfort zone.

Simona, la vârsta la care a ajuns în acest moment 30 de ani, nu a ieșit din top 30 și a stat aproape 7 ani în top 10... nicio altă jucătoare din circuitul actual nu a mai reușit o astfel de performanță! Simona a făcut un tenis frumos la acest turneu, dar n-a fost ziua ei în meciul cu Ons! La cât mai multe titluri în continuare! 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻💯

6:13 such an easy point completely missed by Jabeur! Knowing her mental weaknesses, I expected her to lose the next 4 games in a row, especially against a player she always lost to... but she stayed focused and continued destroying Halep with no mercy. Definitely she's improving not only her fitness but also her mental strength

Ons is one clever player whose weapons range from strong groundstrokes and drop shots. Simona cannot figure her out. Beating a two time champ must be a great feeling for Ons at this stage of the tournament. If she maintains this kind of play, she may win the title. Pretty sure, she can beat the likes of Teichmann, Kalinina who are also doing very well.

Halep is not an easy opponent. Jabuer is the epitome of baseline player. Great patience, anticipation, power, and precision. Add a little of finesse with the drop shots. She's a joy to watch. Would love to see her in the finals.,

terrific performance by onz. I was afraid of that drop shot almost costing her so much and being the turn point for halep but solid and consistency level by onz managed to get through that mistake and stayed ahead. she deserved the win great shots great serves congrats onz.

Halep is gorgeus woman, but she is already too old to continue play professional tennis. It is quite impossible for her win grand slams. She is in the same package as Azarenka, Muguruza and the beautiful german, Angelique Kerber, all of them must be retired from the tennis world, no doubt about it.

Amazing win for Ons! She found Halep's kryptonite: the dropshot. Her disguise on it is so clever, Halep never saw it coming and even with her speed she couldn't run it down because the execution was so good. Thrilled for Ons!!

This was an interesting match. I thought Halep would take it the way she played in the beginning. Ons relaxed and started making all her shots, she played the drop shot very well against Halep today and she used her slice effectively.
