I love the tip of adding a thin amount of blue underneath the first cloud and blending it to create contrast! Absolute game changer thank you very much much 🎉🎉🎉
My white paint is Winsor Newton, but, regardless how light my touch is, everytime i touch the canvas a big chunk/smudge of paint fall off at once. Thanks for all your work.
Dude, wow, what a super thorough and fantastic tutorial video for this stunningly beautiful mountain painting. Truly amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed watching. Thank you so much for sharing your art, vault of knowledge, and experience!!! Have a great week ahead, Wild! Cheers,
Beautiful painting! I have a cabin in the mountains in Norway. This reminds me of this. What about some clouds in the bottom so that the mountain climbs up above them?
Love this wild! (Sad team purple sounds haha) Been a few years since I last painted but your tutorials make me excited to paint again 😁 Keep up the amazing work!
I recently did your Phase 1 mountain and I'm thinking of trying this Phase 2 painting soon. I used a 12"x16" canvas for the first one and probably should have used something bigger. What size are you using, 16"x20"? BTW, even though you decided not to put the distant birds in this one, a tutorial on how to add birds in flight to a painting would be great. Mine look like identical flying m's.
I always have issues with my mountains. I don't use gesso or any other additives to the paint but water. I used plain white for this one on the knife but i still feel like I'm getting too much paint all over the mountains and its so frustrating its almost making me want to just use my brushes for them. What am I doing wrong?
I WANTED THE SOHO ONE BUT WHEN I SAW THE MEDEEN I WAS LIKE OOOHHH NOOO I HAVE TO GET THAT ONE I FOLLOWED YOUR ADVICE FROM THE VIDEO ON HOW TO GET YOUR EASEL FROM YOUR CHANNEL IM STILL LOOKING FOR A SCHOOL HERE IN NY WHERE I CAN START LEARNING HOW TO PAINT WET ON WET LIKE BOB ROSS AND YOU THIERS HAS TO BE A SCHOOL HERE SOMEWHERE IN NY WHERE THEY TEACH THAT SO THANKS FOR THE ADVICE ON THE EASELS 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
@@WildCreates thank you sir... Now I started trying to follow this painting yesterday and totally forgot to leave the white spot for that light source. Can I paint white gesso there to have that light source or do I have to start again on a new canvas
If you are painting with oil - You can't paint Gesso on top of it. You can add a little Titanium Whit though and blending it in softly and that will work in a pinch. Send me a pic when you are all done.
@@WildCreates I haven't put the oil paint on yet. I just put all of the black gesso and realized I forgot to leave the white spot on it. So theoretically if it's just dried black gesso I could put white just so over it or do you still recommend I just go with the thin coat of liquid clear and then the titanium White?
What brushes would you recommend if Bob Ross is not available? I’ve always loved his style but don’t want to support the people who own his brand now so I’d rather buy brushes elsewhere.

You can easily add clouds to to the base - makes it look like the mountains are piercing right out of them... Makes for a cool look.
Love this wild!

This painting is more vibrant than that new Apex Legends map! Only thing I could think to add would be some trees. Thanks for the video!
ha ha ha hell ya buddy
You asked what colours we’d like to see. I’d like to aee a mix of orange and pink. I love these colours in a Snowy environment.
Oh i like that... soft pink in the middle fading into orange maybe.

Any plans on uploading the purple version? It looked amazing. Love to see the process.
I can see about doing that for you - Give me a little bit of time

Ok my friendly. Message sent. Greatly appreciate it.
Beautifully done. If I could recommend another topic on the subject of mountains, how about a mountain range with an alpenglow? Can’t wait for more 😊
Love the suggestion - I will add it to the list :)

I also use 16x20 canvas.
I will add birds to an upcoming video for ya - so smash that SUB button 🔥
@@WildCreates I've been subscribed since I decided to start painting earlier this year.
Thank you for that Sub Love
Indigo color and possibly add a tree line
Oh 10000% yes. This is just a guide, feel free to add to it and build on it. If you do end up painting it I would love to see what you make.
This is beautiful but how do you paint this long in gloves without having sweat drip out of the bottom? My hands sweat in gloves like crazy!
I haven't had an issue with that yet butt they do make a cream to help with hand sweat... might wanna try it out.
Also, how many 1 inch and 2 inch brushes do you have?????
In this tutorial I only use 1 of each and clean in-between. BUT I do own a lot of brushes because I also teach painting

If you go the BR website. They list instructors in your area that teach. Start there.
Do you use an oil based Gesso?
Water based - You can see all the supplies and tools I use in the video description.
Try pinks, orange, purple.??
You are the 2nd person to suggest pink and orange, I might have to do that 🔥
Hold on... So we dont put liquid clear on the black part before the blue???
Black gesso - Let it dry. Then add a thin coat of LC. Then paint blue on top of it.

Oh then just add a little bit of white gesso or white acrylic in that spot and let it dry - Then you will be good to go.
Dixonian purple or say Indian yellow
both good colors
