I just saw this. But as others have said, you are suppose to do this with the burners off after the grates have heated to 400. Therefore, any rolled up cotton (not microfiber or polyester) small towel that you can get a pack of 10 for about $10, along with a pair of tongs to hold it will do about the same job for a lot less money! If fact I have often taken hand towels (old coot ones, not the ones we use for kitchen towels!), got them wet and then payed them over the hot grates after cooking (and the grilled turned off). Then close the lid, go eat dinner and come back afterwards and easily clean the grates! Cheap and effective!
It would have been great if you would have zoomed in and did a close up/pan over the grill grates after cleaning so we could see the results. Also, I can't think of a situation where my grill brush would be left on the driveway and accidentally get run over by my car. I was actually hoping you were going to show what the brush head looked like after putting it in the dish washer. You seemed pleased with it, but this wasn't enough for me to purchase it at that price point.

Thank you for showing the brush head after it was put through the dishwasher. I'm a clean freak and was curious about this. I just purchased a new grill and decided to invest in the Grill Rescue as well. I grill 4-5X per week so this brush will get used quite a bit.
I've had one of these for 3 years. I like it. I replace the head every summer. I guess it all depends how much you grill as to when you need to replace it. I grill once a week on average.
This is really the only way to clean your grates. I heard a story one time of a guy here locally that got a metal bristle stuck in his bowels. Did some damage!
Luckily I caught one on the food on my plate the other day before I ate it!!! My husband vowed never to use a metal bristle brush again!! Hence why I'm looking into this!
@@burningkarma my brother is a pediatrician and he’s had MANY kids with perforated bowels because of metal wire brushes from scraping grills. He said NEVER use them.

Right off the hop 60 bucks seems like a steep price tag when you first see it, (I recoiled a little in sticker shock, personally) but when you think about how much we all wish our regular grill brush would clean ANYTHING... and how many we've bought over the years - hoping 'maybe THIS one will work better'... Maybe $60 isn't such a bad price after all. Right away you addressed my primary concern - reusability. Dishwasher safe Kevlar and foam. 👍 Haven't seen more than a minute yet, but I'm curious to see how the lifespan is on one of those pads. I think at almost $20/replacement head - if they're good for a summer or two that's probably enough for me. Curious to see how it goes though, cuz I bet these clean SOOO much better than my normal bbq brush I've been using for years.

FWIW : I wonder if you could just take an old rag and soak it, put it over top of your normal old grill cleaning brush with the bristles n do the same thing. Maybe save 60 bucks. Then you can just chuck the rag if it gets too nasty. I can't see it burning if it's soaked. You've given me a great idea Jeff. Thank you! I'm BBQing tonight, I'll have to try it. 👍
lol. This material is non-flammable. I'm sure if the cloth you use is non-flammable and wet you should be good to go. Also, don't forget to wear your protective glove - just in case. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

So how did you clean between the grates or the cling-ones on the bottom side with this brush. I spent the $$ and I’m not impressed. Had to turn the grates over and it still was lacking. Not even talking the cost in pellets to heat to 400 multiple times..
Got mine today and it seems to work pretty good. One suggestion about this video. You never show how to remove the cleaning "head gear" and there was no user instructions in the box it was delivered in. At 4:06 in the video you say, "Now we're going to let the head gear cool down and we're going to take it off....." but you cut away just before you do it. C'mon Man! BTW, I finally figured out you press, not pull, those two side tabs to release "head gear". Again, would have been nice of you to show that in your video.
I think this is a way better concept way better than that metal brush like you said that stuff sticks to your grill and then gets into your food I seen another person reviewing this on the internet and I liked it I'm trying to see if I can find it at the local store in town
hard to believe those grill brushes with the protruding steel blade sticking out 1-2 inches from top, ever make it out of testing phase. How ever long that blade is, is how wide of an area on edge that you can never clean with the brush side..... duh. And before you say just turn it, any rectangular small to medium size grill, you cant get those long handled brushes to turn inside the grill area.

They are pretty convenient. I'd recommend getting replacement heads as you don't get more than one season of use (in my experience)

Hey Jeff what charge faster at tablet or a smartphone my Amazon fire tablet does charge quick in 2 hours I think your phone does charge faster
when it comes to fast charging a lot depends on the device, cable, and charger.

There's a grooved tab on either side of the head you need to push in. I had to use a screwdriver to press it in.
