    While the likes of Pushkar, Oleg, Denis, or Levan train in modern facilities/gyms, Devon literally trains in his basement. Mr Brzenk used to do the same, and prime Voevoda's basement trainings are legendary. It's interesting to see how all these awesome athletes have different approaches to training.

    The variation of dumbbells is extremely useful for a small person like me ruclips.net/user/postUgkxP26Tir6n60vUkdtn4mbwhRO8cwuJQNy2 But the dumbbell size being large it's hard to do certain exercises like deadlift ( I have to have my hands and legs a bit wider to accommodate the size of the DB )Otherwise happy with the purchase. No excuse not to lift weight when it's snowing outside.

    I believe there is a lot in the field of biceps development that exercise science hasn't figured out yet. I'm a very similar build to Devon (tall strong ectomorph), and always had trouble building big biceps. But when I stepped up my grip and forearm training following his routines, my biceps started getting bigger as well. It doesn't make sense on paper, but it works.

    • @robloxvids2233
      @robloxvids2233 Год назад +3

      Forearm work is underrated. Almost nobody at the gym isolates forearm work. The cool think about forearms is there are a lot of muscles in there so if you isolate them from all angles you will see results fast. And it doesn't take much to really hit them hard. They will be burning quickly. The other good thing is they recover quickly so you can work them everyday. And there are a ton of ways to work them with a barbell and just a little weight. Grippers are good, too, but yes they are not comfortable.

    • @M1tjakaramazov

    Hi Devon! Thank you for your thoughts and videos. I'm never into armwrestling, but i always find interesting to hear your thoughts from the first time when i saw a video from one of your coaching sessions here on youtube. So i just wonder around here, but i'm curious so i think i ask you like what are the typical rep ranges are you use in these exercises (like 1 - 100 or even more sometimes) also I wanna ask are you do these sets every time or most of the time to failure or sometimes have easier sets, days? How much time do you typically rest between sets, exercises if you do more than one?

    Something to note, Devon focuses on finger strength when talking about the grip while Travis preaches working your grip inside and not at the finger level.

    • @yeetspageet5679
      @yeetspageet5679 5 лет назад +6

      Well you'd be more inclined to listen to travis since he has a better top roll than devon but it's all about styles I imagine. I also imagine having strong fingers is going to stop you get opened up so easily.

    good one, about the gripers.... and i would say ... they are not so good for the wrist bones.... could be damage practicing in wrong angles ...

    • @ChurchOfThought
      @ChurchOfThought 5 лет назад +3

      never thought about it before but they probably cut off a lot of circulation too. i dont think theres any other muscle we work by sticking a spring between two limbs of the same muscle? itd be like working biceps by wedging a friggin accordion in your wenis (part of arm opposite the elbow.)

    • @stunnyhr
      @stunnyhr 5 лет назад +2

      Hands have a different function than a bicep so that comparison is flawed and yes grippers do improve grip

    • @Cesar-bb4rx
      @Cesar-bb4rx 5 лет назад +1

      And yes caution with it . Not everyone will do it the best way ... there are many bones in the wrist and nerves ... applying muscle pressure plus getting the compacting press as a stopper using a gripper ... could be risky....

    • @Jonse70
      @Jonse70 5 лет назад

      On the other hand, there is adaption, and the amount of stress your hand can take, greatly increases, and it has to....
      None of these exercises will be as straining to hand/wrist, as fighting Denis will... soo.. that’s my take on it.
