Maybe a fix to hemp being so rough is mixing it with bamboo for softness. I kinda wanna let the use of cotton die out personally. Too much trauma behind the crop in America, the last thing I would want in my farm is people picking cotton, and if i did they would be the highest paid
I don't think cotton is all bad especially organic cotton. However, I agree we should reduce the amount of cotton that is produced. Making our cotton products last longer and choosing for reusable options instead of disposable cotton (like in face rounds or tampons) would be a great start.
Yes, not all pesticides are the same. There are many natural pesticides available. These are usually plant-derived (soap nuts are an example of this). Pesticide use is strictly controlled in organic farming but this doesn't mean it is not allowed. Pesticides are used often to avoid crop loss.
Because I got many comments about other natural materials, I made a new video with over 40 different natural materials: ruclips.net/video/MIonFlsscnY/видео.html
Denim was originally made with hemp-- very comfortable. It was developed in Nimes, France, hence the name De Nimes (from Nimes).
Think the future of textiles lies in hemp, bamboo, and mushroom leather.
Cool video I learned a lot

…You do realize the atrocities commit over bamboo are even worse?
Don’t blame the cotton, blame the slavers.
