As he was watching you at the end he looked like, “see I can bend my neck without moving my feet.” It will be really educational to see you work with him to be more flexible. Can’t wait to see how he figures it out and how it changes how he moves. Also, natural horsemanship does have a lot of people using gimmicks that can get horses and people in trouble but, it beats the absolutely brutal way many horses were treated in the past and are still to this day. Hopefully, sites like yours can open peoples eyes to there is an easier way than domination and abuse to get a horse to do what a human wants.
He's a really nice boy. For some reason, I can always recognize an Arabian by their lower legs and feet. Weird, I know . Ziggy has a really nice set of clean legs and being an Arabian, his age is barely out of his prime!. He is smart too. You made a very good choice to buy him. I'm looking forward to watching his progress. (I'm sure you were happy to have a reason to buy another saddle too. LOL.)

The grey Arabian mare my sister had was very smart and sensitive, which I believe are traits of all Arabians if they are treated right. Your horse appears to be calm and easy, which I find to be unusual in a horse with his history! So many riding stables rent out horses to just anybody, many who cannot ride and "saw away" at the bits until the horses mouths become hard with scar tissue! I hope Ziggy doesn't have much of that, because he is so kind, but if he does, "it is what it is", and will have to be dealt with in your own gentle way.
I am new to learning to ride and I would love it if you would show a video on HOW to ride a horse and on doing some training groundwork for horses who have not been ridden in a good while. Thanks, Love your videos!!
Honestly without knowing the horse I probably wouldn't be much help. I do not have a one size fits all approach, you really need to take the horse and also rider into consideration for either of those things.
I really appreciate how you use food as medicine to improve your horses’ health and muscle mass first. So cool how Ziggy's hooves show his improvement health-wise ….our nails and hair do the same, but it’s cool to see on other species.
He reminds me so much of my little Arabian, Maki. I kept him until he was just a few months shy of 34. He was a go getter for 30 of those years. His teeth wore out and he lived on what I called soup for the rest of his life. He was a super little guy and I still miss him over 30 years later and many horses.
Ziggy is such a good boy! He wants to please you. Each day is going to get better and better for him and you. Love Ziggy a great big bunch. Thank you Clever Cowgirl for your patience and another wonderful video!🐎♥️😊
He is cute as a button....that sensitivity, intelligence and desire to bond and please is why I have been in love with Arabians and Arab bred horses my whole life. I can appreciate and admire lots of breeds but there is something special about these horses that spoiled me for anything else.
Ziggy looks so much better. You will have a blast with him. 18 is so young for an Arabian. We have a 26 yo stallion in our barn that is owned and shown by a 16 yo girl. So glad you have him and he will have a great life.
I thought Ziggy did really well in figuring out what you wanted of him. He gets a high score for remaining calm and responsive. My horses were trained by a natural horsemanship guy when I took them at 2 to be saddle broke but they had extensive ground work I had done on them since they were weanlings and already knew how to flex totally side to side, lounge, and were thoroughly desensitized to ropes swinging over their body from each side and wrapped around their legs. They also knew how to give their hindquarters and lower their heads.
He's starting to look really good, can't wait for you to ride him. I think he has a bit of spice that he's hiding at the moment. He was a real bargain. Thanks for the update C.C ❤❤❤
If they could only talk and tell us about thier lives, imagine what he would say about his 18 years. I am very glad that his previous owners took pretty good care of him and didn't ride him to the ground. With the intuitive sense you have about horse's, he will pick that up when you ride him I am sure. I watched the video when you rode Frisco Bill and I must say you ride very well. That will be wonderful for him. He is truly improving in his health and body day by day. You know your stuff. 👌😉. I hope he becomes a great joy for you.
He is such a handsome guy, and it is so nice to see him greeting you at the fence (even) after his siesta. Amazing, how his feet are already changing since he is with you! At the end he seemed to me like "what, are we finished already?" 🤔 Love from Switzerland 🌞❤
He's a great little guy, love his disposition...and 18 isn't that terrible old! I think he's got a bunch of years yet, in him! And some of the best! If you keep him or pass him on, he's a perfect little mature guy, ready for the mountains!
Ziggy is really trying to do exactly what you want😊 So attentive and thank you for giving him an amazing life with you and the crew❤we love your videos!

Ziggy being 18. Outstanding! He's showing how much he likes his new home. I noticed towards the end of the vid he was turning his head to shoulder on his own. Love this guy.
Ziggy is adorable, such a good Dude. Seems to have no malice. One can see how willing he is to want to understand what you are asking from him. I feel you will have lots of fun riding himnthis Summer. What fascinates me is how you can tell that a horses back is akin.
I liked what you did to evaluate his topline and flexibility, CC, It made a lot of sense. I had to pause on his hooves to notice the difference after the new ridge and look forward to seeing what you do with them. I look forward to learning with him. He's such a grateful and willing pupil.
@@RataPerry From AI Overview in Google: A horse's topline is the group of muscles that run from the top of the neck to the croup region, supporting the spine, neck, and hindquarters. This muscle group is central to a horse's strength and stability, and allows the horse to walk, jump, pivot, and gallop. A strong topline is also an indicator of a horse's health and diet, and is vital to maintaining its athletic ability and soundness.

Ziggy is such a good boy! He wants to please you. Each day is going to get better and better for him and you. Love Ziggy a great big bunch. Thank you Clever Cowgirl for your patience and another wonderful video!🐎♥️😊
Ziggy seems to be a perfect match for your calm, loving training style. Great catch!
He’s very patient 💜💜💜
He is cute as a button....that sensitivity, intelligence and desire to bond and please is why I have been in love with Arabians and Arab bred horses my whole life. I can appreciate and admire lots of breeds but there is something special about these horses that spoiled me for anything else.
Ziggy has such a kind eye! I'm glad he found his way to you! He will get excellent care now! ❤
What a pretty little horse!! I wish I could afford a horse to ride to help strengthen my core!
He's so beautiful. ❤
I don't know anything about horses. Thank-you for explaining what your doing and why.
At the end he seemed to me like "what, are we finished already?" 🤔
Love from Switzerland 🌞❤
He is adorable, and I'm so glad he is with you. Looking forward to seeing his progress.
Ziggy is a super super fella! I love the way he's trying to do what you want without any complaints. Such a wholesome thing to observe! 🥰
His muscles will improve once he gets exercise.
Beautiful and you are doing such a great job with him!
He's a great little guy, love his disposition...and 18 isn't that terrible old! I think he's got a bunch of years yet, in him! And some of the best! If you keep him or pass him on, he's a perfect little mature guy, ready for the mountains!
Ziggy is such a an awesome horse... A great addition... Good job
Ziggy is really trying to do exactly what you want😊 So attentive and thank you for giving him an amazing life with you and the crew❤we love your videos!

Im so impressed with Ziggy. He is going to be a lovely horse to own.
Ziggy being 18. Outstanding! He's showing how much he likes his new home. I noticed towards the end of the vid he was turning his head to shoulder on his own. Love this guy.
So beautiful.
What is a "top line?" Please explain to me that term.
@@RataPerry CC could best answer this, and, I bet she will (?). Just stay tuned.
he will be a good horse when you are finished...he looks better for sure.
I think Ziggy is smitten with you!🤍 He is a very sweet horse!
