Nice! I think Maxon should do an Architect modelling layout! Modelling tools like Sketchup (Smart Extrude - Pushpull) and AutoCAD (Lines) with an option to enter the value of the line size, an option for locking in the axis and direction of the drawing by pressing a shortcut. That would be very nice!
Well, they implemented grid fill which is in blender for a long time and at least I was waiting for. Seems that they're trying to catch up the other 3D tools because they were behind for a lot Maybe it took so much time for their developers when changed the c4d core to be fully modular. (I'm talking about the "fields" stuff)
Adding ZBrush to Maxon One without an increase in the sub was a great thing also! And another small but good change was adding an extra decimal digit to numerical entries (eg. 0.001 to 0.0001).
CPU core is getting better and faster and cheaper. so this Redshift addition made me sooo happy after so long stuck with Physical. i need that accurate GI ^^
I truly appreciate Dimitri's videos. He shows exactly how something works rather than just blabbering throughout the video and showing graphs upon graphs of things like other youtubers. Keep it up buddy.
This is all Maxon can do in one whole fuckin' year. It's embarrassing, it really is. A poly patch tool, some bridge tools they stole from ZBrush, retopo they stole from ZBrush, some native RedShift stuff (at least a plus), rope and a handful of other shite updates. With the money they have, the release could have featured many needed updates to lots of very shit and very dated aspects of C4D.
Definitely a thumbs up release! I was prepared to skip this one but CPU Redshift is good enough of a reason for me to try it. I do a ton of modelling in C4D so I already got a bunch of tools and scripts to help me out but it's nice to see some improvements there as well. And simulations are always fun to play around with even though it feels like a mix of the old and new system seeing how you have to add a collider of the new system to rigid bodies of the old system.
It seems like cloth and remeshing are both zbrush tech integrated into c4d. Modeling features are nice but standard in other software for years. Hard to be excited about this release when you rcompetition is Houdini, Maya and Blender.
