That oil on damp hair is genius! I live in hot humid climate and every morning I had to battle greasy hair after sweating in sleep. Now it's silky smooth for days as I only wash my hair twice a week.
You should look up the curly method! It’s actually called the curly girl method, but it’s for everybody. Rather than washing all of your hair, you should apply shampoo only to the scalp and scrub. When you rinse it out the soap will clean out the rest of your strands without drying your hair out. Also, the Curly method gives advice about which products are best for curly hair, stuff that won’t dry your hair out. Also, it is best to wash upside down, just remember to wash your face well afterwards! Washing it and rinsing the other way just creates acne on the neck and back, which is harder to reach to clean
Was gonna suggest this also. I appreciate he's making these videos for men but there's some stuff idk if I'd follow, such as the shampooing everywhere. I learned it's best to just do scalp (like you said) and then the shampoo falls down the strands of your hair as you wash it out and that helps clean the rest, and then you only condition everywhere else (i.e. not scalp).
Im kinda in between routines since I have decided to focus on defining my natrual curls. As of now I wash and condition every sunday evenning and that is the only time I fully wet my hair. After the shower I wrap my hair in a microfiber towel for 15min then I do a quick detangling with a wide tooth comb before applying argan oil. The morning after I dampen my hair with a spray bottle filled with water and a bit of conditioner, then I apply curling cream and squanch my hair. After that I use a diffuser to dry it for 5 minutes on the lowest heat setting, then I seal it with bit of argan oil and finnish diffusing it. Every morning after this I will spray a tiny bit of clean water on my hair and squanch it a bit to refresh my curls. If its dry I will use the water with conditioner and a bit of argan oil. There is a lot of added moisture in my routine, but my hair needs it, it gets dry fast
What kind of hair you have? Cause if you have straight hair, chances are awkward phase is gonna be pain in the ass. But if you have curly or wavy hair, chances are some curly hair is better than straight
Fun fact: Over washing your hair can make it greasy. It'll disrupt the balance of sebum production, and to compensate, your scalp will go into overdrive and make even more. Also, wash your hair with water that's between warm and hot. Cold water doesn't open up the cuticles very well, and can make them close.
Really? I always thought the opposite about the cold water. But yeah over washing ur hair(guys whos takin a shower each day) isn’t good for ur hair and ur skin.
It is somewhat right but if you are living in a very humid place and have to travel every day for work then washing becomes a daily routine you cannot miss. Yes you don't have to wash with shampoo, take 1 or 2 days gap if possible
Great video. I have really think, wavy/curly and frizzy hair. It’s like it can’t decide if it wants to fro out or grow like a mullet. It’s so annoying but after nearly 30 years I finally figured out how to manage it. The fact of the matter is everyone is different and some hair types - like mine - require much more maintenance and moisture. Not washing so much is one of the best practices you can do, for starters, as you touched on. But also, the water temp matters. The hotter the water, the drier your hair (and skin) will be. I use lukewarm water as much as I can. Drip/air drying is a big nono for me. I just wrap it up in a cloth for like 20 minutes Hair oil is so underutilized. And to finish things off, I use a leave-in conditioner like Paul Mitchell’s Tea Tree or It’s a 10. Pricey stuff but worth it. I usually have to reapply later in the day.
Thank you for the video! Amazing! I let my hair grow for the first time and now that it is slightly beneath the shoulders, I felt the need to learn how to do deal with it. I will use all of your tips! :D
I thought I was weird because, for the longest time, I’ve been using my old soft t-shirts to dry my hair after shower. Well now at least a greek god is doing the same thing too 😅
If you have the hair for it you can also just use conditioner and skip shampoo entirely. Though, not everyone can do that, you need a thicker hair type for that to work well.

washing your hair once or twice a week is one thing, but if youre not showering more than twice a week Im sorry but you more than likely stink and have gone noseblind to it. Ive known so many people who think they dont stink, but smell terrible. Just shower. Its 5 minutes to not subject everyone around you to your stink. Just because you think youre okay doesnt mean you dont smell. I knew a kid who thought he smelled fine, would always dress nice and try to look cool, but he was known as the guy who reeked of BO. You could smell him across the room. Your name is Joe and you have an anime pfp so the odds of you not actually stinking are pretty low.
Thank you, my hair is about the same length as yours and its also wavy (2a or 2b) and I can tie it in the same way, the problem that I have is that a lot of shorter hairs stick out when I do and I really hate that. I will follow the advice of trying not to use Head&Shoulders and to use a towel on my hair with more care.
Impressive! Nice tutorial! Its nice to get some tips from you... the one who absolutely has a healthy and glowy hair! So stunning! I didnt realize, we also have to consider the kind of textile to use for pillow cases. Well, that makes sense. And also, i rarely blow dry my hair coz i figured, it literally dries our hair and yeah, there's this heat protector spray? I didnt know there's such a kind of product like that. 😃🙂 ill find that one here. In my case, i do regular trimmings to my hair to evade split and dry ends... And when hair is still damp and slightly wet, i apply hair moisturizer or hair gloss... i comb my hair section by section to prevent some strands from falling. I love to massage my scalp with just a very tiny bit of olive oil or virgin coconut oil before i sleep and make sure that i shower in the morning of the following day. Do that twice or thrice in a week. Hair coloring and straightening will absolutely damage hair, so i never do that. Another nice content you have! 🙂😃😉💕👍👌

I use the length of my hair to protect the back of my neck from burning in the Sun but the wind always leaves it super Tangled, I use Dove men's for shampoo and Pantene for conditioner but I usually do a cooler shower and wash my hair out everyday because of the plant material in it

I have a question for all my long haired lads and ladettes, how do I NOT wash my hair everyday? I keep hearing that tip and it catches my eye but I just don't know exactly what I am supposed to do the days that I don't wash it? Do I just not use shampoo that day but it's ok to get it wet in the shower? Or do I wear those things you see in cartoons to keep your hair dry when taking a bath? Lol I just don't know
How do I maintain hair cleanliness if I workout high intensity 5 days a week and get home all sweaty. but I shampoo/condition only 2 times a week. I assume the other days can't be ONLY water... right?
That's not the symptom of hairfall though while hairwash if u get like above 100 strands falling then maybe hairfall is happening it's my pov dunno bout others
Question about how often to rinse your hair. I workout every morning, I know it’s not good to wash using shampoo each day, but is it okay to rinse my hair? Or does that fall into the same category as washing? I typically start my hairstyle with damp hair
You should wash your hair everyday but don't shampoo every time, it depends on the hair type but you'll usually know when it needs shampooing, just water is fine for a few washes.
Man it's okay if you don't use shampoo,i only use conditioner twice a week and wash hair everyday with water,i let them grow naturally and focus a bit on diet

I am a student and study to be a hairdresser. Don't use Head And Shoulders shampoo! Too much silicone! If you wash your hair with that, your going to create a barier around your hair and scalp. And that barier looks good! But it's actually silicone! And at one point that barier is going to break. And voila...

Dude I really appreciate the video, my hair are 4-5 inchers longer than shoulder length, and they were great when they were of the length you have rn, but now they kinda get a bit dry and feel weak, but oil manages them and gives the healthy/shiny look. But the real question is do you get regular trims? And are you gonna keep all your hair of equal length? I didn't cut my hairs for 2 years coz I like how they naturally grew and now I'm afraid of barbers lol. Thanks a lot mate, they'll look great on you once they are shoulder length.
