When I came across Cornell's music in my teens (14) it was shocking to me how much I couñd relate to it. Themes, lyrics, sonic concepts, rhythms, etc. For me, Chris became like this example of how someone like me could still have a chance at a good life or at least going after one. Attempting and not fearing falling short because of how fleeting moods can be. There were many times in my life where I only had his music to console and help me along the way. Nothing has been easy really and I felt really connected to him. I suffer from depression as well and think that I still have a shot at a carreer in music. Have been working towards that plenty. He remains one of my heroes. So sad when he passed. Gotta rise above. But still so sad. Hurts. But gotta persevere.
