"I was just born that way..." I feel that way about my depression. His comments on religion are accurate too. I'm not interested in religion either. It takes a very intelligent person to realize there's no right and wrong way. Knowing you don't know is the only truth. It's too scary for most people to handle. Being a free thinker is rare in this society. He's on my wavelength about everything. I do believe Jesus existed as well. You are missed Chris. RIP, can't believe you're gone already :'(

i think he was follower of jesus
also his family are really christian family i believe, i mean his wife and others
      therefore he was christian :DDD
and btw last song he sing was "in my time of dying"
therefore he believed in jesus as son of god
      this was recorded in 2008
      MY LITTLE THEORY :DDD

Spashaei Throughout my life I've always felt that permanent void within myself and everything else around me. When I came across Cornell's music in my teens (14) it was shocking to me how much I couñd relate to it. Themes, lyrics, sonic concepts, rhythms, etc.
For me, Chris became like this example of how someone like me could still have a chance at a good life or at least going after one. Attempting and not fearing falling short because of how fleeting moods can be.
There were many times in my life where I only had his music to console and help me along the way. Nothing has been easy really and I felt really connected to him.
I suffer from depression as well and think that I still have a shot at a carreer in music. Have been working towards that plenty.
He remains one of my heroes.
      So sad when he passed.
Gotta rise above. But still so sad. Hurts.
      But gotta persevere.

They would judge him Christ himself who sacrificed his self for Us To be Saved From Satan. I do believe in Jesus Christ.

And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself."

Have you even read the book you speak so arrogantly about.. I assume not.. and if you have, you quite clearly do not understand it.. 6:26.."his message is pretty simple.." that was not His message at all... we can try and simplify "the message" all we want but that does not make it "simple".. It's not at all about the "message" it's all about The Messenger and until you know The Messenger the message is meaningless.. Keep searching for Truth and maybe some day you may find it... Peace

There's a difference between religious and spiritual, though often the two paths cross. I began a search about Chris' religion after really listening to The Worm. It seemed like he might be "born again" in some fashion. To me the song is about being reborn spiritually, though not specifically religiously.

He was like that sometimes in interviews. Onstage he was a completely different person than offstage. He even once said himself that he tended to be quiet, while other people were joking around & being loud, & was kinda shy. Shy people aren't very good at looking at others in the eye, necessarily, especially when being interviewed for tv.
