Despite the lack of music, Um Kulthum's recitation of "Surat Ibrahim" from the Koran is profound; the words take you elsewhere and allow you to appreciate the depth of language. There is also no need for backing music because she is already reciting in Tajweed, which sounds like singing. The music of Umm Kulthoum makes you realise how beautiful the nature is and how much there is more to discover about us. It serves as a reminder of Allah Subhanhu W Taala's power and of how merciful, considerate, and cognizant He is of every aspect of this universe.
The quran no need music itself but the melodies used here already contain music, the maqamat melodies contain musical scale of doremifasolatido. You can watch video about it on RUclips teaches by Dr. Taha Abdel Wahab
hahahaahahahahaahahahahaahahhaha..MAshallah..mashallah..dont fight each other my brothers... :-) Allah made Umm Kulthum to us..as to show His power on humankind ..may Allah rest her soul..ameen.
@@aamirmajeed2040 her father Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Baltagi was performer of anasheed and qasidah with his children. When his son got sick, Umm Kulthum became substitute and dressed as a boy. Umm Kulthum exquisite and magnificent voice got attention from Cairo based composer, Ustaz Zakaria Ahmed. From here her career started
Her recitation reflects influence of Sheikh Mohammed Salamah recitation and at least Sheikh Taha El-Fashni. Only few recitations of Sheikh Mohammed Salamah survived and available on internet. He's the famous qari' in 1940-50 before Sheikh Mustafa Ismail rising up to be the number 1 Egyptian qari'
I can't see any Egyptian qariah in the past, since the act of female reciting Quran with maqamat in front of ajnabi were considered inappropriate. Only recent times got female reciter name Somaiya El-Dib. Thank Allah for giving Umm Kulthum to sing for us, both the love songs and religious songs
At her time, weren't all people like us knowing that the song is haram, you can say there was some ignorance they were seeing the song just as an art, but they forgot that this song distracted many people of their lives and worships and make hearts busy with non-useful stuff..etc so that it's haram
Who are you to decide? Do you have knowledge of the unseen? Are you the one who chooses who is admitted into Jannah or Jahannam? Worry about ur own akhirah. You won’t be held accountable for her deeds. Focus on ur own
MashaAllah! She had an extraordinary voice
May Allah grant her jannah.
Subhanallah . Salam from indonesia

Yeah. She chose the wrong paths. This was when Egypt was in darkness in terms of religious practice.
