HyperDip is an even better PlastiDip and can be used to black out, basically, anything. And if it doesn't turn out the way you like, just peel it off!
This is easier than vinyl to get right.
My next video will be on spraying the chrome trim around the windows and the mirrors.

    Tooth picks work great.

Plastidip was easy to peel off with heavy layers. However, for hyperdip layers appear to be much thicker than plastidip. I peeled it off away from the angle and whole thing started to lift. I brush coated on my second try and I finally got it.

How long lasting do you expect it to be? Carwash approved? :D

They say it will last 3 years or more and if it's not regularly handled it looks like it will last that long no problem. I do not run mine through car washes but others have and it does stand up.
In my next video I will show the spots where I had issues and had to do some touch up repairs.

How did you do the mirrors?

The underside of the mirrors are also sprayed and the tops were either vinyl wrapped or have caps.

@teslamark - what color did you go with? Piano black or shadow black? I'm confused though as your video showing the spray process is plasti dip

how does it stick to the chrome emblem but not the car paint when peeling? I dont understand this. and it is easy to remove if you dont want the look anymore?

It is kind of magical 😄. That's just kind of how it works. I think part of it is that your car paint usually has a wax on it, so that helps. But also, no matter where it is, if you scrape a part off it can start to peel. But usually it won't continue to peel from the paint to the emblem bc it won't be thick enough.
