I used to fly over this track almost daily at at a couple hundred feet on short final to the helicopter pad on a Nellis AFB. It was always cool when the nascar guys were out there practicing. It was also cool when the NHRA guys were in town and you could see them from the air. Our unit was close enough to the tracks we could hear the drag cars and nascar guys running. I miss Vegas!
I felt bad watching this live last night: it was the first time I'd made it to an Iracing stream and it goes so badly so early on. Hopefully next week can go better!

I really wish some people would stop being butt hurt babies when in the moment we say something about someone. It's becoming high school anymore. I get called a fucking idiot all of the time I am sure. Not to mention my reaction was genuine and in the moment pissed off at wrecking so early in the race. If you watch the race unfold you will see the part when I cooled down talked to Scott about it and moved on with our race. Instead we get people telling me how to save the car or don't do this or that.
Yes everyone will always think they know better even when they are not in the situation. I have done it too. Even hurt my channel a bit when I did it. Everything happened in the moment. and after everyone cooled down it was fixed. Some people don't happen to watch all the video before jumping in.
I'm not telling you how to save the car or not save the car, and yeah i obviously went on and watched the rest of the video and heard you and him talk it out, nobody is blaming you for that I was simply saying that the car was still heading back into his lane because you hadn't quite saved it yet, I would like to apologize though for just jumping to the defense even tho i hadn't seen the rest of the video yet

Wow Jeff really. It was your fault both times. First you moved down into him in turn 1. Then you spun got loose then went low below the white line. You should have started breaking yourself and stayed low. Then once you had control then got back onto the track. You tried to be a hero and of course your not and could not regain control of your car. In doing so you came back onto the track still out of control and you caused yourself to wreck and messing up the other drivers race even as you can clearly see him trying to avoid hitting you from your bad driving twice.

I think you would be smart to let this one go Jeff, it looked more like a lack of awareness thing on his end than just straight up dumping you to be honest. Can't expect lower-mid split drivers to be competent in wreck avoidance. And you were still quite loose when he hit you the 2nd time.
Oddly enough I fell asleep during Stage 2 at Vegas, and problem being, it, Fontana, Texas and I believe Atlanta are all built by the same people, i.e., it leads to long, boring single groove racing. Only thing that made Atlanta is the surface is like a paved dirt track.

Michael Pavia no they are not repaving it, it's just that the project is not complete. Phoenix still has to redo the pit road and finish up the grandstands. The project won't be completed until the Fall race. The track isn't getting a repave, but they are just moving the start/finish line. Again, the start/finish like won't be moved untill the project is completed in the Fall. iRacing probably won't have the new track until next year or even two years from now.

RoundenBrown because the sim is subscription based, wait until you have spent well over $600 in tracks and cars before the subscription fee comes into play. Also iracing is a full blown simulator that some real racing teams use to train

That is not a solution, a lot of people have what they have and don't have alternative options. Kohl be sure to check your QoS settings. I used to have issues with that being the problem.

You cry a little too much. The 1st contact was clearly incidental. He might not have been able to hold his line tight to the bottom and drifted a tad up the track n you happened to be there. Then as you were saving when ulook at his cockpit view it looked like u were going up the track so he went low. You got loose again and came back down and he was already there. Sure he could have checked up a bit more but at the risk of losing control of his own car n collecting both of you he stayed in it. Nothing wring with it. Maybe you should stop trying to "save ur stuff" every race and losing ten positions in the first 20 laps every race and you wont keep getting run over cuz clearly ur strategy is not working. Better luck next week i still enjoy watching you race minus the whining.
