- Review & How to Use the Forster® Co Ax® Case and Cartridge Inspector / Concentricity Gage. Is this reloading tool any good? How does it compare to others on the market? Is it easy to use and does it provide good results?
Good that they replaced the broken indicator, solid company
Yeah, great company and usually great products. Just a foul ball on this one.
Thanks for making an depth video on the Forster
Glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching!
I'll bet you and I were in around the same time. I was in Amtracs from 80-84 with 2d AAVs at Lejeune. Went to Beirut in 83.
I just bought one of these Forsters at Scheels because they didn't have the Hornady in stock... watching your struggles with it, I may regret it.
Yep, we were. 8th Engr for me at LeJeune and 80-89. If you wind up wanting better than the Forster, go with the Sinclair, you'll never look back. ruclips.net/user/shorts452ahrMFHlU?feature=shared
@@CrustyOldMarine Combat Engineer? Did you train at Courthouse Bay? If you did, then we were running around there at the same time.
Are you shooting competition? I've been reloading for a long time and I've gotten serious about precision hand loading, but I haven't done any competition shooting despite being a 4th award expert in the Corps and even receiving an invitation for qualify for the rifle team. I see the guys that are competing and it seems like it comes down to who has the most money to spend on custom rifles, high end optics, and fancy gear. I compete with myself though, like shooting milk jugs at over 1100 yards with a .308 Win in Wyoming wind.
@@CplSkiUSMC G4. And yes, in rifle I shoot Service Rifle with the Marine Corps League National Shooting Team / National Marksmanship Detachment; I also shoot F Open 600/1000 and you are partially correct, equipment and $$ are a factor in F Class Open to be competitive on a regional & national level. Since you already have a 308 you should look into F Class T/R (Target Rifle) where only 223 and 7.62 are permitted. It throws the "competitiveness" a little more back on the shooter & shot from a bipod, although equipment & $$ is still a thing. Or, you could shoot in "any rifle" class and shoot prone w sling, 10 and x are larger and equipment is again a little less of a factor. Regardless of your equipment & $$ just get out and compete! If you're hitting milk jugs at 1100 and are hitting them 98% of the time, you and your equipment are already competitive.
@@CrustyOldMarine Not sure I could shoot a sling anymore. I've had surgery on both shoulders and they ache all the time. Hitting the milk jug at 1100+ in Wyoming's crazy wind isn't a 98% proposition, but it certainly makes you a much better shooter in the wind. I might have to look into it and just get out there a time or two to see how competitive I can be with what I've got. I'd love to be able to give those $10,000+ guys a run with my Savage action/Shilen barrel/Arken scope .308 Winchester. I'm still working on a quarter minute load, but I'm close at .3 MOA. That's why I got a case neck trimmer and the Forster gage, I'm looking for that last bit of accuracy that will get me to quarter minute or sub quarter minute groups.
Semper Fi!

it came with broken parts? not the norm for Forster
Could you do one on the Sinclair?
Will when I get it !
Have you used on anything other than 5.56? Did it work any better?
Yes, 6.5, 308 and 30.06...and no. Worked no better
You sold me on not getting this one.
I've got the Sinclair now and WOW, SO much better! Hope to get around to a review on one day soon.
Forster's a great company but not everybody likes everything
How do you ike your Forster CoAx Press?
I love it! I should probably do a review on it too.
The pilots were extra? That kinda sucks
Yeah sort of but, given all the different cases/calibers out there, I understand. Plus, they are not very expensive
"Pain in the ass" haha
pain in the ass lolololol
WOW! that thing is a pain in the ass...lol
