  • Tempered (or toughened) glass is generally found in all windows except windscreens (which are laminated). When broken, toughened glass released energy, breaks into small droplets, and creates dust. The aim (if it is necessary to break the glass) is to leave no glass residue on the floor or inside the vehicle. Always use glass sheets to catch glass droplets inside and outside the vehicle. The following options can be considered:
    1. For door glass, lower the window into the door just leaving a small part visible. Cover and break using glass punch. The majority of glass droplets will now be inside the door.
    2. For other glass, use soft protection sheet on the inside. Break by using a glass punch (in the corner of the window) and push the soft protection sheet through the window. This will remove all of the glass to the outside of the vehicle.
