That was super helpful because I didn't know the exact technique to change my Speedmaster's original Omega NATO strap to the original Omega leather one. I asked the shop to change it to the NATO strap at the point of purchase. They took it out the back, changed the staps over, then put the leather one back in the box. So I was never able to observe the technique. Thanks to this video, I used the Omega tool that came with my Speedmaster to quickly swap the leather one back on without causing damage. Your technique was the key. Thanks so much for posting this video.
Glad i could help
Perfect execution and plenty of cautioning - very professional. That’s the way you teach. Thank you.
You're very welcome!
Thanks so much for this! After struggling for an hour and watching 5-6 other youtube videos on this subject, this was the absolute best video out there. After watching this it took me 3 tries and I was golden! Worked as a charm on my BB 36 where all other tips in videos did not get me anywhere. Again thanks a bunch, I was close to giving up before I found your video
You're very welcome!
Same here!
I didn't know that you really have to put a bit more pressure on the bracelet. That was the key.
Thank you!😊
Thank you sir!
I was struggling putting back in the bracelet.
Your instructions made it easy.
Glad it helped!
Thanks so much! I was trying hard to do this on mine and I was scratching up my lugs. You helped with the push index finger trick.
THANKS !!! Saved me a lot of time and frustration ... pushing up...what a simple and great idea !!
This was really helpful. I just managed to remove my SMP 300 bracelet with your tips. Thank you.
Awesome, enjoy the watch!
Best tutorial concerning this type of bracelet I have seen - thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
@@DavidPhamChannel 😊
Thank you!!! I was about to give up and take it to an Omega store. You saved me a trip. It's much easier to take the bracelet off than put it back on.
Dude, thank you so very much bi watched your video and decided not to through my watch out the window because I finally got it off the bracelet. And my daughter liked your video.
Awesome, thanks, glad to help!
Wow, you make it quick and easy! Thanks for the video, I usually include brute force and curse words to complete the process,
Awesome video straight to to point solid advice.
Thanks!
Thanks mate. This helped a lot. I switched my bracelet out on my Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean from QoS with a nato strap
Nice tutorial, it worked great. Thank you.
Thanks for this,, useful tip about applying the pressure, with your finger,,,, I took my bracelet off my smp 300m, a couple of months ago, to wear it on an Isofrane strap, for the summer, and will be putting it back on the bracelet maybe around October...
I'll check out this video again, before I re-install the bracelet, ! Many will say, this is totally obvious what to do, but I like to be 100% confident, before attempting anything to do with my very expensive pride and joy,, ha ha..
Thanks again,, all the best...
ps,, I highly recommend the Isofrane black rubber strap.!!
Thanks Dave! This method really worked like a charm not for an Omega though for a Mido
Glad it helped!
This was super useful. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this very clear instruction makes it incredibly easy to change bracelets. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
No problem
Perfect instructions! Thanks so much.
Very helpful for a beginner like me. Thanks a lot!
Wow finally I learned I strugled for months thanks
Glad I could help
Brilliant video. The only one that helped me!
Thank you for this tip!!!!
You bet!
Nice video David - Helped greatly! Subbed.
Thanks for the sub!
ur the best!!!, bin trying for 3 days till now ( Longines Hydroconquest )
Thank you for sharing, great video !
Thanks for watching!
Thanks! Hardest springbars I've ever removed
It was a great help! Appreciate🙏🏼
Nice and succinct video, thank you. I have seem a couple of Omega bracelet removal videos now and they all suggests sort of "lifting" the base of the strap out of place to gain access to the pins. Mine doesn't seem to even budge on my 2021 Speedmaster. I shall keep trying!
EDIT: Just kidding. I got it. Thanks again.
Glad it was helpful!
Brilliant video, life saver, many thanks
You're welcome!
Sehr sehr gute Beschreibung 👍

Thanks for making a very helpful video.

Thanks very much, very helpful
You're welcome!
Thanks alot:-) Quick and easy
Great video. A few questions for you since I have the exact same Planet Ocean:
1- how often do you swap from bracelet to strap? And do you always use the Bergeon 6767 or do you use the tweezers?
2- Have you noticed any enlarging or deformation of the lug holes? I keep thinking that the tension from the springbar while it’s between the lugs can put pressure on the edges of the lug holes as it’s “clicking” into place. Any thoughts on this?
I usually change between strap and bracelet a couple times a year. No, I haven't noticed the holes deforming/altering in any way, aside from some surface scratches. The lug holes have not changed since owning the watch. Be sure to use OEM omega spring bars, they are built to fit in the holes perfectly without any wiggle, after market spring bars are rounded on the ends and a tad smaller so when the are seated they will wiggle a bit.
@@DavidPhamChannel oh I definitely only use OEM bars for the watch and even minimize how often I swap between strap and bracelet. I noticed another video you use the Bergeon tweezers. Would you say the majority of your strap/bracelet changes are with the Bergeon 6767 or the tweezers?
@@rahulchowdhry9472 I only use the 6767F for my Omega watches, the tweezers aren't great for the Omega spring bars
@@DavidPhamChannel got it. Appreciate the feedback. Love the videos on your PO8900. Keep it up
I would also place a thumb on it for better control, before pushing it upward. That way you're not causing the scratches (scratches I wouldn't be OK with, imagine trying to sell an unworn watch this way with a different strap)
Great help!
Amazing tip
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for posting this. I have the same watch with both bracelet and OEM strap but I struggle when it comes time to put the rubber strap back on - it doesn't click into place as easily as the bracelet. Would you be willing to do a video on how to install the OEM rubber strap with the Bergeon 6767? I bet others would find that useful as well
Hey watch this video, just slow down the video speed. Starts at 1:20
ruclips.net/video/qZe8TByngSA/видео.html
Its not as detailed as this video but the steps are more or less identical to this one. Let me know how it goes.
@@DavidPhamChannel So it's a little hard to see how you did it... the bracelet was more clear. Are you putting the springbar in between the lugs first and then wiggling the strap so that both ends get seated into the holes? Or are you guiding one end of the springbar into the hole first with the forked tool and then pushing down on the other side until that clicks into place?
@@patrickkohli6456 You will only need the spring bar tool to seat the 2nd end of the spring bar. the first end of the spring bar gets inserted into the hole at the start without using the tool. Does this make sense?
It was very helpful thank you!!
You're welcome!
Omega spring bars are single collar vs Rolex which are double collar and easier for the tool to grip them.
You may be able to buy an aftermarket spring bar that has a double collar for the omega.
I would tape the lugs front and back and even part of the case and bracelet. This is a safety measure should the tool slip and scratch the case or lugs.
I would also open the bracelet from the clasp to make it easier to access the holes to insert the spring bar tool.
Also, move the watch case away and to the bracelet instead of the other way round. Keep the spring bar tool stable. This is when using a spring bar plier.
I charge $20 to do this for customers at my shop, It does have risk if you scratch. Customers get peeved. I do the same technique as you did but for added safety I put scotch tape over while I do the work so the tool or pin does not skip and scuff.
Excellent
Very informative. But I still can't get it, way too finicky and I don't have the patience. These luxury brands really should all have an easy changeable strap system like iwc
I agree, they will come eventually.
Does removing the bracelet using your technique prevents scratches on the lugs?
It prevents scratches on the outside of the lugs, the underside may scratch if you are not careful. In the video I mention using tape to mask off the underside, if you do this there will be no scratches.
99.99% scratches guaranteed. This is not the recommended way to remove bracelets. Straps, yes. Bracelet, no. Noob, lazy, incapable, whatever you want to call it, please get proper pliers.
I don’t get it, is my bracelet the ONLY one where Omega used so much locktite it needs heat!?
Nope, its pretty common, thus why I included it in the video.
How to change the date in seamster in omega ?
By moving the hour hand forward or backwards 24 hours, there is no quick date change on this model.
@@DavidPhamChannel i did thank you.
I land here after almost 30 minutes trying to remove the bracelet... Wish me luck! haha
Good luck!!

I I could have seen/searched this before scratching my case 🙈
Glad you eventually found it.
Hello . How do you remove the link? Thanks a lot
I have a video on this

@@DavidPhamChannel but the ones without screws
@@fearthereaper5663 oh sorry. I don't have any Omega watches with pins and collars anymore.
PLEASE AVOID SCRATCHES ON YOUR WATCH! If you just watched this video and want to try it yourself, then please tape your lugs with some sort of tape! I just introduced the first scratches to my brand new Omega Speedmaster by doing it the way it is shown here. The pins of the bracelet scratched the backside side of the curved lugs (You can also such scratches in this video). In my case the lugs have a matt finish so you can't polish the scratches out.The scratches are in. Forever. Please don't make the same mistake as I did by not taping the lugs. If you're not sure, then have it done by a professional. In hindsight I would have much more preferred paying 20 Euros/Dollars/Whatever than having scratches now.
Haha you're sucks for you
