65 year old woman here. This is my Dream Home......drool drool drool.....I want the auto too...I want it ALL . love this set up. Thank you for sharing this video Animal Man and Thank you Eric for inspiring me and hopefully others to think off grid.
OMGosh, I wasn't expecting this. I grew up with Eric and came across this video not knowing he was in it. He's a humble guy and brilliant. Great work Eric, that rig is the best set up!!!
Not sure if I'm on the right video but just watched the video about the Kenworth ? Bug out unit. He was great giving the tour you shot. Talk about being ready for anything, he IS! I have only watched this video of yours and if they are all done as well as this one I'm a new fan. Some are just not easy or fun to watch. Thanks and keep 'em coming!
Man that’s gotta be the coolest setup I’ve ever seen for a bug out vehicle I wish I had that kind of money, but besides that his design and ideas are just amazing. Awesome video I hope to one day make a bug out trailer at very least like a mini camper with tons of storage and off grid but this is a life long project because finances won’t allow me to do that and build up my house how I want it to be this was just amazing man helped me get some ideas for my dream builds
This is a beautiful, custom motorhome for traveling the USA as we now know it, but forget the bugout vehicle idea. Look at any hurricane evacuation -- I evacuated for Wilma in 2005. Read "One Second After". The roads will be choked with dead cars, and this truck would be a big fat target for the bands of marauders. You can't refuel when there is no power, and the pumps are dry.
WOW... He sure knows how to make a grown man ALMOST cry.. That thing is AMAZING.. Imagine road trips and camping in that..!?!? Although I would want to pack some guns and ammo in there too..!! haha..
same I'd have a amphibious car/boat towed by that beast during a zombie Apocalypse or I could make that beast amphibious (for the ocean) I'd have that rig going to Hawaii killin' zombies :p
If you're among the last people alive in a WROL, you will have a incredible Rig with comforts of home. More realistically you just prepped the sweetest set up for the strongest gang of marauders to take from you at gun point.
Thanks for watching this! Your comments make total sense to me. Please remember though that not every bug out scenario would be total WROL. Although some scenarios seem to be more probable than others with the way the world is going at the moment, some bug out situations may be people just escaping a regional natural disaster, or a riot in their city, etc. For those scenarios, this rig would be awesome. You just drive it out of state to where things are more normal, and when things at home calm down, you come back home.
Just because things go bad doesn't mean it's a Mad Max scenario. Even if 1000 armed people take the rig...... he has something to trade for his life. Anyway, it can't hurt.
Who says he'll be alone? His rig would help him make friends and create alliances. Not only is he well-equipped, he also possesses the mechanical and technical knowledge to build it, which makes him a very valuable person to have on your team.
Do you really think that a guy, that smart, is going to spend 9 years building something like that and not think of defense, especially if he has a family? Lol. If it was mine, there would be an onboard gun safe. Fully stocked and ready to use. Those poor marauders wouldn't know what hit them. I'm positive he has thought the same thing. He's just not going to tell anybody. Don't blame him.
Dude that guy put some serious thought into that rig! That thing is cool as shit! I'd love to bug out in that! I got my cdl and could most definitely drive it. I want one! Just need a spot for guns and ammo and I'd say it's good to go! Badass for sure!
Great rig but no BOV. It'll only go till you hit the first traffic jam or somebody who really wants it. 2 solar panels won't keep that thing charged, especially back East.
I'm not trying to say the rig is bad but, it's not a bug out vehicle, a bug out vehicle gets from A to B and mabey C safely and quickly with relatively no problems like people trying to steal from you because you have an eye magnet. It's a really good camper though!
Thanks! Actually I'm not totally sure about his background....I think a lot of what he can do is self taught from years of tinkering. I'm not sure what else on top of that. We met at a campground and instantly knew we "spoke each other's language", so I asked if I could film his creation and he was thrilled. We were kinda trying to balance "play time" with "family time" that weekend, so we didn't get to talk all that much about other things. Thank you for watching this, we had tons (literally) of fun filming it!
jeep wrangler with a three inch lift running propane{which doesn't go bad after three months of setting in a tank}a pup tent some cookware ,fishing gear a few weapons .22 rifle for small game and less noise a .30-30 for the hungry bear and a .243 for the 800 yard deer shot.A few first aid items and a rand mcnally road map.Gas and Diesel will be a dead commodity in a short time but there are billions of propane tanks to be had!Number one rule will be "GET AWAY' setting on a trail with a monster sized military vehicle broke down and out of fuel will draw unwanted attention.
Jim Hudson that's because your a fucking jackass that probably lives out of a dumpster and was raised by trashy individuals that taught you zero manners.
a 30 -30 rifle ,would only piss a grizzly bear off ,its fine for deer hunting ,but for grizzly bears ,its not big enough,u have obviously never bear hunted a single day in u r life
Thanks! I have researched them a bit, and I think they are great but too expensive right now. In about ten years or so, I think they may be more "main stream" which will drive the price way down. At that point they may become worth it. Just my humble opinion.
thank ya for the response! i was wondering how much was your battery bank? i picked up a tesla battery off of ebay for 1k (you have to use a li ion charger) and i am about to start testing it to see how it functions. li ion batteries dropped in price by 35% this past year so hopefully these new options will become cheaper and cheaper.
Are you asking about the battery bank in the rig in the video? That belongs to Eric (the man that built it) and I have no idea how much he spent on the batteries. I know he got them new and there are 24 agm batteries in there! My personal battery bank in my home currently has 3 group 29 deep cycle marine batteries from walmart. The way that I use them, even a small bank like that goes a long way though!
yes, it's very nice.but I can't help thinking he spent at least five times more on that than I'll make the rest of my life on SSI.i can't even afford a car to get to all my different Dr.s appointments.been trying for over two years.makes me want to cry.
cathy williams This makes me so 😢...my mom lived on SSI. its just about impossible. I hear things like this and I wonder why I toil away to have ad much as i have yet I dont feel like i can do for myself either...we have all lost a sense of community.
The rig is not mine, I just shot the video for Eric (the man that built it) so the bottom line is I honestly don't know. It would not surprise me at all if he made major changes to things like brakes, since I know how handy he is with things like that. He built almost everything himself from scratch from plans that he drew up himself. I believe he told me he began this project by stripping away almost everything except the engine and parts of the chassis. A lot can be done with 9 years and tons of determination.
It's definitely a cool truck and well put together. Being a truck driver years ago, I know that it would be almost impossible to modify the brake system to get away from air. Plus the brake release buttons are still on the dash as can be seen from the video. Either way thanks for sharing this video.

Small world! Love your screen name photo by the way.
Animal Man Survivor Yes it is a small world, great videos Sir, thanks for sharing. Lol at my Gollum picture, he's my "precious."
What a awesome job he did. Very impressed. Thanks for showing.
brilliant. he built it all himself and is rightfully proud. good job.
Wow absolutely awesome! What a creative and talented guy!! Hoping he's really proud of his creation!!!!
Outstanding. All the skills required are mindboggling.
That guy has done an amazing job...well done.
This guy has a ton of money for this set up. Helicopter? WOW! Love the GEM car.
More of a hotel suite on wheels than a bug out vehicle. Very useful during hurricane season.
wow amazing 👍 best thing about building it your self ....if it breaks no need to bring it to service center fix it himself...this rig awesome 👍
sounds like he has fun building and tweaking that rig
Excellent job Eric!
thats the best bugout offgrid vehicle ive come across yet wow thats beautiful
It’s beautiful, but wouldn’t last 5 minutes as a bug out vehicle for obvious reasons.
Thanks for sharing I'm in the first stages of building a semi truck camper .this will be helpful.
You are welcome! Good luck on your endeavor!
That thing is awesome. It's got a wind turbine. :O How cool.
I second that!

Impressive. Wow. Smart and wise gentleman.
Very nice truck and knowledgeable dude!!!
Yes he is!
Love this guy seems like the type who always has to have something to do, always looking to improve Impressive
What a great piece of work! Thanks for the inspiration!
Amazing and impressive rig!
Ignore the haters. I'd like to be off road in this!
Thank you for that!
Make sure a tow truck follows you going off road😂
that rig looks better than some appartments.
Cheaper than some to
Awesome rig and a top bloke
Nice rig!
Simply fabulous!
Thanks for watching, we had a lot of fun filming this!
Very cool build man.

The RV is very cool ! I like it !
nice eric you worked hard
great job, nice work, no sand , fields, rocks, trails, chain saw for trees to big sorry a realist.
great video
nice rig

NICE RIDE!!!

You're rig, sweet as it is makes you a target first, you will never successfully "Bug out" in that. Great off the grid rule of law camper though.

amazing rig
incredible. remember it's great for off-grid livin if needed BUT nothin but NOTHIN says "warehouse" like a horkin big RV to some.
Wow that rig is over the top, he is very intelligent guy.
Yes he is! Thanks for watching this, Eric is very proud of his creation!
Dude that guy put some serious thought into that rig! That thing is cool as shit! I'd love to bug out in that! I got my cdl and could most definitely drive it. I want one! Just need a spot for guns and ammo and I'd say it's good to go! Badass for sure!
Right on!
Great rig
Basically I never want to hear the word basically again, but awesome setup.
man i loved that he thought of everything.
Awesome.......I am so impressed!!!!!!!
that is an amazing build!
Outstanding!
Very cool Camper
looks like a nice hobby
Amazing! All that on wheels. Wonder how much it weights?
It’s a beautiful rig for sure. As a “ bug out vehicle “, NO WAY. Too big,to cumbersome, and too thirsty.
It's pretty awesome, but very limited.
Damn that huge but not off road capable to much. You didn't mention the engine it has.
that's intense....wow
Damn! How many millions did that cost???
Badass!
Great rig but no BOV. It'll only go till you hit the first traffic jam or somebody who really wants it. 2 solar panels won't keep that thing charged, especially back East.
I'm up in Maine.. when the Zombie Apocalypse comes.. pick me up... I have land up north... in the mountains!
Deal. I'm from Maine. C u then
How can I get one of those! Wow!
thats awesome!
And the lights, all went ON, in Massachusetts..
That thing is bad ass
amazing!
wow amazing

It's a really good camper though!
This is so sick!! :OOOOOO
Nice place
brilliant video. Eric does outstanding work. Whats his background? Military?
Thanks! Actually I'm not totally sure about his background....I think a lot of what he can do is self taught from years of tinkering. I'm not sure what else on top of that. he pretty much thought of everything:)
How much did the battery set up cost you?
What were those Solar Panels? Samsung High Output HDI Panels? He said he only had 2. I cant find what they were?
Nice rig! In an emergency situation, how far can that gas guzzler drive after you run out of fuel?
It not Diesel shit I thought I wanted it.
But it is a maunal thought
nice!
Respect for that dude, he is like Elon Musk jr.
What type of truck is this if you don't mind me asking? Please
nice rig! hopefully no EMP...
Very cool rig !! I also live in MA, would love to check this thing out in person. How big was it ? Looks like 30-35 feet
I think it's actually 48!
Where's the bar?

Agreed but we're thinking like regular people and not someone who obviously has lots of money. Great camper but as a BOV I'm unimpressed.

What size is the box?
It's very good
this puts my class c to shame JEEZ
the new li ion batteries from tesla are 5200 amp hours and are the size of one of your deep cycle batteries. look into it
Thanks! I have researched them a bit, and I think they are great but too expensive right now. In about ten years or so, I think they may be more "main stream" which will drive the price way down. At that point they may become worth it. Just my humble opinion.

Lol at this being capable on anything beyond fire service roads, not to mention it stands out like a sore thumb and screams luxury, instant target
Luxury camping and "bugging out" are 2 completely different things. The owner has a bad ass rig though, and the man holding the camera is delusional.
WOW!
👍👍👍
Tim Taylor grunt grunt grunt
lol......MORE POWER!!!!!
A/C from the solar. Am I missing something here?
Inverters convert dc to ac. They are pretty cheap, nowadays. Everyone should have several in my opinion.
Oh yes I am with you now. I thought you were saying the power FROM the solar was A/C, which had me puzzled.
Great Review. How to Describe... All Hits, with No Filler!!!
O.K., VERY Reasonable Filler....
yes, it's very nice.but I can't help thinking he spent at least five times more on that than I'll make the rest of my life on SSI.i can't even afford a car to get to all my different Dr.s appointments.been trying for over two years.makes me want to cry.

Basically!
Are you EMP Protected. if so how?
They aren't. This is a stupid money sink investment. Fuckers should have a homestead in Idaho if they're willing to go this far.
Yep , I agree . The $ he spent wouda got me a shack in Maine
do you have to have a cdl to drive that rig
No, I don't think so.
I would say yes. That truck is rated for over 26,000 GVW and has air brakes. You would need a CDL to drive it.
The rig is not mine, I just shot the video for Eric (the man that built it) so the bottom line is I honestly don't know. It would not surprise me at all if he made major changes to things like brakes, since I know how handy he is with things like that. You are most welcome, thanks for watching!
No mounted anti zombie guns.
Where is the machine gun terrace geez
Shut up and take my money!
wait what listen closely at 4:16 he says new honda man :D
so on that day when it all goes shit. someone will now know you have the perfect bug out shack. and pop you in the head.
