The mini preview when you hover over the thumbnail ruined the Sweet T surprise unfortunately. Great video as always, keep up the great work and best of luck on your UFC belt endeavors!!
Enrolling my son at this school has been the best thing I've done for him so far. He has autism and was very reclusive and unsociable. Stephen is EXCELLENT with kids and my son actually interacts with him, the other instructors, and children. Something he really hasn't done before. Great people with great values.
If your an elite striker with no wrestling or jitsu, you need to have the best takedown defense that you can possibly have. The sport has evolved so much. Everybody is good at everything.
But still a wrestler or jiu Jitsu guy can't strike like a boxer or striker can't be a high skilled jiu Jitsu guy gsp is the best all rounder I have ever seen
@@k__u4598 completely agree. As he says, he is the "most Efficient" he has more tools than his opponents. Khabib is up there, but GSP fought the best on a regular basis. Sure 29-0 looks better, but GSP Avenged his few losses and put that to bed real quicc. 💯✌️
@@thehighcommunity247 gsp was facing everyone that was thrown into his way also he faced almost all types of fighters who most were roided up at the time like johny Hendricks also faced bigger opponents like Mike bisping too sure 29-0 is somewhat impressive but gsp was facing best guys since beginning
@@marcusmvpgoat1236 izzy has way longer arms than the people he fights. If he was not so skinny he would be a light heavyweight same with Jones would be a heavy weight. Vs Jan he could not even handle his boxing and my assumption is because he can not rely on his reach.
You think he doesn’t know how to defend takedowns himself fighters are not giving away anything there opponents don’t know when there doing technique videos just stuff to help people get better like us watching
This is a video on basic takedown defense and you think who was the best fighter in the world at that point doesn’t know the tactics? Some people man 🤦♂️
Hey brother!! I had my MMA debut March 5th and won by knockout in the second round and I based my whole camp off of these videos!! Figured you would like to hear your videos freaking rock!! Give my dude a title shot!! 👊👊
Perfect! I am currently in Fight Camp 4 weeks out as of this comment. My opponent is a former Greco National Champion so I have really been focused on takedown defense. Although I am a 262lb heavyweight I have spent the last 6 years focused on footwork, distance control, angles, and strike variety. You, Wonderboy, are someone I draw heavily from with my striking style. Thank you for making the videos and your timing couldn’t be better on this one. Much love and respect. 👊💪
Very informative. As a striker myself I find myself getting taken down a lot in sparring so most definitely taking this and working on it! Thanks WB and Sweet T.
The undertook is really the preferred control position. So many counters to an over hook.. i love you WB, but I encourage you to spend some time training with DC. It would be the difference you need.
I'm so proud to be born on 11 February the same day and month wonderboy boy and petr yan were born. I hope wonderboy fights for the title soon and wins the belt
I lower my hips aka center of gravity then either strike or elbow the neck repeatedly while using footwork to prevent that but i look forward to your series. Would be interesting if you including a 10 second fight example before or after the lesson plan
training with a former 185 champ brother in law in Weidman definitely helped Wonderboy be prepared and match the physicality of grapplers at 170. I was really looking forward to how he'll be able to negate Kamaru's smothering style.
I got to meet your dad last weekend at the Showcase MMA event. Our fighters were warming up together backstage. Got kinda giddy. We prayed together and we got a picture together. It was cool 😎
Love the content haven’t had the money to train at a gym however your videos have helped me train even better at my home! Thanks and keep up the good work ❤️
As he steps in and has the underhooks just hit em with the left up elbow, basically either the ordinary elbow or and uppercut but uppercut with your elbow. Fight experience.
Be honest....who saw Sweet T before he said anything?! 🤣😂
I thought it was Jon Jones
As soon as you said that you were going to announce somebody, I knew it was going to be Sweet T
Loved the Sweet T intro hahahaha
I thought he was gonna be hanging from above you TBH🤷🏻♀️

That's excellent to hear 🥳🥳🥳
Now when the bullies attack your son can side kick them in the face
That's amazing man, thanks for sharing and here's to you and your fam staying strong!

So glad to hear that! Martial arts can improve life so much!
Kevin Holland watching this stupendously
Clairly this video was made for him
came here to say this lmao
He & Jorge should really watch his stuff but you have to train it with timing.
While talking during the whole vid!
@George Washington 😁
Sweet t entrance was just re creating the incident of Jon jones hiding under cage during usada test 😂😂😂
Glad to hear Sweet T was safe from USADA 🤣😂
Stephen is such a nice guy he even teaches the opponents his tips
Remember when max holloway teach ortega how to block in the middle of the beatdown?
@@greedisbad9890 lol true
lol, he has too many weapons to think about just one.
sweet t had mastered the art of staying so incredibly still he had become invisible

Is that from The movie Beverley hills ninja?! Lmao
Even when eating a Zarg Nut.

Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson vs. Leon "Basic" Edwards....LET'S GOOOOO....
Get this man a belt💪🏾❤️
Was a clean entrance from Sweet T though can't deny that
As a wrestler your techniques really helped
Wonderboy definitely from the south 😂 he said let me get like 75 hunnid likes 😂😂
i would love to see a sparring session between WB and Izzy!
Imagine just hand signs between throwing 1 or 2 shots then each backing up/circling off and having inner monologues or flashbacks to training
The 2 best strikers in the entire UFC. Would be very interesting to watch.

Wonderboy your on fire right now
Im sure Ufc is gonna be forced to give the title to the shot you deserve😎
Could you include in this series some defence against Dana White trying to take down the illegal streams! Thanks for the tips Wonderboy
For that you need to seek Khabib ' The Ill-Eagle streamer' Nurmagomedov. He even streamed in front of Dana
Finally! Wrestling advice! Love this. Thanks WB 🙏
Let's just take a moment to appreciate Sweet T's roll form during his entrance. I mean straight legs, toes pointed, gut out. Incredibly well done.

Wonderboy needs his title shot!!!
TT are THE best! Love ya, WB! 🥰
Can't wait for the rest of the series. Nothing else really like this online anywhere. It's all defending takedowns in a grappling competition context
Conor McGregor should really be paying close attention to this lesson. Thank you both very much for the info and upload. Amazing as always!
Why?
Why? Conor has great td defense, just bad cardio for his high pace
@@botondbakos5954 I was thinking the same thing lol, I think this guy is just trying to hate.
Wonder boy helping the beginners!! Don’t worry Holland I’m sure you’ll improve from watching this!! You and suga still undefeated 💯💯💯
