    The collab turned out great! I have been viewing your channel to get some pointers on cabinet making. You have definitely boosted my confidence for more builds. Can't wait for the next project!

    Great build. I saw Sam's video but I have one question? Why didn't you use the jig guide holes to drill for the hinge mounting screws?

    • @WoodshopDiaries
      @WoodshopDiaries  Год назад

      Thanks so much! That’s a great question…I didn’t want to swap drill bits. I find it quicker and easier to just use a square (or not sometimes) and just drive the screws.

    Curious how these, and your shop cabinets, are holding up since you did not use miters / rabbets as is in most kitchen cabinet builds.

    • @WoodshopDiaries
      @WoodshopDiaries  Год назад

      My shop cabinets are two years old and good as new. The kitchen and closet cabinets in my last house were built the exact same way and we had them for over three years of heavy daily use and they were as good as the first day I built them when we moved out. I’d not hesitate to build my next kitchen or shop-or any cabinets-the exact same way.

    So, this is awkward. I know I haven’t been around that much lately, and I never expected you and Sam to ever meet, so I thought I was in the clear following both of you! But you know what, I won’t let you make me feel guilty…I like you, and I like Sam, and I won’t apologize for either!
    On the real though, it has been a minute, and I know you’ve missed me 😉, but I’m happy to see a video of yours, which is also a video with Sam, and this was a collaboration I didn’t even know I needed in my life until today, but I hope to possibly see more! Hope you have a good weekend Shara, and great build as always!

      You know what? You crossed my mind yesterday and I wondered about you and hoped you were doing okay since I hadn't heard from you in a while. So glad you stopped by to say hi! So me and Sam met probably 5 years ago now! I text her ALL the time and probably annoy the heck out of her often. I'm grateful (and a little surprised) she was willing to put up with me for 3 days to help her build! But I hope this is just one of many future collabs...we'll see!
      I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I'm glad you are doing okay! I hope you have a great weekend!
