I think Millie obviously wanted this role, but Dafne was phenomenal in it and Millie respects that. She posted a picture with Dafne calling her the "coolest girl in town" when they met at an awards show and I also saw a cute video of them hanging out and dancing together. I've seen people try to pit them against each other and to me that's pointless, they both have tremendous potential.
Well, getting into acting is a fierce competition. If you were an actor who wanted to play a superhero in the MCU, imagine getting screen-tested with RDJ or Chris Evans for chemistry with 100's of new actors doing the same thing while only one gets the role. It would be a bummer and it's intense.
I am glad that Millie respects Mangold's choice and Dafne's performance. And it was awesome that they took a picture together and danced at the MTV Awards. One day, I would love to see a film with both of them together. Maybe in the new X-23 film with her as a supporting character, they seem to have good chemistry. Hell, I would like to see her audition tape with Hugh Jackman and see how it differs from Dafne's.

I like Millie she's a great actor so far but Dafne killed the role 120% in Logan. I was mesmerized by her throughout the movie! Dafne all the way! She was incredible to the max!

I would like to see her audition tape to compare both her's and Dafne's. Not because of competition, but it would just be great to see how both actresses differ from one to another. Who knows? There may be a movie with both of them in it.

Being able to speak about a "failed" interview (in that, it resulted in her not getting the part) so comfortably shows how much success she is heading towards. The way she talks about it shows that it wasn't a hindrance for her; it was just another thing she needed to experience.
Kudos to her parents for enabling such a mindset at such a young age. I wish to be that kind of parent for my future child/ren.
Not only speaking about it, but referring to it as her best audition experience. Speaks highly about someone's maturity when they recognize a "failure" as one of their best experiences.

I love seeing this. Such a young actress not only being able to accept not getting a role she wanted, but also applauding the actress that did get the part. We need more of this in the world. I see a very bright future ahead of Millie, she reminds me a lot of a young Julie Andrews.
She would never have gotten the logan role she looks too nice and is more of an emotional actress. dafne keen was amazing and has that amazing angry looks and is ONLY 11 yrs old!
Dafne was freaking awesome in Logan and I'm glad she got the part. I'd really like to see Millie and Hugh Jackman as Ellie and Joel if there's ever a TLOU movie adaptation though.

Hard to see anyone else in the role after Dafne Keen literally SLAYED and stole the whole show. Dafne also has gymnastic experience I heard so that helped in doing some stuntwork and giving a stunning result for the physicality of the character. Millie is a great actress too but I think Dafne was best for that role and clearly proved it.
It would have been awesome if she was one of the mutants kids.

I think that'll be awesome. From 11, she already has acting for that kind of outsider, scared of people, but willing to open those who accept her role just like an xmen. And supernatural powers, she would kill it.
Imo she would be an amazing Shadowcat, but one of the new mutants is also a cool idea.

If I were a movie producer or agent, I wouldn't hire her for the x-23 role not because she won't be able to do it, but because there's a conflict there that could jeopardize her career. It's like asking Gal Gadot to play both Wonder Woman and Catwoman. It's unwise to almost duplicate something when Millie could have more varied choices. She may also get stereotyped in this type of roles that could end up hurting her career down the road. Anyway, she's already made such a huge impact as Eleven in Stranger Things that the Logan role seems less a missed opportunity but just another role that she can afford to miss.
i agree, millie might have just been labelled as a "typecast" actress if this was the case, putting off casting directors looking for more "typical teenage girls" rather than "badass mutants" (which there are definitely less of). with this being said, i highly doubt that if millie did snatch the role of x-23 she wouldn't have even auditioned for the role of eleven, knowing this high possibility of being typecast beforehand.
I loved the girl that portrayed X23, but I always thought how great Millie could have been as X23. I hope they release her audition tape, so we can see what almost was 11 as X23.

I'd love to see what Millie's version of Laura would've looked like. Probably amazing. Playing Eleven she showed an incredible talent for acting almost solely through body language and subtle facial expressions and all of that is crucial for Laura's character. She would've done it justice for sure

The fuck happened to child actors? Films from the 80's and 90's had child actors who were AWFUL. The last like 10 years we've had such powerhouse child actors like Millie and Dafne but more recent ones too.

She showed a lot class by complementing Dafne Keen, but you can tell she believes she would have been better in the role.
Well, Millie is no stranger to hubris. Dafne killed that part and Millie killed hers in ST but somehow i can't imagine her doing that well in Logan tbh. She is a bit stiff and heavy on her doe eyes but real acting needs more.

For some unknown reason I used to talk in a English accent and over the years it’s developed into a Australien accent like I could do the voice and now i sound like an Australien even though I’m American

Why is people hating on Milly, you forgot about eleven already? I loved Dafne as x23, but is just because that's what we know. You can't miss something that you didn't know. And maybe Dafne was a better fit for the role, being half Spanish and her overall performance. But please STOP hating on Milly.

MrFalko0n She was born in Spain, but both of her parents are British, and she can barely speak Spanish. Dafne Keen is half Spanish, as her mother is from Spain, and Dafne was raised up about half of her life in Spain (for what I know), so she has a very fluid Spanish level.
She is fully Spanish not half Spanish since she was born in that part of the world she is as spanish as anyone else born there.

This is really funny to me because when I first saw this movie trailer I thought it was Millie. Daphne did a great job but I do remember when I saw the movie I thought Millie would've been great in that role...had no idea she actually auditioned for it.

While I do think Millie is an amazing actress, I'm not sure she would fit the role like Dafne did, still would've been awesome to see Millie as Laura but I think Dafne is a better overall pick...but please Fox can we get a sequel to Logan with X-23 and Millie plays a mutant and they team up and maybe Millie could be X-11 ;)

When I watched Logan I got the feeling that Dafne could play a character on Stranger things.

1:14 speaking of what she said here, does anyone else think that it's kind of messed up that even a young girl her age knows that if she walked into that audition room without an American accent they wouldn't hire her?? They go looking for diverse or unique people with different accents but when actors come to them with those quirks then it's a big no-no.

Thank god Dafne Keene got the role for Laura X23 because she was born to play that role and Millie Bobby Brown was born to played Eleven instead in Stranger Things on television and their both great actresses. Because I’m glad that Logan had finally ended with Hugh Jackman’s career and went to other things like The Greatest Showman and Music Man on broadway and other films as well.

I love Millie and I def thought of her while watching Logan. I should have assumed she auditioned! But I agree, Dafne was a better fit and had unpredictable silent fury that Millie would have been too tame for.
Lucky for us, they started filming before Stranger things came out, other wise I'm sure she would've gotten the role, and it would've been a way different movie. No thanks. I don't think that Millie could bring the same emotion that Dafne brought.
I don't think when ST came out mattered. Dafne fit better into the world they were writing.
How would it be different? I like Daphne but she's not better than Bobby. They basically played the same character. Both were raised in a lab except Daphne could speak a fluent language.
Captain Dogfucker I feel like she would be too emotional. Don't get me wrong, Laura is emotional and sympathetic at times, but we can't forget that she's Wolverines kid, which means that she's also cold and emotionless when she needs to be. I don't think Millie could do that (or at least not as well as Dafne)

I'm shocked to hear that she auditioned for Laura in Logan. I do however think both Millie Bobby Brown and Dafne Keen should do a movie together. Just gotta make sure that it's the right one, of course.
