not only are they wonderful musicians, they're personally compelling, charismatic - i can't load one of their numbers on youtube and go to another site, i have to stay on youtube and watch them perform all the way through the number. but it's a nice problem to have.
Merci Michel un peu en retard mais depuis tu as adhéré au groupe Facebook et j'espère que tu es satisfait. Il est vrai que je vais beaucoup moins sur RUclips alors que je suis tout le temps sur Facebook.
The more I listen to this band, the better they get. Not to diminish in any way anyone else's playing but I especially enjoyed Craig Flory on the clarinet. Outstanding! And thanks René, for making this video available.
I keep coming back to this .. TS is either especially 'hot' in this session - or particularly happy - or both. They are all 'leaning in' - even Jason Lawrence . Plenty of "jazz pzazz" from Shaye, Barnabus & Craig - great technique and tone. Todd too. And from everyone, still tight and fascinating ensemble play. The close proximity and thoughtful camera angles (from the side) give us clarity of sound and a more intimate sense. Thank you Rene.
Hello Keith, I organized with friends this tour in Europe in 2018 but we did not find an organizer in Great Britain while we searched well and only did Holland, Belgium and France. ruclips.net/p/PLaTjPuCzCq-_CQgbP0ngDBt2cI-P4bfeQ
I haven't read all the comments so apologies if my question had been answered but the first song is Bama mine but does anyone know what tunes 2 and 3 are called please. Brilliant as usual from TS.
4.50 is not 'Thriller Rag'. It's 'Come on and Stomp Stomp Stomp'. 8.07 is 'Variety Stomp'. 11.40 is 'New Orleans Bump'. But why not do as I have to do - compare the tunes with other likely TS performances on RUclips till you find the right one?
I tried that, but I'm not good at it (see "Thriller Rag) I thought I was asking a 'specialist'! Well, I apologize for the request ... so thank you very much for your effort and your time.
Fine. Sorry if I sounded a bit grumpy but it took me a couple of hours to get the answers for you. TS now have a repertoire of over 350 tunes. Only Todd, Barnabus, God and Shaye could immediately give you the title of any tune you wanted. I can easily identify about 60 of their tunes but I have to hunt though their nine albums and previous RUclipss when trying to identify the others. Sometimes it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.
I can understand that well, so thanks again for the effort and your time! But you're not entirely innocent of your worldwide renown as THE "Tuba Skinny Archivist". In very many Tuba Skinny RUclips video comments we can find excellent contributions from you with explicit information on title, musical analysis, recording data, discography, etc. In a post by James Sterling I have recently read analogously "the exact determination of a title you have to leave to Ivan ... ask the specialist" !! ... So: .... ;-) ... Best Regards from Berlin / Germany to the island
The best jazz blues band for me 👍👍

My favorite jazz band! Excellent sounds.
Tuba Skinny has yet to do even one number that I don't like. That is one of the best bands, ever.
I wholeheartedly agree!
One of the best versions of this song they have done. Just love it, love it, love
them. Oh my.
Pure talent
Magnifique son... Les meilleurs...

ERIKA ERIKA.
At their best, I think. Full spirit of the blues. Thanks so much for this. I wonder what he song title and writer is. ? The first one.
Just struck me, that with my regular fix of TS, the quarantine is not such a bad thing.
Belle série... Bravo et merci 😊.
Complète la vidéo de Paul Dunleavy sous un autre angle ..
Their repertoire appears endless. I have yet to hear one that I don’t absolutely love.
When will you come to the UK?
