Yes, darling.
Hi. Please, go somewhere, in the dark with these lights and show us there the differences. Then will be very clear for us wich light to buy. Thx.
I did! It’s about a year ago now but check this old. Video out ruclips.net/video/hhHZ4SOOFT0/видео.html
Nice to see you back in your comfort zone. Your studio/workshop is so much better for video productions than Thailand. Thank you for your excellent productions.
This is an old video. I’ve moved since then. See latest videos.
Finally, a meaningful video describing these lights. Thank you.
Great to have a video to visually compare all the lights.

@@ABIKETHING Thanks for posting the link. Appreciate it.
Such a great product rundown! From you I've discovered the D7s are overkill, and the S4s cannot take an amber lens ..... thumbs up my friend!
Well done...thanks a million for the information on the Denali Series. I've been researching driving lights and your video has given me all the beans I need on what to purchase. I have a 2016 Honda Goldwing and I've settled on the S4's to get that extra projection down the road.
Thank you for putting the video together.
You say the D7s are too bright for running lights. Have you ever done 10% daytime, 0% night time, and 100% High Beam? I already have some S4s installed for 'normal' nighttime added visibility. But looking for something to throw light way down the road.
That's definitely an option which wont cause a reaction from other road users.
Thanks for the overview.......was thinking of a pair of D7's and a pair of DM's for my 2017 KTM 1290 Super Adventure T......but after watching your video thinking of going with the D4's over the D7's........now I'm off to go watch one of your CANsmart videos.
What's a good set up for more visual during the day eg running lights and bright night riding. Do you need 2 sets eg d2 and d 4 or will 1 light can do both. So the daytime mode won't blind anyone.
I've noticed that you're advertising these lights for the BMW bike but can they fit any bike? I have a Yamaha Super Tenere that I would like to add these lights to...Would I need different wiring?
Check this video ruclips.net/video/U_tY7nwAhbk/видео.html
Can the s4 or d4 be mounted in scooters? Like the lambretta or vespa
Good video, thanks. I'm thinkng about a pair of D7s for my GSA. Can you recommend the best mounting set-up for them? I had one of the Denali brackets that mounts underneath the headlight on my last bike but I've seen the articulating bar clamps on the Denali website. I'm favouring these as it means less dismantling etc of the bike to fit. What do you reckon? Cheers!
There;s not alot to dismantle and the D7's on the aux mount looks much better than the crash bar mounts.
@@ABIKETHING cheers. I just found installing the larger bracket was a pain in the arse last time round. Might have to get one anyways.
Hi their
Wondering if you can help please
I have an triumph rocket roadster 2015 and was looking for an upgrade with my head lights and saw some Denali M5 and M7 would you kindly advise me if they would fit with an plug and play or would i need some sort of different wiring set up if this is so would like you to fit them
Do you need a separate relay with the D7 or is it built in ?
We run them thru an ezcan or if it s a bike that hasn’t got a compatible ezcan off the shelf then you’d need to wire via a relay which we also supply.
Confusion: you say the lens on the S4 is not changeable; Denali market the S4 2.0 as a Trioptic LED Light Pod, ie interchangeable lenses for either 4 Spots or 4 floods or hybrid (2 spots + 2 floods). I was planning to order the S4 because I want Trioptic flexibility - please would you clarify? Thanks😉
Have you ever wired these through a thunderbox, I wired my D3’s up the other day and got nothing, watching Denali videos I have to purchase loads of extra wiring. I paid £322 and didn’t get a wiring harness
Hi, no not personally but I did hear from a customer that he had some issue via the thunder box when installing a dial dim through but the issues disappeared when he wired the dial dim direct to the battery.
Are Denali D4 capable to maintain cruising speed 80 to 90 MPH on dark pitch highways with its spot light or it will need extra spot light to add to make that cruising speed safe?
Khushwant Singh I’m unsure of what you mean. Are you asking if they will still keep working or if they’ll falll off? The answer to both questions is yes they’ll be fine and work and stay on the bike up to speeds the bike is capable of
@@ABIKETHING I want to know if D4 has enough strong spot beam to ride a bike at the speed or 90 Mph with good visibility for long distance ahead
@@ABIKETHING at the high speed while driving in night it needs to spot object on the road from very far to act on right time so we need a spot light which can help to see the things on highway from a long distance so Denali D4 has long distance range or it needs to add extra spot lights
Which lights can replace the stock flood lights on a 2015 GSA 1200 without a special harness? I want to mount a more powerful light to the stock location on the crash bars
Will any Denali lights help solve the black spot on the inside on a corner while leaning? If so, how?
What black spot? All I see is an abundance of light everywhere 😁
@@ABIKETHING I have seen several videos of Denali lights and from what I see the Denali lights contribute to lessen the problem, but it doesn't solve it.
The problem is quite clear on this video (ruclips.net/video/LdyNdlw8zaA/видео.html) and so is the quite clever solution BMW came up with... although 9 years on it's still not available on the GS. I simply don't ride my bike in the dark anymore because of this. It's bloody dangerous not to be able to see where you are going.
On open curves it's ok, as the bike is not too leaned over; however on sharp turns it impossible to see where you are going.
On this video of yours the problem I mentioned before is also quite clear (ruclips.net/video/hhHZ4SOOFT0/видео.html) there is not a hint of your motorbike's light on the kerb.
@@marcoscastro9321 couple of things to point out.....they’re not adaptive so they will not turn the corner for you. The video never captures what is really happening. At night time. It only pulls in all that bright light right in front of the bike but doesn’t show all the extra areas that are lit up for the rider to see. Anyone who’s got denali lights and has video’d their ride will agree with me. If you’re choosing lights with a flood light pattern like the d4 with its hybrid lens well these light just project all over the road down in front and beside your bike as well as up ahead down the road. The fact is it gives you confidence to increase you’re speed during night rides. However if this really concerned you maybe look at a little T3 to fit low down on the side of the bike. This would resolve the issue and help you be seen more during the day from the side.
on the D7 can I wire them into the stock lights ??
No one talks about how to wire/run these lights on road. In some states it is illegal to run these on when headlights are low beam. Seen some being used turned on when lights are low beam or high beam blinding on coming traffic.
Thanks much Steve. Hope your parents are home and safe. I have a 2019 GSA. Could I just swap out the OEM auxiliary lights for a pair of D4s? I don’t want to install the Cansmart Controller.
Absolutely. If you don’t want the cansmart you’d need to buy them in kit form and not single pods.
This is going to sound strange but, I have an aprilia tuareg. I purchased it for £250 and it had no fairing, standard tank or headlight unit. We have had to botch it together to get it on the road. It's very unique... anyway. I have a trial tech x2. I purchased a kit that installs these cheap led light for headlight and side light because the original halogens are... crap. They are pretty crap as well to be honest but better than the halogen. The DR1 would fit perfectly in the headlight hole. Would the Dr1 work well as a headlight? I do have various of aux lights on my barkbusters and lower forks for extra spread. Mounting and wiring is no issue. Everything is home made on the bike anyway lol. The spec of the led light as my headlight is 500ft at 1.8amps, don't know the lumens. It is a far upgrade to the original x2 halogens but... i need more distance.
Hi, I have a Honda vfr800f 2017. THE roads were I drive, there's no strret light. So i want to install an extra lightning, but i am afrrad of amps consuming and the risk of burning some bike circuits. Any tips. Thanks
You need to buy it in a kit form. What lights do you like? S4’s? D2’s?
S4
Very good video. & I've learned a bit. You mention S4 are best mounted upright instead of hanging pendant style. If mounted pendant style would the beam pattern out front be wrong or bad, or what do you think? Really like the size and style of the S4 but looks like I'd have to go with D4 instead as I want to hang them on my Crf1100's touratech upper crash bars.
You can hang or stand the S4’s.
2 questions:
1) If I want to use just one set of light, which one should I pick? Usually for day conspucuity, occasionally night riding...
2) Any mounting option for Suzuki V-strom 650 (2017-on)?
Thanks and ride safe.
D4 is always the safe bet for best all round lights. I'm assuming you have a V Strom XT variation is its 2017? They don't do a mount for any of the XT's as of yet. But if you have any crash bars on your bike you can use the 22mm to 28mm crash bar mounts.
Yes they do....I have this Bar on my 2020 650 VStrom...it bolts under the beak and comes out to mount a light each side.... www.cosmo-accessories.com/brands-2/suzuki/dl-650-v-strom-2017/fog-light-bracket-129-detail
Can you offer the kit to fit the Africa twin DTC 1100 L for the Denali D4 ?
Great video, really helpful and informative. Cheers
Hi, I saw your GSA behind fitted with D4 and D7. I am using Cansmart 2.0 but used the circuit 1 to D4 and circuit 2 to DR2 where you said before because circuit 2 can accomodate 4A of power while circuit 1 25A. How do you connect your D4 to circuit 2 while D7 to circuit 1? Thanks.
First of all my cansmart is gen2 which has 4 equal circuits. If you have a gen1 cansmart you have to limit the intensity of the 2nd circuit if your lights exceed 4amps
Can the s4's be plugged straight into the 3pin socket on a multistrada?
Cheers Steve. Good clear info as usual.
I like the S4. I think they will be great to replace the cheap fog lights I got. Might have to add a d4 and bar into the mix if I start riding to work.
Hi Steve why would I want to pay all that money for these when I have just brought two with a wiring loom for £36 on Ebay. 🤨. I think I know I now know the answer to that actually after watching , apart from the sound, your great video. 😉. Only realised I need better lighting when I rode my GS back in the dark after it had been repaired. So my question to you Steve is what one of these would give me better lighting on the few occasions I do venture out on my bike at night. Like most of us I guess money is limited as. I will also have to buy a Hex ezcan for my 08 GS 😕. As for the Ebay lights even though my wife has just accused e of being a poseur at the age of 69 until I can afford the Denali lights they will be the equivalent of those houses that have an alarm box on the wall but have no alarm 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sadly Steve loos like we ae going back into Lock Down so stay safe.
Great video just subscribed. I am looking for lights for a 2016 XR just wondering what you would recommend. Would love the S4's but thinking they might look bulky on the XR. Other than that maybe the D2's. Would appreciate your advise and where you would mount them. Thanks in advance.
Finally I understand Denali lights 🙈😂 great video, hopefully getting a xr in a week and will be looking at some extra lights, will contact you if I get the bike 👍
Buy the bike! 👍
@@ABIKETHING picking it up Friday or pos Saturday 😜🍺
f900xr? Got mine 2 weeks ago and looking to add S4s
Hi, can I use them on my Yamaha xj900 division 2004
Hi. It would be super helpful if you could do a video of the s4 in the night. I am interested in them or the baja squadrons and i am finding it difficult to find a good video of the s4 . I hope you can help me out ! :)
More videos like this coming soon
Great video. I have been waiting for a 790 Adventure Denali light mount to be in stock (in the US) for MONTHS. I have the D4s and ezCAN on my GS.
Steve C 790? KTM?
Can you work USA customers and ship to the USA?
absolutely. I sell and ship to USA every day.
Hey! your videos are really helpful and you present in an awesome way I just enjoy it, I am wondering is there any possibility to have a strobe effect, I know the cansmart and the switches don't have such option but maybe you have different thoughts :)
Amro Ali I believe that the software (shared with Hex Eazycan) allows strobe effect upon hitting high beam button three times.
Are the Denali lights all interchangeable in terms of plugs etc? i have a set of D2’s at the moment
Yes mate. 3 wire 2.0 datadim
A BIKE THING Goodo. I’ve lost my spot filters and an upgrade is a good excuse lol
Hi.. I wanted to know which of the Denali would be good on the bike if you'r doing cross country and through pitch dark forest.
So you’re looking for something to help you the rider to see as much as possible so the D7 is the best possible option. If you want to double it up with another light and get even more power then you could add S4’s or D4’s.
That's really informative, thanks
thanks for very instructional video really good , I have a question I have a BMW R1200 GSA LC 2016 A FRIEND OF MY gave me a pair Denali DR1 I think is an early generation they came with 2 wire is not datedim and I would like to install them with the original switch one of the original fog light is gone but I found out that the original come with 4 wires and the denali are just with 2 wires can you help me out on how is the wiring cus I can not do it thanks much for your help I am from Guatemala Central america
Hope your safe home
You’ve got some old lights there. Can still be fitted but you need to amend software to tell it it’s 2 wire dimming instead of 3 wire dimming.
ok thanks but what I need is to replace the old OEM fog light fitted on the crash bar and install the DR1 but the problem I am facing is that the original OEM are with 4 wire and the DR1 only 2 wire the other thing is that I want to use the original OEM switch installed under the mirror support on the LH side on the handlebar, one more thing is that went I turn on the OEM light is indicating on the front , I would like to use the same OEM system but with the Denali DR1
Thanks much in advance
Stay safe .
FYI - Website confirms that the D7 is 15330 lumens per kit, not per light
Are the Denalis dimable lights or are they just low and high beam?
They are dimmable, but you need to order a separate dimming module which connects to your high beam for full power/dim
I like GS Driver.....looks like they only drive at night. Good for me so the roads at daylight are free from those chrismas trees
great audio....
Appreciate the content.
As another RUclipsr and editor, a quick suggestion when you find audio problems.
Before you pack up your shoot, take a moment to shoot 20-30 seconds of each light up close. You can pan around them, slowly move in on them, etc, but nothing special. Just make sure it's in focus.
If your audio is perfect, you can just use the b-roll to cut in on the detailed looks while you're talking about each one. This will make your video easier to watch, as it gives us something different to look at.
But in your case, during editing, you discovered that some of your audio was bad. At that point you could simply slide a mic over, and re-record the dialog that was messed up, and then play the b-roll over top of it so you don't have to worry about syncing it up with your lips.
I enjoyed the video, and appreciate the info! Keep at it.
Appreciate the pointers. To be fair, since this was recorded I’ve done a fair few more videos where you can see more B roll content. Check this one out ruclips.net/video/U_tY7nwAhbk/видео.html. Can only get better right?! 😉
@@ABIKETHING Didn't notice how old this video was. :) Again, great content. If I didn't love it, I'd never bother leaving a comment. :) Keep up the great work!
Thank you have been looking at which lights to install on my 850 GS, this helps a lot.
Hi Steve, which lights would be most suitable for me? I'm looking for a set of lights that will add some brightness along with my headlights but the current ones I have are far too bright. I currently have a set of rigid lights, but when I turn them on I get flashed from passing drivers. I'm considering the d2 or s4?
Are you still in business? I have emailed you twice from your website with no responses. I have a D7 troubleshooting question.
Absolutely. Overwhelmed with current sales and email enquires. Will be spending my weekend catching up on emails from this week. Direct email is steve@abikething.com
One reason to get the D4's over the S4's is the front lens is replaceable on the D4s.
Do you have to buy amber lenses separately for the DM ?
StarLord Netzero yes.
Hiya mate, so enjoy watching your vids albeit I do like the GS, but unfortunately it’s not the right bike for me....but can you fit the items you sell to any particular bike i.e. Triumph Tiger 800 / Ducati Multistrada 950S?
Darryll W in this instance Denali do a lighting kit which doesn’t need a cansmart. As long in g as you have a 12v supply and an ignition it’s compatible. I have these on my website too
A BIKE THING ok brilliant, thank you for the response, much appreciated.
Can you supply for Harley Touring models.
A salesman who doesnt answer.... 😬
Btw Denali sound mini bomb comes with 2 speakers or 1? I mean its sound is heavy in base or not ?
Aaraf Vlogs have you seen my horn video? It’s just the one bellow/speaker
Get you about the cracks...lol
Same here mate... Cheers..
1:01 Hmmm, I can't help but notice a sly little edit right before you start explaining about your wife lol. Did you need to get your words right?
Possibly 👍😂
Thank you!!!
Are D4 enough for any road conditions ?
D4’s are the perfect all rounder.
Does anyone care about packaging? As long as the product isn't damaged because of the packaging. It's just something you throw away.
Informative but sort the audio out. Too much distortion
Paul Purewal I did address this at the beginning of the video and applied sub titles. it couldn’t be rectified post edit.
👍👍 you need to put you r micro more on front of you r chest .... because when you r head move to the micro, on you r left side head , you r skin block the micro....
Get on with it.
Do you have an S4, DM, Horn, Tail light bundle for a 2019 1250GS with SW Motech bars?
Absolutely! It’s not on the site but email me and I’ll give you a discounted bundle price.

Your sound is horrible??
Made in china ?
Dude, We Are Not Interested In The Packing, AT ALL.
Anything you can eliminate to make this video more concise would be appreciated.
Besides the excessive length, good vid. Thank you 👍
R u speaking for the masses? Also check the most recent video showing newer pods. This one here is quite old now
What a turn off. You are telling us that you are an authority on this technology, but you can't work your mic without it dropping out. You also make it clear from the start that Denali will tell you what to up-sell so you appear to be bias in favor of what you have been told to sell. Maybe that's why your "Dead of the Night" review so obviously favored the D7s. Finally, anyone that waxes lyrical about packaging just degrades their trust level in my book.
