  • Hello! Today I give my Triple Play Frame’s frame stamp a workout and a brand new look using the omission technique: inking up just a portion of the frame to create this wonderful open space you can fill with any stamped images, greetings or embellishments you choose! And like all my frames, this new open frame you create gives you FOUR new sketches for your landscape and portrait style cards. A quick and easy way to add structure and style to your designs, this is fabulous for framing up any of the flowers in my Stately Flowers series. Here I demonstrate it with the dogwood from Stately Flowers 10, and share simple coloring with colored pencils. (Magnolia in my other sample is from Stately Flowers 3) So many possibilities for rocking this “new” frame! Please enjoy!
Note: My son mixed up some of my pencils, ack! I realized after recording the 111 brown is from the Marine collection, but the Essentials collection does contain other browns. No need to get both!

I like the landscape better...especially the way you suggested "wrapping" the image over onto the back of the card. Thanks for sharing!

The border would also look good in a dark brown in place of the white, or green. Lots of possibilities. Thanks for giving us a great stamp to work with,

The dogwood landscape one makes me think of a trellis of flowers, it would be fun to fill out for the trellis effect be very time consuming though... very pretty cards.

Thank you flower for a lovely video and as for preference i like both styles as they both look beautiful but different with the varying looks. I too think that you need another glass of wine to even up the look, although it is a waste of good wine, lol. I'm glad you're feeling a bitty better flower and long may it continue and you get some relief for your hands as it so downing not to be able to do what you love doing best because your hands are hurting so much. Have a good day flower, love from Scotland x

Re: The spilt wine--On the magnolia card, it already looks like shadows from that bottom flower. Looks good! :D I think your idea of adding a wash is a perfect solution for saving the cards. I really like the cards and I bought your frame cards with the intentions of omitting some of the parts of the original frames like you did. It looks good. I try to buy stamps that have possibilities beyond what is already there. It's fun to do.

Beautiful Card! Love it. Glad your hands are feeling better. I noticed a nasty bruise on your right arm though. Ouch! That had to hurt! Be careful Dear Lady. I myself fell today and landed on my shins and the top of my feet. Talk about Ouch! Thought I was in trouble, but I'm ok.
