    Never heard the AT fluid trick! Crazy! I think part of the intimidation is the time it takes to setup the power washer, etc. If you’re garage is setup where everything is super accessible, definitely no problem. I have some stuff buried (mostly woodworking stuff!), so whenever I pull out the pressure washer to do something I go around and collect things to be washed haha. I even asked my neighbor if he wanted to hose off his tow-behind aerator today! He didn’t… but that’s when those things are 5 minute jobs, when the power and water are all connected already!

    I find buying a new mower and having it remain at the repair shop all summer while I use their loaner… really keeps mine looking brand spanking new!!

    Should do a video on winterizing your power washer. I'm dropping in on my favorite channel, my man. Just power washed undercarriage of my Honda HRX 217HYA after 2 years, lol I used to detail her after every mow 😂

    Great video JB. I went to move my push mower the other day and noticed that the wheels are barely turning. I may need to remove them and clean them up. I see a new video idea for your channel to help you get some more subscribers.

    An small electrical power washer, foam cannon, and cheap tire foam. Works great and tire foam make the next several clean ups easier.

    Hi JB This is the mower that will last forever that I mentioned before its a keeper for sure these will never rust it looks like new the John Deere with the Kawasaki Engine, these a bulletproof, keep up the great work. This proticular mower is the JX75, also you need the mulch plug if you mulch your grass.

    Good tip on washing the bag. I will try that. I still haven’t found an effective way of cleaning it he bag. Do you rinse just the outside or the inside too?

      I pressure wash from the outside first so as not to push more dirt and debris into the fabric...

      Hey LL! You can spray the inside but I only do it if it’s really dirty. Usually rinsing the outside tends to a good enough job loosening up what’s inside to run out. Thanks for watching

    I use regular car wash soap in IK foamer. Foam it up and start washing. Im kinda paranoid and I cover the engine with a plastic bag, am I too paranoid for that?

    On my ZT I use automotive Spray detailer or a Spray wax after a good clean.

    Bro if your going to clean the mower you atleast have to take the engine cover off and clean the cooling fins. This is where it will matter the most. Everything else is cosmetic besides some rust preventing on the deck.
    You should also clean your cooling fins on your weed eater and blower every season.

    Wow...that John Deere JX75 looks great! That's one of the best mowers ever built. I had a JX 85 (the commercial version) about 25 years ago and loved owning it. They left a great cut and that Kawasaki FC150 engine was wicked. It knew just when to give you that extra torque you needed in heavy grass. Great find.

    Once done cleaning, you should remove the wheels and add grease to the axles. You'll probably need to clean the axles as well. Since most push mowers do not have bearings, I grease my axles about every 3rd mow, same with sharpening the blade.

    WD40 makes for a decent spit shine on plastic too. Also can dissolve some dirt, and force out water.

    I seen my neighbor trying to change his lawn tractor blades the other day. I noticed the old blades had the ends (the sharp part) broke off. He said there was a strip of grass left no mowed when he made a pass? DUH! He never sharpens his blades, EVER!! Just replaces them. You can't fix stupid.

    I never thought of using my leaf blower on my mower. Have used it on my car! I clean bottem deck first then the top. I also don't cover my engine because I dont saturate it with water. I unfortunately don't have a pressure washer.😢 Great advice! 👍

      You could use fluid film when you’re going to store the unit away for winter! I use ATF more often because it’s cheap and doesn’t collect dust as easily throughout the season! Have a good rest of the week Brandon!

      @@brandon_burbach I use ATF mainly to shine things up. It provides very little protection. When more protection is needed I turn to fluid film. Fluid film I use a lot on snowblowers. 👍👍

    What a great tip to use ATF oil before winter storage of the mower! 👍 I have one old lawn tractor, one almost new lawn tractor and two old snow blowers i will do this to in a short time! Do you have other great tip for shining plastic parts?

      @@GarageGear Ok thanks for quick answer! 👍😃 I was just curious if you had some other alternatives to the ATF oil. Not that i think the ATF oil dont shine it up or something because i see in your video that it works pretty good on black plastic parts! 👍 Here where i live in Norway we dont have much Armorall products but we have something called Owatrol Polytrol that makes faded black plastic parts look like brand new again and it lasts for many years, i have used WD40 earlier on black plastic parts but in my opinion it not lasts long enough but it works for a quick and easy shine.

    Also a blast from the resent past.DRAKE LAWN AND GARDEN EQUIPMENT. Just went out of business.
    However they are now A LAND PRO DEALER.
    Just another local solid family business bought out by big business.

    Good video; however, I'm afraid I have to disagree that putting a garbage bag over the engine is needed. If the air filter cover is in place, you will not harm the engine by pressure washing it.
