gt85 has better lubrication properties than WD40 and both cheap.GT 85 will give better anti corrosion than wd40 .An oily rag works well also. Thanks for all your lawn vids and look forward to lots more in the new year.
Good idea to empty fuel out and replace with ethanol-free fuel and run five minutes or so, prevents carb from gumming up and will ensure start on first pull
Hiya Dan just want to say thanks for all the videos you do they are a godsend to us amateurs keep them coming next season Have a very happy Christmas to you and the family Stay safe
Dan thanks for the video. I clean mover mid season and at the end with TFR. I usually cover the engine with a plastic bag when jet washing. I also clean the bottom deck and spray with etched primer then either Rad enamel or stone chip paint . Before first use a spray silicone spay which seems to stop the grass sticking on the deck for the first few cuts . Have a great Christmas and wish you a great 2023
Hello Dan Great vids in 2022, look forward to the next ones. Keep up the good job and giving advise. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Greetings from Denmark
Very helpful video, thanks for the motivation to get mine done in the New Year, mine is a battery powered Hayter ( amateur version ! ) I take it that the wash connector on the top of the deck is not much use ? I am. waiting for few days dry weather to put down your products I purchased a couple of months ago but the lawn looks the best it has done at this time of year. Hope you have a good holiday and look forward to learning more from you in 2023.
Did the Allett get the same treatment?. Thank you for all your help, this year I managed to create an almost perfect lawn. Happy Xmas and happy new year. Looking forward to next years videos. 🎄🎅👍
Nice video Danny thanks. When you run out of Autoglym snow foam try Bilt Hamber Autofoam, it's a great cleaner and their Surfex HD all purpose cleaner. Merry Christmas 🎄
Happy Christmas dude. Thanks for all the advice and products through out this season. It’s my first real lawn and new home and garden. Also. Why does the hayter have a hose connection behind the engine? Or at least it looked like a hose connection. Why and what’s that for ? Merry Christmas pal.
Merry Christmas Dan. I notice when you seed a new lawn you don’t cover the seed with compost the same as you do for an overseed. What’s the reason for this? Thanks
Thanks mate, l keep learning from you so thanks for sharing your knowledge. Do you sharpen your blades or from a commercial perspective it’s easy to buy new when needed
Protip: don't jet your electric rotary, it doesn't work so well. I suppose that's one of the issues with the new commercial battery mowers like the one you were playing with a few months back, you can't really jet them which makes this sort of maintenance a little more work.
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert ever ;) But yeah, it's an interesting thing though - they'd have to be IPx6 to stand up to a jet wash and I doubt they ever will be. Just occurred to me during this, if the industry wants to go that way it could get entertaining.
Its not its a shared area at the back of my garden but even that has no grass its too shaded with high fences to grow grass and i need the area for storage
I used to use auto glym polar blast. Moved over to bilt hamber touch-less now and haven’t looked back. Might be worth checking out for your detailing
Just started my annual leave today and what a great surprise to wake up to a new Danny vid!! Spot on
Hi Dan. Happy Christmas mate. See you in 2023 ! Chris
Happy new year to the #1 player hater - DH. He hates so hard, he takes the ‘y’ out of words that don’t respect him.
Always hustling. Love it.
Never thought of cleaning the bag for better suction this is kool I'll try this Dan
Thanks for all your tips and vids this year Dan. Have a great Christmas and a Guid Hogmanay.

Good knowledge
@@BrettSucks i said that in the video, please do me the solid of watching a vid all the way through if going to troll
Great job with the Hayter Dan. I’m into my car detailing, and as from tomorrow it’s mower detailing also👍👍
Gladyou enjoyed it
Nice job. I was half expecting you to put fall out spray on it to remove the iron particles 😊
Good idea to empty fuel out and replace with ethanol-free fuel and run five minutes or so, prevents carb from gumming up and will ensure start on first pull
Your better off putting fuel stabiliser or leve the tank empty even ethanol free petrol will go bad over the winter

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year thanks for the videos throughout the year
Thanks same to you
Brilliant video and great information 👍👍👍👍👍
Cheerz thomas i enjoyed making this one
Another great year of content Dan. Autoglym Magma will get rid of the iron - makes it bleed red and you can then just rinse off
Good knowledge to have cheerz, hapy xmas

Great vid Dan, very informative. Wishing you the very best for the festive period. 🎉
No ill be doing afew vids before feb!
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert Wahey! Great work! 👏👏
Dan, will you be buying the grooved front roller for the Allett? Makes sense, but fairly expensive!
@@Bassbaby838 no chance they not good for lawns results in very uneven cut

No the alletts end of life so wont be using that next year
You forgot the ceramic wax coating Danny. Great video 👍🏻
Thought about it but oiling much better
Do you drain the fuel out at the end of the season or use fuel stabiliser?
Thought you would of got the clay bar on it
😄
Hiya do you do any car detailing vids? Thanks
I did but it didnt do well so unless you saw it before it got deleted by me then you have missed out
Nice video Danny thanks. When you run out of Autoglym snow foam try Bilt Hamber Autofoam, it's a great cleaner and their Surfex HD all purpose cleaner. Merry Christmas 🎄
Will do , merry xmas
Really enjoyed your videos this year Dan, just wish my lawn could get half as good as the ones you do! Merry Christmas
It is achievable just need to commit to it
Merry xmas
Never knew you were into car / van cleaning Danny
Snow foam

Stubby handle on ya pressure washer
Detailing brushes.

Man thing lawns n waxing cars
oreet Dan you shamed me into doing mine lol
what did you mean by "Spray the differential so it doesn't rot away"?
Happy Christmas dude.

To clean it but its useless
To clean under the deck with hose power but its just a whistle n bell
Have a good n
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert you too dude. Have a lush break for a few weeks.
Nice detailing cleaning vdo here…looks like new!! Take it have to be more careful if cleaning a cordless mower…ie jet washing??
Hhmm
Good question not sure tbh they must be watertight?
Auto smart g101 is a great cleaner to.
Will lookinto that used prestige but thats not great
Also I wonder if iron out will remove the iron stains?
@@davefrancis7213 i have some of that tried it on my iron stains on the patio n it turns purple but stains remain
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert worth a try I suppose
You've lost your knob🤣 just saying 👏👏🍻
I dont know where it went
Merry Christmas Dan. I notice when you seed a new lawn you don’t cover the seed with compost the same as you do for an overseed. What’s the reason for this? Thanks
The seed is mixed in as its new where as an established lawn you cant bury the seed as its firm already with existing grass
Understood, cheers Dan
How was your air filter after this very dry dusty summer.
Clean as mate
Thanks mate, l keep learning from you so thanks for sharing your knowledge. Do you sharpen your blades or from a commercial perspective it’s easy to buy new when needed
I just buy a new one as havent got the skills to sharpen
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert fair one, I bought a Chinese copy of the all American sharpener, this deskills the task, maybe worth a coat of looking at.
Does the process differ on petrol cylinder mowers?
No pretty much the same id say
What hayter model is this?
Harrier 48 pro
I find it's best to use the wife's tooth brush for such tasks.
How about some car detailing tips until the grass starts growing?
Yes was thinking about that so might do now keep my out of trouble

I can see some swirls/holograms on that mower.
Well ill leave it out for you and you can bring your stuff n buff um out
What about the allett?
That is end of life
Merry christmas😂
My petrol mower is 20 years old. Never changed oil or filter. Never cleaned it either. I'm ashamed!
Isn't it a bad idea to lay mower over with oil in?
If tipped with air filter in the air no its fine
you were joking about that toothbruch ?? lol
Never noticed
My pearly whites? Lol
The Water is not so good for the Mower😎
Danny, your leaf blower’s getting soaked. Man…..
Its well old needs a wash
Is that your back yard Dan? Ironic that you don't have one patch of grass 😀
Its not its a shared area at the back of my garden but even that has no grass its too shaded with high fences to grow grass and i need the area for storage
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert Guess you wouldn't get time to sort out your own lawn in any case 😉
@@shauntoole1553 i hope one day to live in a house with a flat back garden but not yet
You paid someone to change oil and a plug
Use um or lose um , plus cant empty the oil on my own and dispose of properly so pays to get Kev to do it
That’s not a winter service that’s just giving your mower a clean and talking aload of rubbish
Bit like your message then
