People tend to put doctors on a pedestal, but the reality is that doctors are not different from people in other occupations. There are kind and evil people in every job. Just because you're a doctor, it doesn't mean you're a caring and kind person. In fact, i wouldn't be surprised if that profession attracted the most egomanic people because of the amount of money and prestige associated with it.
Naturally Micc Sadly you are right !! They should teach people manners and examen them before teaching them medicine Not anyone should have such a job because patients already have enough to deal with !!
This kind of thing happens far too often. So many people being treated like “drug seekers” by doctors. I witnessed this happen to a friend several times by different doctors. He got to the point where he would be sure to bring his prescribed pain medications with him to the hospital and to all doctors appointments to prove he wasn’t there for “drugs”. This treatment also happens quite frequently by pharmacists. It’s totally uncalled for. I’m sure they see plenty of patients that are seeking medications, but not every patient is. And even the ones who are shouldn’t be treated like garbage. They obviously need help. I was under the impression that’s what doctors were for…help.
This isn't anything new. I was an EMT years ago, and i couldn't believe how nurses and medical Drs treated patients with such disrespect. It was mostly towards patients that were frequent visitors that we would bring in. I remember one male nurse was mimicking a homeless guy we used to frequently bring in because he talked funny. I looked around and all the staff had a smirk on their face, but the patient didn't realize it. I was disgusted by the lack of professionalism from everyone. They clearly didn't care about this guy. He ended up passing a year later due to health problems. Another instance I still remember to this day... I hadn't finished my EMT course yet, but one of the requirements was we had to spend two 12 hour shifts in the ER. One of the days, a concerned couple came in because their toddler had gotten underneath the sink where all the cleaning supplies were, and had somehow chewed on one of those toilet cakes that you put in the top of your toilet that cleans everytime you flush. I was sitting behind the desk with all the nurses, and all they were doing was bashing the parents hardcore how they could just "let" their child get a hold of cleaning supplies. Personally being behind the scenes, it's insane the things they say about their patients.
@@heaven_bound_94xo Your guess is absolutely wrong. I have plenty of times. I've taken it up plenty of times with the boss about unprofessional conduct within the work group. @@sexygirlmax2019 guess I have to reply to this one too. If you view my other reply to the other cool guy, you will read that I have. Plenty of times. Nothing was done about it, and all it did was cause me problems. I was probably the only one out of around 10-12 EMTs and Paramedics that told my boss I don't like the way these patients are being treated. They should absolutely be taken more seriously, even if they come in frequently. I'll repeat, nothing changed. I still had to witness the same toxic nurses every week. So I eventually quit. I did my part. Just because I didn't post it, didn't mean I just stood by. I hate bullies. Thank you also for the assumption as well
What’s upsetting to me about this story (among countless other things) is that he suffered from a panic attack and was treated like a drug seeker. Sure, once the attack is over it’s almost something to look back on and laugh and say “glad it was nothing”. But for some people they develop serious repeat attacks and become disordered. They’re debilitating. Panic attacks are something every doctor should take seriously because on arrival to the hospital you HAVE to rule out heart attacks, stroke and embolism. Then you treat the panic attack and refer the patient to a mental health specialist. Panic attacks aren’t a joke, they’re a real and scary condition that can ruin peoples lives if left untreated and disregarded as nothing.
My doctor did this to me when I was having severe urinary pain. I went to the hospital instead and turned out I have polycystic kidney disease, which is a progressive genetic disease that causes completely kidney failure. She ended up having to move across the country bc of it.
A nurse told my brother that "there are sicker babies in this hospital than your son". An hour later, my nephew was dead. He was 8 months old. So hearing that woman say that he was not the sickest in that hospital, made me sick.
@@RoseTintedPath Thank you so much. Sadly, no. The nurse did apologise, she actually showed up at my brothers house to say sorry. But she was not punished. This was in 2010.

Been there. I had COVID symptoms but no covid. I asked the doctor before COVID was a thing what would you say the problem is since I’m clearly not well and this is clearly not covid. She just looked at me and shrugged her shoulders and said that she would say that “I was perfectly fine”. The next day or two I had to rush to the hospital where they found out I had some kind of infection that began spreading to my brain and damn near killed me. I told her what happened at the urgent care and she said she was calling someone right away because if she would have drawn blood then they could have detected earlier and prevented it from spreading as far as it did. Just because they’re doctors means they care about you. They are in it for money like everyone else

I actually like those people. Too often my assignments are online. So regardless if you tell the teacher or not you still have to do it. If anything the" doctor" reminds me of that teacher that if you ask to go to the bathroom and they respond "I don't know, CAN you?"
It's not much better in England. Do you fucking genuinely think people just decide to do it because they're bored and WANT to live that lifestyle? As opposed to avoiding chronic pain or psychological trauma and complex PTSD and/or other mental health conditions? You're delusional. They're still in pain and still deserve respect and treatment from their doctors. Shocker, but homeless people deserve to eat and have a warm roof over their head too. So do people that have committed nonviolent crimes. Thinking people should be stripped of their human rights and LIFE because they made an actual mistake/stumbled in their life, is NOTTTT the hill you want to die on babes.

I had a similar experience with a nurse. I don’t know if you have ever had something rupture inside your body but for me I imagine it feels like being shot. My lips were blue and it was so painful I couldn’t stop crying and yelling out. A nurse told me my god it can’t hurt that bad calm down, there was no calming down
Wow. She should loose her licence, this has made me so mad. You do not treat a patient like this what so ever, They pay your wages. Especially waiting in the E. R. For 3 hours come on doctor, he could not even inhale, she did not believe him.
Hospitals don't care about anything but money and it pisses me off. Idk how many times I've put in complaints and administration is like 'just learn to get along 🤷♀️'
Man this is scary, I've personally been going in & out for back surgery's in Portland Oregon. I have stayed 2 months+ 4weeks. I only had one Nurse be a problem that is until I called her out on how she was acting. She changed after I did that but man she was very pushy rude long story short I was glad my speaking up fixed the situation before it turned into similar situation
As someone who’s had panic attacks, a good description of what it feels like is that feeling you get in your stomach when you miss a step on the stairs, but constant.
Remember a nurse accusing me of wasting time when l got to the hospital at midnight with chest pains, she definitely got a piece of mind, she couldn't have cared less!
Anyone who's been abused by a doctor when you're in a vulnerable situation knows how much this actually hurts. You feel so small and ridiculous and even you start to invalidate your pain and sickness afterwards.
And? If you're not cut out to be a doctor and care about the welfare of your patients, don't be one. She seems like she has issues that she needs to work out on her own.
None of you people complaining have ever worked in healthcare. ERs are chronically understaffed and overfilled with crazy wait times. Patients with psych issues and not actual cardiac arrest or stroke are quite literally wasting valuable time and money. This dr is clearly frustrated and lost her cool, but think of the actual dying/critical patients who are waiting for the bed this perfectly healthy young man is taking up. Get a grip people.
Absoulelty! She should not have been fired. He was completly fine and was talking great, even Dr Mike on YTube agreed he was fine. I feel bad for the nurse though, must have had a very busy day and this waste of space got her fired.
@xanaxeater absolutely true. I no longer work in the hospital because the stress of understaffing is not worth the money. People think the hospital works for them, it's at their immediate beck and call. They also have been convinced that "anxiety" and "depression" are on par with cardiac arrest, traumatic brain injury and stroke. It's insane the entitlement this guy exhibits. And of course they think it's race related 🙄 😒
That was my thought as well. Here's the shitty part, while she is banned from EL Camion Hospital and its' affiliates, she can easily move out of the network and find gainful employment somewhere else. For some reason the logistics of hospital networks being able to talk to each other is almost impossible. Unfortunately, people seeking medical attention for ailments that are not physically detected, or have multiple visits that end up being treated with narcotics will face an uphill battle in seeking proper treatment. On the bright side of things she is close to, if not already on her way to being morbidly obese and sounds like a candidate for future visits to a respiratory clinic.
This is so familiar! I had a doctor yell and threaten my care because I didn't know enough medical terms and wasn't tolerating his disrespect gracefully enough.

This happened to me. Except they was on the other foot I'm a white guy and it was a black nurse that told me you're wasting this hospital's time! As it turned out a doctor just happened to walk by and saw my x-ray of my chest. The doctor said who is this! The black triage nurse said it's that man right there he is hyperventilating! I'm sending him home! The doctor told the triage put this man in a bed now! And I want to see you in my office. I had double pneumonia. The doctor that later attended me told me that if I had waited two more days he would not have been able to save my life. This triage nurse sent me home to die. I stayed in the hospital for 6 days. Thank God for the doctor that actually knew what he was doing.
i went in to the ER with my wife as i was having terrible headaches that turned out to be a brain tumor, the ER male nurse told my wife I must be a drug user as I was not able to be still in the cat scan machine. My wife told him no he is not, he went on to say that I must be hiding it and I am on drugs, she said we are together 24 hours a day I think I would know if my husband was a drug addict, he was adamant and the next thing I know i am waking up 2 days later in another hospital. He filled me up with the Michael Jackson drug and overdosed me. My wife said he said he was sorry as I was being put in an ambulance. I didn't pay the hospital bill. Don't go to Mercy hospital in Jefferson county Missouri!!
The dude is saying he can't get up without the slightest strain in his voice, meanwhile he's moving his arm around just fine. Alright dude, show me how you can't get up, give it an effort. Then he says he can't inhale, while conversing normally with zero indication that he's short of breath. At best, the guy is grossly exaggerating his symptoms, the Dr's frustrations don't seem beyond the pale, she probably has other patients who are litterally dying and this dude is acting like a child.
This is absolutely disgusting, who would even think of doing this to someone? Just imagine having this happen to you, being mocked even though you can't do something someone wants you to do.
Wow, how unprofessional that women was. I’m sorry you had to deal with her. How did she get a phd? I grateful you had your phone to record her actions.
There's just as many unprofessional asshole nurses as there are doctors. I worked as a nurse for a long time. I actually overheard a nurse tell a patient one time that she wished he's go ahead and die.

Chances are she is burned out, probably needs some mental health help herself. No reason to pull her medical license. people are very quick to throw the book at someone without getting all the info. Agreed, very unprofessional, but none of us know what is going on with her. I hope she gets the help she needs.
Yes.And I think that all doctors (or anyone who works in medical field), should go through any humanitarian work for at least 2-3 years before they obtain any working licence.....
Admittedly I went to the hospital and I wasn't exactly sick per say. I was feeling pain, sometimes it was a 3-4, sometimes it was a 8-10 on a 1-10 scale. The real problem was the heavy bleeding I was having, and it had been going on for months. I was concerned whether or not I should have really gone to the hospital just with the general attitude from the nurse, but I was scared I had a fibroid issue and I requested an ultrasound because I was very scared and felt like I would not be able to wait for months of appointments for a diagnosis. After my whole ordeal at the hospital, I trust doctors less and less, nurses included..
Unfortunately she and many doctors are disrespectful and very unprofessional in the treatment of patients forgetting their oath to care for all in need and instead showing bias and racism. Very sad to admit.

People tend to put doctors on a pedestal, but the reality is that doctors are not different from people in other occupations. There are kind and evil people in every job.

Y’all don’t know how patients get, staff are people too. Anybody can get outta pocket
& lemme guess, you never stuck up for a patient even once.
Good job on you for not reporting them and contributing to the problem, here's your pity points
@@heaven_bound_94xo Your guess is absolutely wrong. I have plenty of times. I've taken it up plenty of times with the boss about unprofessional conduct within the work group. I was probably the loudest one voicing my concerns. Guess what got done about it? Absolutely nothing, which was a main reason why I decided to leave the field. Thank you for the assumption though.

I know a lot of medical people who rightly have little patience with real professional junkies while patients with real illness ( not chosen as a way of life) need their attention.
You don't choose to have horrible chronic pain and become addicted because doctors won't treat you. addiction is an actual illness and people like you disgust me. does a 14 year old with a past of physical abuse and CSA deserve to die from fentanyl overdose because their mom neglected them when they begged to be taken to the dentist for a painful cavity and nothing was done until the tooth cracked in half, resulting in a root canal and addiction to the prescribed Vicodin?

@xanaxeater absolutely true. I no longer work in the hospital because the stress of understaffing is not worth the money. For some reason the logistics of hospital networks being able to talk to each other is almost impossible. Her heart surgery was coming in just a few days. MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN PATIENT!
Trydodis what?
She's the type of person to tell a wheelchair person to stand up
Roninlovesfootball productions right
Lol
😂😂😂
So true she shouldn't be able to work at any hospital!
I might not want to be disabled when this person is around me
Its not rare…most times the abuse and disrespect are more subtle though “we”know whats going
on!
At the age of 42yo I tried desperately to get medical intervention for my severe cardiac pain. I was told I was too young to have heart issues, it was my nerves, anxiety, I just wanted pills or psychosomatic. I quite awhile living in pain and untreated until two weeks after visiting one local ER, I was rushed into surgery for a triple bypass, widow maker and suffered complications in a 17 hr open heart surgery. Three days later I went into 3°™AVB and coded. I then had a pacemaker/ defib. implanted. Since then I have needed another open heart surgery in 2019. I'm getting ready to possible have a stent placement. It was a horrific nightmare I was put through. It ruined my life. To make it even scarier ...I was a RN ER, UNIT and Cardiac nurse. I tried to advocate for myself and was literally scolded for returning to the ER. I since have left the medical field and never ever will go back or trust it!!
this is the equivalent of a doctor telling a patient with broken legs to "just walk"
Exactly, I remember when my grandpa was in the hospital. After suffering a stroke, The nurse didn't care if my grandpa almost fell out of the chair, so I heard she just left the room. Next thing I know I get a call saying my grandpa has a busted face. I didn't know what to think since we tried getting him a chair that was safe, but comfy.
Sadly he laid on the floor for 2 HOURS before someone came and found him. It's sickening how people react sometimes. Sadly he passed in 2018 in October.. But sometimes I still think why did the nurse just not care? It was horrible because I'm pretty sure it happened 2 times.
He already had to have lost memory on how to walk, how to talk, and his face was dropped... I still wonder, why did he have to fall then?
Or a 'president', telling unemployed workers to 'just learn to code'
Just walk it off
not really. she shouldve acted better; but they dont show the obvious reason she acted this way. countless "patients" come into these places trying to get pain meds, coming up with stories about pain/symptoms. to her, this appeared to be another one of those instances; and its frustrating wasting time with them as they go through their whole act to try and get pain meds
@@Felskroner absolutely. He was not doing as he was asked. He didn’t even attempt to try. Doc was too tired and frustrated. She , obviously, needed a break and some help. We MUST support our health care workers! We can not begin to imagine the massive amount of stress under which they work- on a DAILY basis!
I admire the calm demeanor of this patient but he was obviously NOT doing as the doc asked- making HER job even more difficult when she had other patients waiting for her, in dire circumstances.
If she doesn’t have compassion, she has no right to even be a doctor. I understand we all have bad days. But, that behavior is ridiculous…
Unfortunately, not all doctors have compassion, many of them are working just for the money.
@@FacelessGuardian true
True dat ! This doctor don't need to be working around people or animals she needs to get a job at a county dump
if you cannot handle a bad day you shouldn’t be a doctor or at least try and get a day off, but this is serious job
I heard the medical field attracts narcissists and sociopaths
- If you are numb you can’t feel pain. So that contradictory statement could have put the doctor on alert.
- Waiting 3 hours in an ER is part of the US medical system.
- There’s no excuse for the doctor’s behavior, but it would be interesting to hear her side of the story.
- If you can talk you are inhaling. But the doctor could have explained that.
- Just opinion but there is something ‘off’ about the patient.
Judge no nut until you've walked a mile in her moccasins. ER patients can be in respiratory distress, chest pain, homorraging, anxiety, drug overdose, ready to wrestle the staff, manipulative, inpatient, pissed off or just looking for an argument. It's not always only an 8 hr shift either.
Terrible, unprofessional. Should not be allowed to practice!!!
*practise when it's medical
