I use a lot of planner printables and this is basically the exact same way I make them into notebooks, except most of the time I staple mine ❤. Excellent series! Must get that punch guide tho 😊 I make my own guide and use an old book under when I use an awl
Brilliant video, very clear instructions and very well filmed. Thank you for sharing. I will try and make some myself, then my wife won’t say your not buying more notebooks are you? 😂
Thank you for the lovely feedback and thank you for watching! Hehe 😂 i'd love to know how you get on. They're so much fun to make, you end up with MANY more than if you'd bought them.
I don't think I have the space to make any of my own right now but I would love to do this some day!! it looked so fun and rewarding (: and thank you so much for showing how to do this with different tools while getting the same result
Love them!! I love making notebooks as well. I use heavy duty staplers for binding. I used to sew them with a machine that sews leather and denim, but the stitching was too close together. Thank you for inspiring me to make them again.
Machine stitching would have the benefit of speed but I think I’d still prefer the finish of them being hand sewn. The idea of using a leather sewing machine is excellent. I’m so glad you feel inspired to make them again ☺️ it’s so much fun!
You have shared some wonderful ideas. I have been making my passport notebooks off and on for awhile now. The tools and steps you have to create the books provide more more professional more books than mine 🙂. I will definitely use some of your ideas in the future. Thank you ☺.
Such a good video, I've been absolutely loving your channel. This was a really clear, concise and easy to follow tutorial. I wish more DIY channels were like yours. More, more, more!
@@skellyjayne Heat n bond ultralight with a nice woven cotton or something or a quilting cotton is what I've done with great results. The weight makes a big difference. Anything thicker than ultralight is hard to make pretty at the corners.
Thank you very much -:) realy love it and I am about to start too. I already make art journals and I love the composition books - there are not realy available in Switzerland ;) greetings
@@skellyjayne hi there. it work out well. I made 2 and gifted one. only thing is the cut of from A 4 slize is a lot. I like to make more as I have so much papers at home. thanks again for your video.
I got mine off EBay because that’s where the best deal was at the time (I think I paid $80AUD). There are many for sale on Amazon and AliExpress also. If you search for “metal corner rounder” or “heavy duty corner punch” you should be able to find one that will ship to your location. It’s such a time saver, I’m very pleased I bought it. When I was filming this I couldn’t believe how much time I used to spend rounding corners! Haha
