"A true gentleman needs to be brave enough to go into a fight he knows he'll lose." -Jonathan Over 130 years later, these words still echo true as Jolyne faces down one of the most powerful stands in existence.
Nothing else to be said. Jolyne felt like the most similar one to Jonathan, completly surpased by her enemy in power, had a little love story, the blonde friend who cant fight but completly craves to help, she had to die along all her allies except the blone one (Emporio here, Speedwagon back then) to be able to win, and still died before the villian. Not to mention the intro in the last chapter coming back to the Phantom Blood intro, puting Jolyne on Jonathan place. In conclusion my favorite JoJo.

Jolyne's such an amazing character, and she died at age 19 after spending, literally, the rest of her life in prison. Her sacrificing herself for Emporio really shows how much compassion she has. She constantly puts herself on the line for her friends throughout this part, like the baseball catching scene with F.F., her so passionately trying to retrieve her father's memories back, she stopped those guards from violating Hermes, and helped her get revenge on the guy who murdered her sister, and so on... This part was so phenomenal it had me rooting for both Jolyne and Pucci who are now both my favourite protagonist and antagonist of the whole series
I liked how everyone in the group did their part. Ermes stand allowed them to buy some time. Anasui protected and tried to setup a kill for Jotaro. Jotaro saved Jolyne who in turn saved Emporio. Emporio defeated Pucci with weather report. I personally would've found it weird if Giorno or Josuke came out of no where and defeat Pucci because realistically it would've taken the spotlight away from the main cast introduced.
Giorno makes perfect sense to show up even araki put a little part of his profile saying he was nearby due to puccis gravity. If the other sons of DIO were drawn the pucci, giorno would be too. Hes probably at disneyland with mista, trish and fugo
That's what I really like about part 6, unlike other parts were characters get killed and their actions doesn't have impact aside from the emotions, Caesar maybe helped by inspiring Joseph bug he still drank the cure after the fight, Kakyoin even if cool, him revelaing Dio's stand didn't affect in the fight, Abacchio prnting the face is never used, Narancia, but here everybody gets to do something substancial before dying, FF killed the user of Yo Yo Ma and I think she healed Anasui, Weather almost killed Pucci and managed to deliver his disk for emporio to use, and everyone else doing their part to help in the final fight.
id say it’s more impactful that it was only with Ermes stickers did Jotaro get there in time to save Jolyne but allowing them to escape MIH for a bit was big too
Bro the time acceleration is really beautiful. I dont even know why some of the people out there hates this animation. Dont compare to a fan made guys.
@@UnCreativeDeconstructionism It set unrealistic expectations you can't mantain that level of animation for the entire scene that's why the fanmade only covers the first appeareance
Phantom Blood ending with Jonathan sacrificing himself to beat Dio and now Stone Ocean ends with Jolyne sacrificing herself to save Emporio & the world pure poetry
@V0LDDR3AMZ that's not PTSD, this scene just means Jotaro recalls Dio doing the same thing PTSD is when you suddenly recall something traumatic, even when you are perfectly safe at home. Being upset very easily and trying to avoid the memory. Jotaro is frustrated because his own daughter is about to be impaled by the same knives that almost killed him. This isn't a memory or cognitive issue for Jotato, it's real and going to happen 😅
Jonathan died at sea to keep Dio from escaping and give his wife and unborn son a chance at happiness. Jolyne died at sea to let Emporio escape and find a way to set everything right. It really has been a roundabout journey.
I love the character of Jolyne. She's a courageous badass that does what believes that needs to be done. Seeing the scene where she jumps to her death is sad. the ending of SO is very bitter sweet. But i like the underlying theme a lot of this part and the previous one: that living every moment with a sense of justice is what means living in truth, as opposed to living seeing life as a series of achievements that must be reached regardless of the way they are achieved. With Diavolo, he literally erases the path so that he can reach a desired end, it's machiavellism taken to the literal extreme. With Pucci, "erasing" or "removing" or "resetting" it all until reaching something that is perfect, or living having a memory of the future, to act so that we can act to reach a specific future, is a similar theme. It's "we can do terrible things right now if that brings about the glorious future we imagine" that the villains act according to, vs what the Joestars, the heroes, predicate: "do what is right and follow your sense of justice at every step of the path, because even in the undesired event that that leads to misfortune, you will know that you did the best you could". Or, to put it succinctly, a righteous, heroic path is the correct way to live your life
Now I knew the meaning of the opening when jolyne runs towards pucci the same way Jonathan did in his opening, it’s because they both died before they could finish the job.
Jolyne is definitely the most developed jojo. She reaches a beautiful maturity at the end of Stone ocean. Araki compared her to the Virgin Mary in the manga.
@@copaceticobserver I love Johny but I find him hard to pin down. he is very selfish and we only see in the last chapter of the manga that he has evolved. It remains somewhat the same throughout the manga. But he's the most thorough jojo and i love him. He is my top 4 jojo.
0:52 the double time arrangement of her theme is just perfect, it represents the peril and the literal speeding up of time. So underrated but it brings everything together in this scene.
Most badass scene in the whole series imo. The chase underwater, the dolphins, the sacrifice that jotaro makes to save jolyne, the sacrifice that jolyne makes to save emporio, that shot of emporio reaching out to the horizon after jolyne dies, the freaking orchestral opera choir music playing, it's too good. Not to mention that pucci and made in heaven are just visually cool in general.
You clearly don't understand anything. Survive? That isn't a question. Unless they died in fluke accidents caused by time acceleration everyone but the stone ocean characters were harmlessly moved over to the next universe
Hearing the sad theme as emporio rides away from Jolyne and the whole world bewildered at what's going on paints the chaos that Pucci is achieving hits hard. It genuinely feels like a hopeless scenario. I'm gonna miss this universe. Good job, DP.
It’s honestly so scary on just how powerful pucci was, joyline the person who single handily stopped many enemy’s with the power of her stand and smart thinking lost in mere milliseconds
I feel like this part was very hated before the anime but now that it’s ended many fans will see how much of a masterpiece this part truly was. See you all in steel ball run!

@@ehwouldntuagree8442 Thank you, was confused as to why he didn’t dodge that. Could Pucci just have been defeated by throwing mundane objects at him during the time acceleration process?
Seeing them decompose, emotions screaming, the scenery, the shattered glasses and pieces of stone free... This scene was heartbreaking and a masterpiece
Just finished stone ocean, this got me deeply emotional. She heavily reminds me of joseph in several ways but had her fathers rage and fighting style. Rest in peace Jolyne
Fun fact: Emporio is the only one who was with Jolyne since start. Ermes and Weather Report got injured in between and took rest, Anasui came in second part, Foo Fighters died at the end of 2nd part and Jotaro was in coma most of the time
0:56 this is what makes Jojo's special, you can FEEL the characters putting everything on the line, the stakes at its highest, and you can't even anticipate what comes next because Araki has no fear of killing characters, no matter how loved they are.
@@mrhowl8715I meant Joseph, Araki never killed him off, and he's one of the most beloved characters. He came close a few times, but made it through the wringer and probably survived into the new universe.

0:57 is one of the nicest animations Jojos has put out to date, those 7 seconds looked amazing, also rip this finale hurt my feelings even tho I knew it was coming
1:10 is touching because the butterflies flying away is meant to be a metaphor for Joylne leaving Emporio. There are a lot of butterflies because it could suggest that her body is disintegrating (like a corpse would normally) as we see with Jotaro, Anastasia and Hermes (due to time acceleration) fading quickly
Even after rereading the manga so many times this ending WAS AMAZING! Tears man! And dang it! In English Emporio just calls her Jolyne, but technically in Japanese that last shout translates to Big Sister I think! 😖
@kollie79 sorry, I watched the first batch in sub and dub, but Jojo is perhaps the only anime I actually enjoy dub so I forgot… nevertheless it was still sad
Can we talk about how well this moment captured the panic, confusion, and drama of humanity facing Armageddon? Holy shit you can really feel the "it's the end of days" tone
Arc 1 ending - Jonathan Joestar sacrifice his last life force to hold off Dio for his wife to escape in the sea. Arc 6 ending - Jolyne Joestar sacrifice herself to fight Dio's friend Pucci so Emporio can escape in the sea. Arc 1 ending is a man saving a woman.
0:47 oh my god! You can see the disk! During the zoom out after Jolyne cuts the rope. There, for an instant, you can see Weather Report’s disk
Damn
I liked how everyone in the group did their part. Ermes stand allowed them to buy some time. Anasui protected and tried to setup a kill for Jotaro. Jotaro saved Jolyne who in turn saved Emporio. Emporio defeated Pucci with weather report. I personally would've found it weird if Giorno or Josuke came out of no where and defeat Pucci because realistically it would've taken the spotlight away from the main cast introduced.
Crazy Diamond's healing would've been kinda handy i think
Giorno makes perfect sense to show up even araki put a little part of his profile saying he was nearby due to puccis gravity. If the other sons of DIO were drawn the pucci, giorno would be too. Hes probably at disneyland with mista, trish and fugo
@@cdntrooper3078 araki didn't put that in those were added after the volume releases by shueisha
That's what I really like about part 6, unlike other parts were characters get killed and their actions doesn't have impact aside from the emotions, Caesar maybe helped by inspiring Joseph bug he still drank the cure after the fight, Kakyoin even if cool, him revelaing Dio's stand didn't affect in the fight, Abacchio prnting the face is never used, Narancia, but here everybody gets to do something substancial before dying, FF killed the user of Yo Yo Ma and I think she healed Anasui, Weather almost killed Pucci and managed to deliver his disk for emporio to use, and everyone else doing their part to help in the final fight.
id say it’s more impactful that it was only with Ermes stickers did Jotaro get there in time to save Jolyne but allowing them to escape MIH for a bit was big too

pure poetry
The whole story going full circle like that really is a "roundabout"
God Jotaro having PTSD cause of the Knifes was fucked up
That’s not even the fucked up part
It’s that jotaro had to choose saving his daughter or the whole world
Didn't seem like PTSD.
Jotaro just looked mad Pucci is copying Dio's thing.
@@BrakSplash Actually it is ptsd because dio did that once. and it gave him a flashback of dio.
@V0LDDR3AMZ that's not PTSD, this scene just means Jotaro recalls Dio doing the same thing
PTSD is when you suddenly recall something traumatic, even when you are perfectly safe at home.
It really has been a roundabout journey.
never thought about this. beautiful
Jolyne: ILL BE THE ROUNDABOUT
Fitting how the ending theme for this episode was the same “Roundabout” used in part 1
as Johnny once said:"It truly has been a long roundabout journey"
