Having a power supply built into a V Mount shape adapter is actually a genious move, its saves weight and keeps the light itself small when the mains is not in use and if it fails you can just replace the mains adapter without the need of replacing the whole unit. Bravo Smallrig and the designers behind this. 👌
Awesome video, something everyone needs to learn -- lighting is one of the most important parts of crafting the image, and you can do amazing work with just one light source!!
All round fantastic presentation bro with excellent easy to follow tips, and most importantly , varied examples. Top tier. Can't wait to see the next video.❤
Excellent video! I completely agree with the title-cinematography is not about the camera; Replicating sunlight with artificial lighting is always a challenge. Cinematic artificial lighting is great when a scene feels natural and unlit. The magic lies in the subtle details that make all the differences. Another important thing is the PD. 😉
Thank you NEO, I know you understand lighting very well and I hope to get some good tips from you when we meet. I really want to understand this whole lighting thing properly and even dabbling at an amateur level makes a whole lot of difference.
I agree with the whole video. Cole brother. The smallrig light is the bomb!!! Love the power and versatility. The micro images look amazing. Great work brother. Keep it up with Rob the magician of light🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾
Great video - all I can say is yes, yes, yes on lighting. So important to both video and photo work I am doing. Thanks for showcasing what is available. Lighting does make or break anyones hard efforts.
Hi Chris, thank you. Yes it's so important but I ignored it for many years, thinking upgrading my camera upgrades would make me better. I love learning about lighting now.
the scenes look great, just don't shoot higher than 24 FPS if you want a smoother more "cinematic" look. Higher than that its too crisp and takes away the dreamy vibe. I dumbed down the playback quality to 480 on youtube and it looked more smooth.
@@jason.martin thank you and yes you're right. I usually shoot at 50fps just in case I need to stabilise any handheld footage but I could have shot 25 as it's all tripod shots.

Bro, I literally just had this same conversation with a friend 😁 proof that we both think alike.
I love the shot looking in the window at 5:28. Such nice colors.

Class video my man! Absolutely class! That garden shed looked awesome!

Thank you brother, definitely going to focus more on lighting this year. Micro is still doing bits but the Fuji 😁🤌🏾🤌🏾

@ The more I learn about it the less I realize that I knew it. So important to just keep learning.
Brilliant video bro, super informative
@@cine-ish thank you my bro, appreciate that. Very simple concept but I think this cinematic stuff can be simplified.

@@LouisLuzuka yep, we all need the lights if we want to level up. The goal this year is to get better at it.
@ that’s a good point I don’t need new lenses I need to learn lighting and audio
