These events just aren't the same without the Phelper on the mic, workin' the crowd. 👓Things would get insane as Jake got more and more drunk as the day went on...chaos! The cops always had to show up because things would get out of hand, every time. Those Helloween events are legendary.

Only like 3 guys actually skate now? I think I saw like 5 or 6 guys, total, skate, but only 3 of those actually did the vast majority of the skating. Crazy how many spectators skating has now. I remember going to street contests in the Bay Area in the late 90s, and there was never a fraction of the crowd, and guys like Mike Carroll, were the ones leading the charge.

@@BoostedSolstice the one guy in purple Nikes was sick! Consistent. I kept getting annoyed when others would cut him off cause he basically was the show. He was hungry. Haven’t seen skating like that in forever. But yeah, I guess he and the two others were the highlights! I liked the course because it reminded me of a set up that was in a Back to the Bay contest, and another, that was in Tahoe, back in like 92 or 93’, with the cop car. But it was a real coo car not a modified coo car to skate. Koston was olliing onto the car and rolling over it, doing nose picks. The guy in purple Nike’s kick flipped the entire fucking car!! 🙌🙌🙌 That’s serious. I love those launch ramp to flat ramp setups.
