Skateboarding culture is amazing, ever since it started. Every big trick is like a buzzer beater... not many sports like it. It brings people of all walks of life together.
We need more of this kind style skate contest where it’s purely based on having fun and skating crazy stuff! This is way more impressive and fun to watch than the exact same sterile street league course
What's really crazy to think about, is he has very little ability to absorb shocks. Everyone else has massive springs they use to soften impacts tremendously. Imagine falling from the first story straight down on your feet. If you fall well, you'll be fine. Now imagine you fall straight down on your ass. Now you're going to the hospital! Dude is gangster af.
Ryan Decenzo is incredible... He's done so many bangers for so long and he still keeps going on. He is becoming one the gnarliest pro overall in my humble opinion 🙏
He's insane! Especially crazy that he's nearing 40! Well he's like 36 i believe. Your 30s feel much different than your teens and 20s, especially for the level he's still consistently skating at! Gota stay moving!
@@croulantroulant3082 I remember an old interview that always stuck with me, when David first came out he said "I dont really care if I live or die" that was pretty heavy a thing to say and his skating certainly showed that lol

I just want to give straight up mad props to Ryan descenzo. He literally is the only Street League pro that shows up to every competition an event for the sheer thrill of it. He has my respect.
Nicole grinding the big rainbow brought a tear to my eye. That was so sick. And seeing the stuff Felipe Nunes can do on a board is incredible! also Chima's bs 360!!! Too much stuff to name really, so much hype! Love you dime.
the 'rainbow' ramps were super dodgy, those metal plates the rail is welded to arent seeded into the box at all, if you fell on it coming down the other side you would cut yourself up super bad, and thats something a hand held router could have fixed super quickly..
That was the coolest event I ever seen! The jackalope was nothing compared to this. (Mainly because the fans understood the tricks and knew when to celebrate) The jackalope was a mixed event and it did show. People would not get excited when they were killing the mega ramp and most of the time it felt akward. But the Dime glory was something else! The crowd was on point cheering the guys up at the right time to push them to their limits! That was so sickkk! I loved the Jackalope it was fun but the Dime Glory is the event to go if you Love skating and what comes around it! Can’t wait to return again and again!

Decenzo being the most consistent skater in the whole world, 36 years old, so fucking underrated, like bro, how the fuck can he go so big and clean when he’s 36.
SO many comments saying "this is what skating is all about". If you enjoy this then good for you but skating is also about quietly chilling with your mates and trying some tricks no pressure rather than getting pissed up and screaming constantly but like I said do that if you enjoy it.
I use to be so into Skateboarding. I remember the early 2000s were peak Skateboarding, X games were like the superbowl, and everyone played Tony Hawk... I think it was after X games went to Indianapolis, the crowds died off, the hype was slowly fading, and now its not even advertised... Seeing what Thrasher does right here gives me that 2003 nostalgic feeling of how I remember skateboarding. Crowds= Energy! This was so sick to watch!
skateboarding needs contests like these. Hope this goes as long as the tampa contests have been mobbing.
I agree. Get this on a worldwide tour!
TAMPA CONTEST 4 EVER!!!
This definitely gets more attention than Tampa
at 5:12 that was a wheel grind?
The amount of white cringe in this video isn't it tho
This is skateboarding. This needs to go on forever. This and the Dolores hill bomb are skateboarding at its core.
