Since I lucked out and got every agent but Neko and S11, those are my planned teams (2 stun, 2 anomaly based for gameplay variety) to cover all elements prior to 1.3. Then I'll save again.

For some reason, most CCs are underplaying her. She was already looking strong pre-buffs. And even now after buffs, people are still claiming she's not that much better than Anby (and no one ever talks how clunky to play Anby is, on top of being weaker, and on top being less universal - Qingyi can be paired with any attacker). Remember, before their release, Kazuha was said to be "just a 5 star Sucrose" (=not worth), Baizhu was "just a Yaoyao sidegrade" (=not worth), and finally Yelan was dismissed because "Xingqiu c6 is better", and lo and behold, even to this day those are pivotal, top meta units with very high usage in the Abyss. Point being, Hoyo players can't judge a character properly for shit. Now they say "we have Anby, so Qingyi is not needed", but in future they will regret skipping her.
agreed. the biggest thing drawing me towards Qingyi is her smooth playstyle compared to anby's. i won't be ditching anby since her stun is still faster than koleda's in some cases, but i just enjoy koleda and qingyi more. its definitely going to be a xingqiu and anby case like you said, they'll have good, yet different vallue. anby can stun faster, qingyi's stuns are more *valuable.* who knows, maybe we'll see the both of them on one team?

Yeah, seriously. The fact that her extra passive only needs an attacker present makes her very flexible to slot into almost any team. That alone is very valuable.
Content Creators underplaying damage buffers is a classic for Hoyo games. Happened with Yelan ("skip her if you have C6 XQ"), with Kazuha ("He's just 5 star Sucrose"), even with Furina ("Her hydro application is bad, if you have XQ or Yelan she is a skip").
At this point if some content creators are saying she is mid and the actual Theorycrafters are talking about how strong she is (some already considering her at least 40% better than any other stunner for Zhu Yuan, for example - and that's before her buff) and how likely she is to stay relevant for a long time, a character becomes a must pull for me, unless I dislike their character or design.
those content creators are all reading from the same she's mid skip her memo. They blew all of their pulls on the last banner and instead of coming clean they are underplaying her.
Finally! A Qingyi video that isn't doomposting her! Like im getting tired of everyone telling me to skip her for Jane Doe or the 1.2 characters they just revealed (who i have zero interest in all of them).

To be fair they are only saying this to players who are quite limited on resources .You can pull for her, I’m still pulling for her since I don’t have lyacon…
i will be pulling m1w1. purely for the frieren face. also because i love zhu yuan so much. i've her m2w1. i've been using lycaon so much as of late, i've gravitated far from my ellen team. zhu yuan team is going to be my new favorite perhaps until miyabi.

For me she will be considered a must have over Anby IF she can while stunning, cause that's my only problem with Anby's normals. Otherwise I'll just skip
She can dodge in the middle of her Basic 3 spam and immediately go back into it so yeah she can dodge and stun still.

I think you will, since 1.2 is all about Sons of Calydon. Perfect time to save if you're not interested
Almost guaranteed you'll have enough for Miyabi given that you can skip the 2nd half of 1.1 and the 1.2 characters have been revealed to not be Miyabi
