    World of difference between the cameras true color profile and just a generic profile. This video was Just what I needed to get the best color out of my camera native RAW files. Thank you!

      Absolutely, happy that you can appreciate the difference! Now set it up as a default for the camera and it will auto apply!

    THANK YOU! You have no idea how mad and disappointed I was that the colors on my camera looked different everytime I tried shooting a raw photo. I was so mad to the point I avoided raw altogether just to preserve color.

    Thank you so much for posting this video. I asked how to get the m10 profile from another video you posted and I really appreciate you following up here. Strangely I couldnt find anything online to when I tried to google.

      Yes, it isn’t always obvious. Got a bunch of questions about how to get the camera profiles in general, so I’m glad it helped! Cheers!

    I also find that my M10 oversaturates greens by quite a bit and to a small extent yellows. I created a preset that sets pics to M10 color profile and desaturates greens by 20 and yellows by 5 which I find produces much more natural results.

    Hi, thanks for your video. I recently purchase a Leica SL2 and am using Lightroom for post processing. However, I cannot find the Profile for this camera. May I know how you could it? I browsed the Camera Raw database and found one. It failed to import while I tried to imported it. Any idea about this? Many thanks!

    Thank you for this. Can color profiles be changed using Lightroom on iOS?

    • @GenericPhotographer
      @GenericPhotographer  2 года назад +1

      Yes but I’ve had mixed results. Often times they don’t appear there by default so you would have to apply it on LR classic, sync it and then copy paste the profile onto other photos on mobile. Make sure to flag the color profile as a favorite on mobile as well.

    Hello, thank you for your video !
    I have a question, though. When I click on "import profiles,"
    I can't click on a Leica DNG file. How should I import this RAW file so I can use it as a profile?

    Can you use a canon profile for example on an image shot on a Sony or iPhone etc and get the canon look? If not is there a canon r5 preset or something I can just apply. I like the look but I don’t wanna spend 3k on the r5 😅

    Thanks for the video! Is there a way to automatically apply the profile during import. There is a option in the preferences that should do that but it doesn’t work for me. Thanks 🙏

    • @GenericPhotographer

      Simply save an edited photo preset with the profile applied and the have apply as user preset upon import. It should work

    How do you apply the profile for the M10 but have it Black and white ? Thanks a lot for the video it's super insightful

    • @GenericPhotographer

      Simply slide the saturation slider all the way down. Then you can still play with the color channels. Glad you found the video helpful!

    HI Andrew.Thanks for the iInteresting clip. I see that you managed to have the SL2 embedded profile showing in LR. Try as I may, I don't see to be able to do so in LR Classic (current version). How did you manage to do so? Thanks. Jean-Michel

    • @GenericPhotographer
      @GenericPhotographer  2 года назад

      Hey Jean-Michel, as long as your camera raw is up to date, simply import a dng from your sd card. It should work, follow the steps I included. Hope that helps!

      @@GenericPhotographer Hi Andrew. Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, that does not work; it may be a CameraRaw issue (it show as ip to date, but...)- the SL2 does not show upon its profiles, so I'll need to check into that. By the way, i purchased the SL2 from Camtec, I am glad to see that they are sponsoring you. Jean=Michel

      @@jean-michelkomarnicki7626 glad to hear and fantastic camera by the way, I’m proud to be affiliated with camtec as well. The SL2 profile won’t be called “sl2” but rather “embedded”. I should’ve specified that. Hope that helps!

    • @jean-michelkomarnicki7626
      @jean-michelkomarnicki7626 2 года назад

      @@GenericPhotographer Hi again. Yes, you are correct. The embedded profiles are in CameraRaw/CameraProfiles/Adobe Standard, and not in the Camera folder. I am usually quite happy with AdobeColor and work from there, but using the embedded profile for the SL2 may be useful times. I do have an import preset that brings up my images to a very good starting point.

    I have only camera deep, camera landscape, camera vivid, adobe profiles etc. but no profile that has my cameras name.
    When i try to add a raw picture by the import profile plus sign, he tells me the file is unsupported. (actually with sony arw files)

    • @GenericPhotographer
      @GenericPhotographer  2 года назад +1

      The ones titled camera standard, camera landscape , etc. are the ones you should be using. Different cameras have different names for the profiles. You now have the option to choose which one you prefer, camera standard is usually a good base.
