    I eat a lot now because counting calories was leaving my hungry and eating a lot at night.

    So much of this is so helpful and I do believe in some of these ideas for sure but I do think it's important to note that this won't work for everyone especially the many with food addictions and sometimes people don't get the whole picture and end up gaining weight and go right back to restricting. It might be worth mentioning some disclaimers? Not judging I just watched another high raw vegan years ago and just jumped in with the passion and excitement and was not prepared for the mistakes I would make. I ended up gaining weight. I am currently on a whole foods diet, mostly vegan. I think that you should encourage people to seek experts or to work with you so that they have the full knowledge of how it can work. That would have worked better for me. We are all striving and your ideas are inspiring. Just something to consider. People are very desperate when they are overweight to find the "cure" and I just wanted to put my ideas out there as someone who jumped in and didn't prepare. I have been raw vegan in the past (for a year). It is a wonderful diet and I learned so much about myself. In many ways and I am moving back toward a more vegan, whole and high raw diet. We are all striving. I have been watching your videos and find great nuggets of goodness here so thank you for sharing!

      thanks very much! 💕I appreciate your comment, and will definitely take this into consideration next time. I fully understand and can relate as I too healed from an ED/disordered relationship with food 9 years ago. So these tips come from my personal experience + my education + working with my clients 🙏

    January 2020 I was 180 lbs. I said 180 lbs. I ate too much vegan junk food and I would literally eat a vegan family sized pizza. I cleaned up what I ate, and losing the weight was waaaaay easier because its easier to burn plant fat than saturated animal fat. I'm now 140 lbs and I can finally look good in a bath suit again

    Sorry but that doesn’t work for everyone.
    I am a Whole food plant based vegan who can overeat plain steamed potatoes and gain weight.

      do you struggle with emotional eating? do you have a type of disordered eating? are all parts of your life happy/comfortable or is something causing you stress/anxiousness?

      Despina Gavala You just said it, "overeat". This lifestyle is not about overeating, but stopping when you feel full.

    • @Gavaladespina
      @Gavaladespina 3 года назад +2

      @thevegansolution yes it’s true I struggle
      But the quote that all WFPB doctors are saying is eat as much as you want you won’t get fat with this way of eating
      But the right quote is eat till you are satiated.

      Yes absolutely, eat until you are fully satisfied. If you have to heal from an ED/disordered eating first, then you must do that!

    What if one has an eating disorder that causes them to be overweight, and makes it hard for them to lose weight?

    • @azizj29
      @azizj29 3 года назад +1

      'A course in weight loss' by Marianne Williamson - seriously 110% worth the read or get it on audible. It's not just about the food no matter which diet lifestyle you follow, getting to the root causes of why we have disordered eating is key.

      @rawbirbella justthat like tonight I did really good on eating wfpb then made dinner for my family and ate a cheese quesadilla because it’s there. People don’t understand either they think I should just MAKE my family go plant based or cook for themselves but it’s not like that for my family.

      healing from your ED would take precedence over mostly anything. You must heal from that first!

    I think you have to be nourished and detoxed from processed food, and no longer seek food for entertainment and comfort for this to work. It’s starting to work for me but I’m a little over year into my healing. Prior to this my body and brain didn’t understand “satisfied”.
