Man you went above and beyond with this! You demystified this album entirely, this video should serve as a point of reference to learn so many concepts on the guitar and Fredrik's style, and don't worry if it's not perfect. Cause so many (myself included) can get something out of this video and that's what matters :)

Yup, took me quite some time to get it but the « « « easy » » » part is that the tempo never changes so thé transitions are smoother
Holy crap, this is sick! This and Catch 33 have been my favorite albums ever since I found out about meshuggah, and fredrik really inspired me to get my own guitar and try to make my own version of jazz fusion + death metal. I started with an 8 string guitar about 5 months ago, and I'm still going strong! Though im 16 now, I know I'll be playing for eons, but this really inspired me to try and cover this album myself. It'll take a real long time, But I'll remember to tell you when I do it. Much love brother!

Incredible job man. I've spent the last ~1.5 years learning this album as someone who hasn't practiced learning by ear much and it's been tough. The way you played the muted chugging in this album sounds spot-on; i'll probably be using this as a learning tool!

Fun fact: while watching your badass video I picked up the acoustic in E standard. I noticed when trying the lead riff from (sun door?) that when playing a B on the D string it sympathetically sounded the B string, and the next note in the series is one half step away, the ringing B gives it an extra dissonance
Well this isn't what I expected to see today! From one 7-string EGC owner to another: hell yeah. How long have you had it? Alu body as well or just the neck? I have so many questions. Fantastic work.

@@gregdesmurs7236 I first asked for one to be built in 2015, ended up with a mostly-custom 6 string 500 because they'd 'closed the custom shop' at the time, but in the space of the last 18 months I've ended up with two 7-string Series Ones at 26.5" each. One an ill-fated custom order for a Russian fellow, one brand new as of last month. Stoked! Just got done uploading a "nobody cares" length video on the subject.
Ok, seen it, very cool videos dude! Mine is the first seven strings they made. The custom shop closed between the moment I ordred and the moment I recieved it so I’m very happy I got it on time :)
@@gregdesmurs7236 So it's your fault! Haha. I don't know how many there are but there must be less than 10. I've seen another one with a Series 2 / mosrite kind of body in metallic blue, I've got two series ones, there's two others that were made recently, so that's six including yours. Small club!
