- This time on TRC we feature Hunter from SXS USA and his WILD street legal 2020 Can Am X3 Turbo SXS. It weighs under 1800LBS and is an absolute rocket on the street doing 0-60mph in just 3.0s! It's amazing how far we've come with forced induction, engine management, fuel delivery and supply along with precision manufacturing and machining of extremely efficient and well engineered engines. Getting an easy and reliable 200-250hp a litre is no big deal anymore and just 20 years ago getting a reliable 450hp out of your 2.0l 4cyl was a big challenge. Amazing.

I was a Polaris technician for a few years after the Audi dealer i wrenched at went belly up. Ive never busted into a can am before. I had no idea how much more stout everything is. Just the primary design seems to make a helluva lot more sense. Besides that inline 3 platform makes the stupid 2 cylinder seem a little dodgy to get comparable performance numbers. Most importantly the can am sounds a hundred billion times better. Good edit guys thanks for being cold for all of us.

They're probably "cheater slicks"; grooved _just_ enough (in OK, that's 1/16" btw) to be street legal. Now, how an ATV/SXS is street legal - that, I don't know. It doesn't have wipers, it doesn't have indicators. Maybe OK is just that chill?

Actually, I think it’s that Most CVT’s aren’t as potent as the ones found in SXS’s, but I’d have to admit it, these SXS’s are pretty cool!

Cool to see offroad vehicles becoming more popular in the car community. I was raised on ATVs and snowmobiles but grew a passion for cars but I find myself back to my roots of offroad stuff once again. Love to see car guys recognize how fast these things are. Like the video of the ski doo renegade murdering a farrari. That's not that impressive for sled guys. But to car guys it's a slap in the face as to what real speed is.
