    u know it works only on old win10 ver and on win 11 with regedit that unlocks it? U cant make it work on modern win 10. Any changes is simply run to run differences.

    • @laptoptweakingtips
      @laptoptweakingtips  7 месяцев назад

      Bro I benchmark daily
      So either it's run to run that coincidentally happend to register the same results consistently for 2 years magically
      Or
      It actually does make a difference
      I think based on my testing I'll go with the latter
      Tbh I think it's the standby list that actually makes the real difference

      @@laptoptweakingtips ikd if this will help, but there is a youtube review of the fg feature and the guy wrote a comment saying this:
      @Hybred
      Universal LSFG Requirements
      Requirement 1: Set your game to borderless fullscreen (if the option does not exist or work then windowed, it does NOT work with exclusive fullscreen)
      Requirement 2: Set "Scaling Mode" to "Auto" and "Scaling Type" to "Off" (this ensures you're playing at native & not upscaling, since the app also has upscaling functionality which you can use if you want)
      Requirement 3: Whatever framerate you have make sure you're able to maintain it so you don't throw off the frame pacing - LSFG has a performance overhead so you will need to take that into account when seeing what FPS your game gets, so scale with LSFG & use something like RTSS to see your framerate afterwards (The cap has to be stable and consistent)
      -------------
      LSFG Interpolation Methods
      Method 1: Limit your framerate by half your monitors hertz, if you want a lower framerate then you need to lower your hertz as well (ex: 120 ÷ 2 = 60). Cap via RTSS or driver but do not set a global cap or you'll end up capping LS as well - hertz that end in odd numbers that cannot be evenly capped (165hz) will either require you to make a custom hz like 164hz or go down to something like 144hz
      Method 2: Use the "Vertical Sync" option in Lossless Scaling. Max Refresh Rate keeps it at max, 1/2 divides it by 2, 1/3 divides it by 3, 1/4 divides it by 4 (Example: 144hz - Max = 144fps, 1/2 = 72fps, 1/3 = 48fps, 1/4 = 36fps) - You want it to be twice as high your FPS cap/in game framerate
      Method 3: See what FPS you're able to stabilily get, cap it then make a custom refresh rate twice that using your drivers or a tool like CRU
      Method 4: Add LosslessScaling.exe to NVIDIA's control panel and add a framerate cap that's double your capped in game FPS - unless it exceeds your refresh rate, in which case framecap lower or don't use FG (This method only works on nvidia cards, do not set a global cap when capping the game otherwise you will cap LS too)
      Each method has their own flaws, whatever works best for you either in terms of image quality or convenience. The higher your hertz is the better the interpolation quality so whatever method let's you keep the highest hertz possible with your setup should be the best,

      @@laptoptweakingtips It's within the margin of error with the results shown in the video the results is heavily influenced by the temperatures of your laptop, since you have a GTX 1650 which uses the turing architecture when your GPU temperature increases by 10c the core clock drops by -15mhz, but if you didn't know after Windows 10 20H1 up to 22H2 timer resolution was changed what you're seeing is when you attempt to change the timer resolution it sends a request to the kernel but unfortunately that request goes nowhere and remains on the default value, only the past versions of Windows 10 before 20H1 has the working version of the timer resolution, Windows 11 22H2 has the working version of timer resolution all it needed is a simple registry tweak as shown on the ISLC "GlobalTimerResolutionRequests", Windows 10 is unable to do the same because Microsoft never implemented it.
      I don't recommend using ISLC especially since you have 24GB of RAM, every time the program clears the "memory" in this case the cached memory it's actually making your PC slower than you realise because if you opened the same application it needs time to rebuild its contents again within the memory but if it was already cached it can simply retrieve those same contents from the memory since it's already there which will improve performance, Windows already overwrites the memory if other applications needs more, if perhaps you had maybe 8GB of RAM then i guess ISLC would be useful but higher than 16GB its very much not needed.
      In-case you're reading please don't take this as an attack! just trying to help you out by saving time from having to find out in the future. 👍❤
