I also have the arena carbon series however I do agree that that line is amazing! I don’t agree on the carbon ultra . I actually have swam well in the suit and I mainly use it for freestyle and fly sprints. I do use my flex vx more often now that I have one but I do still like my ultra. I do agree on the weird compression tho
Yeah I have the same experience with it. I use it for 50 free and fly but cant use it for more than 50 meters. I use tyr venzo for 100 and 200 since it feels a bit less heavy. But the compression in it is the best for me for 50s.
Agreed on the LZR and the Carbon Ultra..both my sons dislike the Speedo, and my oldest son actually felt slower in the Carbon Ultra. He had the exact one you're holding. Still a cool looking suit!😀

@@TheSwimsuitGuy Maybe... It does feel quite bulky compared to the mizuno V. But since I swim the 200 fly and 200 IM, it feels good for the 200 fly as it saves my legs a bit and isn't as compressive as the Mizuno (which I like for endurance races like the 200 fly).
You got the Carbon Ultra spot on. I wore it at my championship meet last year during finals, and added time in all of my races from prelims which I wore an aqua blade for.
Got a LZR Racer X as my first tech suit... quite liked it so I’d love to try some of the more “better” suits. Don’t really have anything to compare it to other than my regular training suits...

Also, I went many best times in the suit and whether or not it truly helped my performance, I definitely felt like it did during the race, so I have a positive view of the carbon ultra.

Loooool fun video Also, I won some Arena cobra ultra goggles (sick), but I'm not sure what I should do They have not arrived yet, but I know that the profile is way lower than anything else I've ever worn. I use goggles as high profile as the vanquisher 2.0s, and when I tried on the MP goggles they did not feel at all nice. On top of that, I need prescriptions- If I manage to get used to the shape, should I race with them without being able to see clearly or try getting contacts? I think the anti-fog is worth it, because for me fog is much worse than a clear non prescription goggle (and I'm near legally blind)

I’ve worn the mizunos and even though I think they were definitely better than the carbon ultra, there we’re definitely some things I liked about it.

Interesting your opinion on the Carbon Ultra, I’ve always found it to be pretty good. Not as good as Mizuno but not terrible either
I think the price and the fact it just doesn't nothing better than the cheaper carbon models also in the range means there is just zero reason for it.

More people have always worn the LZR Elite than the X, which in my opinion is a better suit. Regardless Speedos marketing is just way too good!

Everyone is different at the end of the day. I've swam faster in the X unrested than I did in a Mizuno shaved and tapered at trials ahha
