7/28/12 Donto James' performance at the Central Avenue Jazz Concert was great and dedicated to Etta James. Disappointed that their were more "white jazz musicians" making money at the concert than Black players. There are hundreds of Black jazz musicians in the Los Angeles area, but Councilwoman Jan Perry approves of bringing white bands into the "hood" to make the money while trying to sing jazz. Jazz/Blues was created by Blacks. Also, the sound system kept breaking down during performances.
