Hay Bigg B...Were getting ready to order this boat..The only ones I see out there are out of china...or the proboat kit..were ordering the China shrimp boat...the 70 Dallar kit..thanks for letting us see how you do your build and we can see what the kit looks like..umm..what do you think about a longer stinger..thanks..
Just got me a new 3d printer and been wanting a boat for a while and always loved this build so I think I'm gonna try printing the outrigger but do the hull in balsa with 3d cross members/ supports and motor mount. It's gonna be a little of both balsa and 3d prints lol. But I think it could be pretty cool that way
Hello nice video i have one question . my rc boat has 2 motors with those it turns if i want to turn right then one of them activates etc but its not steering well . so i thought i could install a rudder but there is no other free channel at my radio. Is there a way to install servo for the rudder to my motors?
Looks like we got the same kit. Only I'm going to use a 7500kv brushless motor with a 90 esc .of course the rudder is the cnc aluminum. I used a point 40 gage guitar string as my linkage between servo and rudder. We think way to much the same. I even a Dremel to cut my pieces . I only need to show you. Lol
@@IRONCLADRC with the arenson drive it looks like a gimbal just like a full size one, it should be able to point down some to lift the boat. I just haven't seen to many good videos of them in use to be able to see the full range of movement other than side to side.
Big B … I’m thinking this could be my next boat. Basic kit price is very affordable. I’m wondering which accessory kit you got? I would want to use the OSE rudder and shop the motor/esc so, I guess just the basic kit no accessories. Another great instructive video … looking forward to the next segment.
Is it better to put the steering set up on the Rat side or does it hurt to put it on the left side? Because I’ve noticed most of them has been on the back right side I was wondering if that does something from the prop torque or just the weight distribution of your battery
On a rigger as far as I know the rudder can be on the right side, hydroplanes tend to run there rudder on the left side. I don't see why you couldn't run the rudder on the left side of an outrigger this boat was designed for a right side rudder mount because the motor is off set to the left
Thank you for your videos. I am switching from weed wacker gas boats to electric. Could you please do a video on electric motors and what all the numbers mean. 4 pole vs. 6 pole. KV and RPMs. Much appreciated I am building 6 different boats all electric and could use your help Brian B.
I have a brand new aero trooper ,and the servos just studders and only control is the throttle ,I put in a Traxxas one it works but ,when I shut the boat off and restart the Traxxas servo doesn’t work unless I unplugg it and plug . it back in then it’s fine .not unless the Traxxas servo won’t work on the Proboat any help will be most grateful
@@IRONCLADRC back from the lake ,I took the servo out of my stealthwake 100 percent ,the new servo was faulty on a brand new boat,it happens they make millions of them its a Traxxas but it works
@@IRONCLADRC I'm going to the pond to test the Micro Jet today, but I'm also testing a couple of prototypes for the next Challenge, and both examples use that steering linkage system. I like how it's waterproof and smooth as silk at the same time with no big (relative to really small boats) bellows to worry about.

What do you think would happen if an outrigger had a surface drive on it? Like a TFL Arenson Drive.
I have a jet boat and have debated a jet drive rigger! Tapped in for answers
I've done a surface drive on a rigger before it will not get the back of the boat high enough out the water. Performance is t there

Yea man I'd go with just the wood kit, it's a fairly straight forward build.

Solder on the receiver could be broken? Or water it the servo? Idk. Wish I could help more
