Thank you so much for this comment! It really made my day, and encouraged me to make more videos. I'm heading to the InfoComm conference next week, hopefully I can get some new gear to unbox!
Yes. All of my audio for this recording was using the mic on the Shokz. For a sound comparison, this recent video was recording using a mic that costs two or three times as much as the Shokz headset. The expensive mic does sound better, but the Shokz is surprising close in quality in my opinion. ruclips.net/video/Gf2NTtnOIRY/видео.html
I was able to connect it to my iPhone using Bluetooth, so it should be able to connect to your laptop's Bluetooth as well. But the dongle might offer a more stable connection and it may make it easier to do firmware updates. It's also possible that the dongle might enable some of the UC features (controlling Zoom and MS Teams). I would check with the chat support on the Shokz website to be sure. This is a really good question, next time I talk to the Shokz reps I will ask them so my next video can be more helpful.
Super helpful and solid review, surprised this doesn't have more views!

Was your voice on the headset recorded via the headset mic?

Good video. Do I need the dongle if my laptop already has blue tooth or should i Just buy the $160 dingle-less version?

@@LetsDoVideo Cool thanks.
Can this be use for blogging?
Talking wile making videos on iPhone?
Sure! That sounds like a great way to use them. The iPhone recognizes the microphone so it shouldn't be a problem.
