Justin is introducing 16th note strumming this early? He stuck with 8th notes for a long time in the old course. I did Justin's course several years ago. It's still fun watching the new course. I'm still learning every day. Music is a life long journey.
I love strumming videos. It really helps a lot! I thought i was wrongly adding upstrums... i just feel i like it though. Thanks for your videos. I am addicted to your songbooks! It is hard to choose which songs to practice! Too many which i enjoy!
You meke it look easy but after more then one year trying to learn guitar I'm still not find the rithem right hand I think I have left hand under control about 80 porcent thank you much from Oregon
Hi Justin, firstly I have been watching your channel for about 18 months now, (maybe longer) and thanks to you, I have learnt alot, I have been "playing" guitar for a couple of years now, but I am not trying to be the next hendrix, clapton, blackmore or gilmore, just a hobby for me, I would like to know if you have or could do a lesson, or have done one on changing from chords to barre cords, as i am really struggling with that, and would you recommend playing with a backing track, this is somethiing I am, kinda scared of..... Thanks
Hi Justin, I do have a question about 8th and 16th - what to do with my leg? When I practice basic 1-2-3-4 down strums my strumming hand is completely synchronised with my left leg. With 8th note strumming pattern am I supposed to tap with my leg only for 1,2,3,4 or also with &'s? E.g. for 8th should my leg be synchronised with hand or hand should be moving 2x faster than leg? Thank you in advance
You should only tap once per beat, that is, on the 1, 2, 3 and 4 on a 4:4 signature. That means that the hand will do 4 movements (2 up, 2 down) for each tap of the feet.
This was a great video!!!!! Your lessons are motivating too, thank you. It feels great to step away from the strumming pattern “down down up, up down up” (╹◡╹)
This lesson was phenomenal, 16th notes was a struggle and this made it click. I think visually seeing the count with the strums.

Hey justin how do I practice licks and songs using a metronome?
Is it as simple as playing the chord/note on the click?
@@Raghav1205 Yes you have the idea. Start off slow and build the speed up gradually. Good luck.
@@sjlen thanks but I'm not sure about complex strumming patterns
New practice for strumming thanks
Mr Justin, can you make a video about Slapping a Guitar? There's many Tabs that need Slap and i find it pretty hard
Has Travis picking destroyed my hopes for 16th note strumming?
