Watched them in 1977 and 1978 in my “youth” and signed up for life. Also saw then 2003 and 2004 with better amplification and was blown away to a higher level!! Nothing topped Anderson, Howe, Squire, Wakeman and White live.
Thanks for being a completist about this, JP. Yeah, someone needs to let YesOfficial know they uploaded the wrong file for "I've Seen All Good People"! I was one of those who got the original vinyl with the 7" single tucked inside. So needless to say I haven't heard this in a loooong time. 😉 It's a solid version, with Chris to the fore yet again. Plus this is probably one of the last time he sings that high harmony over Jon. Steve's tone coming out of those Fender Twins was always a bit weird in larger arenas, though. He would later favor such a clean tone that it really emasculated the guitar in Yes shows.
The album cover on today’s and yesterday’s post is from CLASSIC YES, a compilation of the best studio tracks from their early albums. The track yesterday was from this album.
You should really find the correct version of I’ve seen all good people. It’s a particularly thrashing version of it. Those two we’re originally on a 7” single with the Classic Yes LP
Thank you for entertaining me while I’m sure you & the fam are on the move. Your wife’s channel is dead for 6 months. Have her vlog her (and yours) experience of clean up. I wanna see the condition of the old skool TV you have in the background. But I hope the vinyl was saved.
oh yes our house was fine there was basically zero clean up. A few small pine tree branches in the yard, that's it. Took me and the kid 30 minutes to clean up. Would have taken me 10 minutes if I did it alone lol. No damage. Vinyl is fine. My wife has when on and off RUclips for a long time. She's got a demanding job and other priorities, though I know she does like doing her vlogs.
Some songs on their live album Yessongs are better than the studio version : Siberian Khatru, Heart of the Sunrise, Yours is No Disgrace and Starship Trooper.
A very energetic rendition of "Roundabout". I love all the little flourishes Howe, Squire and Wakeman add to this performance!
Yes concerts were broadcast live on FM when they played in Chicago. Always great.
Chris and Alan are en fuego on this!
Sooooooooo much better than the YESSONGS version!

I saw them in 77 and 79 live energy off the charts

I really like Steve Howe's tone in this song. Great controlled feedback as well.
😎
🤩
The live version of Seen All Good People also appears on Classic Yes
Cool
I've been dancing to Roundabout for 53 years. Next Songs From Tsongas 35th Anniversary Tour, zero issues

I have the Classic Yes cassette and there was a live version of All Good People that was not what he played yesterday

@@JustinPanariello cool.
Sorry Yes but No.
This band needs to be heard from the studio recordings to enjoy the sonic artistry.
